  • Actually yes, I feel like I do relate.

The past five or so years (approximately), I've increasingly dreaded birthdays and Christmas's, but most of all, my own birthday. As a child, it brought me excitement and joy, but as a teenager, it brought me anxiety and stress. It's only the past year that I haven't really cared as much.

It's stressful finding or creating a present for someone... because I want it to be PERFECT!!! But I can be undecisive and end up procrastinating until the very last minute, then I don't actually have the time to make it perfect anyway. I have a very flawed way of working.

I find all of the attention and pressure associated with receiving presents stressful. Like... I'd just rather skip my birthday.

I hope that your mom had a great birthday and that you had a nice time with her. :)

My mom's birthday is on 29th December and this makes me terrified for some reason. Any birthday does this to me, actually, even my own. I just dread giving and receiving presents. Anyone can relate? I feel weird.

  • 2018...... It has been quite a year. From getting Batman: The Enemy Within Episode 4 and Episode 5 to The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 1 and Episode 2, to going online and seeing the tragic news that arose on September 21st. We may be leaving Telltale behind in 2018, but we will always have the memories that Telltale's games delivered to us, and we will carry them into the future, to tell the story of what was an underrated developer which had a rough life cycle, and the joy that was generated by what they created.

To anyone and everyone on these Forums, it has been an absolute pleasure to spend time on here throughout the year, it brought me great joy to see that Telltale's story concluded with many of its fans holding Telltale in a positive regard, for what they produced, and for the passion shown towards fan favourite Series' like The Walking Dead.

This video from Poogers is honestly quite emotional, and it listed a lot of the special moments that these Forums had, and even though I wasn't around for half of them, how much it meant to people is genuinely felt by me.

Thanks everyone, and Thank you Telltale for a rollercoaster 2018, there were plenty of down moments, but the highs are what matter most. Have a Happy New Year and a safe, successful 2019 Everyone

  • I often consider skipping Christmas and my birthday every year, mainly because my family is split up and spread around the country so I don't see them often and don't know them well. If it was a matter of socialising with friends it might be different but I hate buying presents.

I actually did start up a blog specifically for things like that as an assignment for university but I haven't continued since. I might try and continue it.

Hey, do you have a blog or something where you write reviews for games/movies/shows? I find your posts well thought out and interesting to read

  • Welp I sent in my resume for an internship. Wish me luck.

  • Happy New Year, welcome 2019 for EST! too bad Discord isn't working right now.

2018 was, eh, I don't know for me, but I've had worse years. Here's to a better one.

  • I nearly set my street on fire once on New Years. I am not to be trusted with any objects considered to be either flammable or explosive

2018 had its ups and downs, and I can’t really say much about it since I’ve only been on this site for three months, but I want to thank everyone for the wonderful times that I’ve spent meeting and talking to all of you on the forums.
Even though the Telltale website won’t last very long, I’m so glad that I was apart of this community, and I’ll always remember the times that we all had together. :)

  • Of all the multiplayer games there are, I love The Last of Us' Factions. Slower-paced, fewer enemies, fantastic gameplay ported from the main game.
It's the one multiplayer game that keeps me coming back year after year after year. Apparently, even this one.

So I decided to write a slightly more in depth version of my Bumblebee review on the blog I previously mentioned.

I enjoyed writing it and might write some more stuff like this in the future. Mind giving me your thoughts?

  • Is it safe to mix drain cleaner with dish detergent?

  • Not if you're going to drink it. It matters what you mean by "safe".

Obviously, drain cleaner is going to be formulated to work with whatever it finds in a drain, which is frequently dish detergent, so it's not going to be too bad. You can let the cat back in.

  • Im fed up with so called "friends" they are so toxic using me basically to laugh at they call me a moron or stupid even though they are jobless deadbeats and keep calling me gay just because i dont have a girlfriend (im hoping to have one soon) its making me annoyed and is making me not wanting to live anymore

  • If those were my "friends" i would have ended it all in the first day. You really dont need that in your life. You should find at least 1 real friend, like i have, the rest of them are morons and are not your real friends.
You should do something that makes you happy. For me its video gaming and movies, its what keeps me going and makes me live another day.
I would suggest to fuck off your friends and find real ones.

  • Those aren't friends, and it's pretty evident they're not qualified to judge you.

  • I recently made a youtube channel and would be thankful for any feedback. I have one video up now. It's the intro and outro to the channel and it's 54 seconds. I was thinking about making it a channel of complete walkthroughs of single player games and games with a single player campaign. I really love choice based games, anime based games, and horror based games and was thinking of making content revolving around those types of games.

Anyone remember the story about that company that rejected a job offer from Nintendo to help develop the Nintendo Switch's processor/graphics card/UI or something like that, assuming that they would get good publicity for doing it only to backfire and then they went bankrupt? The CEO of the company was mocking Nintendo about it too and acting really big about his decision.

I remember reading about it a while ago but I'm having trouble finding the articles about it again.

  • Oh shit, really?
    Damn.

thank you. I always wanted to play the mass effect trilogy. I was thinking about just doing choice based games first then transitioning to something else. I thought about doing commentary too but I'm not sure if I should do an intro or if I should play a game and then just talk during gameplay segments. I was wondering if I should turn the music down in all of the games I play too. I wouldn't want to get any strikes but it might sound weird with just the sound effects. Here's the link.

  • Uh,alright that's actually ok for an intro.

And about the music..i'm not the best person to ask about that, playing a game with no music is kinda weird, but i'd understand if you don't want to get any strikes.

  • So, thanks to the holiday season and a nice sibling I now have the first 3 Scott Pilgrim comics as gifts.
Never read the books, though I have seen the movie.

Coolest thing I've read so far: 90% of the first book is in the movie. I saw the movie again earlier last year, and while reading the comic now, I vividly remember the camera angles accurately recreating the panels in the book. Word-for-word dialogue is taken from it. Even the same font for narration is used in the film!

I've gotten to and skimmed the second book so far, and it looks to diverge a bit, but for that first part.... Wow.
    Bravo Edgar Wright.

  • Yeah the movie and the comics diverge very heavily past volume 1, in fact very little is actually adapted from volumes 4, 5 and 6 aside from the antagonists which makes reading the comic worth it considering how different they are.

If you like the comics I’d recommend Lost at Sea and Seconds by Bryan Lee O’Malley. They’re very different books than Scott Pilgrim (with the former being much more dramatic/slice of life than comedic) but worth reading all the same.

I've just realized: what the fuck happened to the Honest Game Trailers? They haven't made one since November with last one being Diablo 3.

WHY THE FUCK IS EVERYTHING DYING?

  • Just got the original Phoenix Wright Trilogy since it was (finally) on sale for the 3DS.

Only exposure to the series and mechanics I've had were with the Layton/Phoenix crossover game, and while fun, it was kinda difficult since the trials involved leaps of logic involving unexplained magic. ("You see, Mr. Judge, I believe this person killed them while invisible and the reason they aren't suspicious is because the murder weapon was invisible and it was also left at the crime scene still invisible which is why we haven't solved it yet.")

Hopefully these normal, "real" cases have easier to understand loopholes and contradictions.

  • Ever since I watched Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse I’ve been listening to Sunflower by Post Malone & Swae Lee so many times. I just can’t stop listening to it, it’s such a good and catchy song, and I really love the rhythm and flow of it. I also like the lyrics too except for one specific line, but I still enjoy it a lot.
