Damn...the Iron Fist TV series is getting terrible feedback from the critics, scoring a measly 9% on Rotten Tomatoes and 32% from Metacritic… more.
This sounds like a bigger problem with the writing, pacing, poor action scenes, and uninteresting characters to me than it is about a white martial artist and superhero not being represented by an Asian actor instead of a white actor.
Even if the main character was replaced by a non-white actor to appeal the fans calling out for diversity, I don't think it would have made the reception any better than the show has right now.

So I wouldn't worry too much about that tbh. Or get wool from a place where it's certified..
The only thing you can do is tell the teacher that as a vegan you have a problem with this assignment, and ask if it's OK to omit the animal-product part of the testing, or if there is an alternate assignment you could complete in its place.

I just watched the film adaption of John Grisham's 'A Time to Kill'. Really dark movie that deals with a lot of uncomfortable topics, but I think it's important that films and literature continue to tackle such topics in a respectful and mature way, so that people do not remain willfully ignorant on such topics. I think everyone should watch this movie at some point.

Isn't vegan about not eating animal flesh? I'll admit I'm not really aware of the movement.
Not only that, he's also showrunning the Inhumans series. Hopefully it's not actually him that's the problem but just the writers for the show.
Pretty sure they avoid anything involving the use of animal products so that includes materials and clothing, not just food.

I believe that's vegetarianism, whereas veganism is about not using products made using animals in any way (so fur, leather, eggs, cheese, milk etc).
