I always took that as a sign they ARE. You know since there was doubt that Glenn dying would be shocking. Well they could have done it to prove it would be.
It would be unexpected at least since everyone who read the comics expects that other awesome character to die instead.
I dont think so, having it be Glenn would be too predictable with the comics, and having him die after a super unlikely survival would just be bad writing.
Sorry, just incase. Anyway i think Abe dies either next ep or the one afther. He has to break up with Sarita first and Eugene needs to be with her so his final scene has meaning.
I'm almost positive Glenn will be the one killed by Negan. I just feel like with Glenn escaping death so much this season that it is gonna catch up to him with negan

It could happen and would be devastating, but is the show willing to risk it is the question. Daryl is a major favorite and I know him being killed off would piss a lot of people off and potentially drive them away
Damn, 6B is good so far. So many comic scenes adapted perfectly on screen. All the new guys seem fitting for their respective roles, especially Gregory. Jesus is kind of meh so far, but not terrible. He's only been the exposition guy for now, so I bet he'll get better. I love that they're following the comics more, because this is where shit really starts to go down. Hyped for the rest of the Season, and I can only hope that they keep this up. Three good to great Episodes in a row is not exactly standard for TWD these days.
Epic episode! Loving how they're going with the comics. Hilltop looks exactly like it's comic counterpart. Also love the tweaks. Maggie talking to Gregory instead of Rick made sense.
It makes perfect sense. Especially since in the show fans will know Dwight already. Just imagine theire reactions to him coming back with half his face melted and killing off Abe, a fan favorite with Daryl's crossbow.
ah yes they picked the perfect time to start pulling straight from the comics instead of fucking up certain bits (cough season 3 cough cough)
the next few episodes and seasons for that matter should be better than ever
The Hilltop Colony has Alexandria Television Adaptation Syndrome—also known as ATVAS—which means that there's barely anyone on the background, and this is specially noticeable on important scenes. It looks like a ghost town!
Harlan Carson was introduced sooner than most of us expected. Brianna was there too; she was the African-American woman with short hair. I haven't really liked Tom Payne's portrayal of Jesus, so far. I'm hoping that it gets better on future episodes.
It seems like Sasha is getting the Holly storyline, which makes me wonder if she will get the same fate. This is more interesting than in the comics though, because Sasha and Rosita knew one another beforehand. Also, what will the do with Francine? I spotted her during "No Way Out".
Gregory broke a record by being even more of a douchebag than his comic counterpart!
well i give it a 7-8/10. loving the scenes straight from the comics. any else smiled when they saw hilltop?? i did. not getting into specifics.. well maybe just a few. still not completely digging this dude as jesus, but i do not hate it. that Gregory, what a douche lol. ok maybe i missed something in season 5, but did maggie just all of the sudden turned into a leader? i remember in season 5 asking " wait? when did maggie get established as such important figure?" like really she arrived to ASZ and just became important. maybe i missed something but it just seemed weird. i know shes a very important character from the comics but i felt like they maybe skip maggie rising as a leader.
also after this episode, i feel that daryl might get the bat lol. just the way he acted here. gonna be interesting.

I liked a lot this episode... Maggies development was one of the best things, it was natural and accurate.
Gregory, Hilltop... Everything was very similar to the comics.
8.5/10
Pretty solid episode. I was interested and pulled in the whole way through, and it was pretty well written, not to mention how closely they followed the comics for this. I rate it 9/10. Also, I laughed way too hard when Daryl said that Negan's group was all bark and no bite, oh I cannot wait for the fucker to get his brains bashed in for brushing Negan off. Something To Fear, baby.
I have to say, eventhough I dont mind when they veer off and do their own thing, I really love how the show is bringing the comic to life. Such a great introduction to the Hilltop community, that snake Gregory. Little Glenn jr's first appareance and how sweet that scene was. Rick committing openly to Michonne and Carl accepting it with a smile. Maggie showing what a badass she is. Rick being the crazy ass we know he is,lol, and Jesus turning out to be a genuinely good guy. Also, Rosita is going to get a rude awakening when they get back. I hope Abraham levels with her and Sasha before he tries to move forward. So far so good in this back half, Id say.

ATVAS is my biggest consern/problem with the tv series. Sure the Hilltop looked great but it needs to show more people. Jesus claimed it had 300 in the comics (though the number might be closer to 200) so im guessing the trailers are packed and the house filled. It makes me worry for THAT scene since our old pall claimed to "Have fifty men pointing guns at you FIFTY!!!!!!!"
It would seriously hurt the scene if it was only like 10 guys.

I haven't thought about that, but it will surely need lots of extras for it not to look like a sad, cheap adaptation from the comics. Wellington will also need many background characters, but I'm guessing that it would be easier given that it doesn't need real people doing real stuff—I've got no idea how animations work at Telltale, though.

IIRC in the comics Abraham was a real douche about it, basically saying that he realizes now that there are other women than Rosita and that she was just a fuckbuddy.

they don't know what there walking in to, and its either daryl or glenn who is going to get their head bashed in since negan gets angry and finds out that ricks group (daryl) was the one that exploded a lot of his group is what is going to happen in the next episode, or it might be the next next episode since they are probably going to slowly play it out just to set up next next sundays episode, so all the might do is go in to the camp and end with seeing negan which would be annoying, hopefully the next episode has it all
Man, I can't wait for Jesus to unleash his secret weapon
Just rush in there and kill walkers like:
And then finish off Negan and his men all like:
This is exactly what happens in the comics right? Am I close? =D

Daryl has a new show, so it would make sense if he... Ya know..
It's all good I get where you're coming from. Anyways I wonder how he dies though. I wonder if they're definitely introducing Dwight.

Wooooo! Hilltop! This episode was just filled with foreshadowing, and the Negan hype continues
Who else loved the "...What?" scene adaptation? Straight outta the comics!

Which bit did they fuck up in season 3?
you implying that everything with andrea and the governor was decent? fuck no
No I was just asking which bit.
I think S3 was a major let down and so was the Governor who was very tame compared to the comics.

What? Maggie was learning with Deanna about leadership, she was like a teacher to her....

It was a good episode, looking forward to see Negan.
One thing we can be sure of, Negan/Saviours is gunna kill someone from the group. Who that will be is up for speculation
And this was a great episode for mainly dialogue. Where we are now takes the story forward which is great!

Yep, but I hope she doesnt share her fate. Thats where Im happy for the show to differ.
They are moving on rockets this season. Not a second to waste.
They dont know what we know. Given everything they survived, their confidence id natural. Especially after Daryl blew some of those guys up already.
I like Jesus fine. I like him a lot actually. He seems to be a peacekeeper.
Yep they established Maggie's leadership long ago.

This article makes a good theory as to why he might still die.
The nostalgia is real! I can't wait for the next eps.

That is incredibly accurate.
If anyone is wondering, this is from a short film called Fist of Jesus.
I think its the finale. There's still a few scenes we have to get to.........
I generally find the comic versions to be less likable than the tv versions of the characters. I dont even like comic Rick that much.
Doesn't that have a video game as well?
