The Walking Dead - Comic Issue 153: HEAVY HANGS THE HEAD (Discussion)
So how did you like the chapter? I knew that Brandon was a goner. R.I.P. in pepperonis Brandon. And Negan is on his way to the Whisperers I guess. Will he try to become the leader of them? Who knows.

I really liked this one. Negan's got his outfit back, Lucille's getting some action again, Whisperer conflict about to come to a head, Rick realizing all the Whisperer propaganda might end up backfiring, Negan stabbing an idiot (I know he's a kid and all, but he had it coming for releasing one of the most dangerous people alive), and of course, more fantastic Negan dialogue overall ("Fall in line, or fall down a fucking well.")
Also, a bit more insight into the reanimation process, and why walkers don't eat each other:
So I guess that means you have to be dead dead before you reanimate. Actually, now that I think of it, wouldn't that mean that people would theoretically turn faster in colder climates than in warmer climates?
LOL bye brandon you and your family sucked
Yeah good riddance. Never liked any of them. They had this shitty personality.
FUCK YES! Brandon is dead! I adore Negan.
Negan
Heh, that's what I like about Negan. It is sad he kills people that we care about, but he also kills people that we hate.
The Monroe community got mentioned again (The one that is in the Michonne game) I assuming that maybe Sam might become the leader of that place? Oceanside it's called now right?
Explain
Can't tell where he was walking... was he still going to get the Whisperers?
Damn that's cruel
Im worried about Negan
You got really confused along the way!
Monroe is Norma's floating community, which started as a couple of boats anchored to a pier. Oceanside appears to be an in-land community, for which Pete, Oak, Siddiq, Berto and Michonne are doing a fishing run for, although they haven't mentioned it. They know about Oceanside even before being taken to Monroe.
I suppose that makes me the only one who didn't dance on a ball because Negan killed that kid. I hated his guts, as seemingly almost everyone else, but Negan had no reason to do it. I don't count "because he freed the supreme badass" as a valid reason. Brandon had made him a favor by unlocking his cage not even a day ago. If Negan's reasoning is that he killed him because he was a traiton—as in Spencer's case—then he's a hypocrite; he also turned into a traitor by stabbing him. But let's just overlook that, shall we?
Oh I think for some reason I thought Monroe was the backstory of Oceanside Whoops.
He killed the kid because he found him annoying and had no use for him anymore. Or to be honest for no particular reason
Does Pete live at oceanside?
I feel like the comic is finally back on track now that Negan is free.
Seems like it.
"Or rather.." I didn't feel saddened when brandon died, felt so proud of Negan killing him. Though I hope He won't take control of those crazy skin-wearing people...lmao. I give it 7/10
Am I the only person that questioned Negan's sensitive side? Was Negan really sorry for insulting Carl and making him cry and didn't kill him because he had respect for him or simply he didn't have the opportunity?
Dude. Negan is j-diddly fucked. And I'm gonna cry for hours about it. Alpha is going to fuck his shit backwards.
Thats Negan we talk about. At this point I think he will kill Alpha and a few more and go back to Rick to tell him that and that he should trust him more. xD
Look, Negan has done some shit, but Alpha is ALPHA. She decapitated like 10 characters and a few of them were major-minors. Alpha is much more cold than Negan. Sorry to say, but the big swinging dick is beyond fucked. If he kills Alpha I will be very surprised.
Have Faith in Negan. He will do something great. I just know it.
Really? Im guessing shes tough but we've never seen her personally do much of anything. Already seen her vulnerable and crying as well.
You could be right but I hope negan is more a crazy third party in this war or even on ricks team
Meh, I guess you could be right. Negan is pretty fucking awesome.
No, Negan is life. Negan is love.
I like Alpha so much more than Negan, though. I'm hoping she decapitates him as well and sends someone to drop his head at Alexandria so that Rick gets the damn message.
Doesn't it feel like Negan being amidst the people of the caravan is a parallel to Lydia living in one of their houses? I'm starting to worry that Maggie will find out and order to kill her, creating tension between Maggie and Carl, and by extension Maggie and Rick and Andrea.
I believe that Negan was genuinely sorry for insulting Carl. If you compare Carl and Brandon, Carl put up a brave and badass front toward Negan most of the time, while Brandon didn't.
What on earth do you like about her? She's evil maybe even more evil than him and she's not exactly funny or entertaining, There totaly creepy too
Honestly i find her boring
I don't particularly like her—I find her more interesting than Negan. I'm loving her inner conflict so far, and I want to see how it concludes. I find Negan to be over-the-top, and his intended-to-be-comedic scenes make me despise him even more. I don't like the bully-like air constantly surrounding him, nor his dick jokes.
Why
Just read it! Dwight wielding lucille! Negan free, that sweet leather jacket! Killed brandon.
Now he's off to find the whisperers. Negan + Alpha showdown?
And hey, Negan killed someone before the end!
I don't want Alpha to kill him
Agreed. The comics have sucked since All Out War
I see the opposite of that.
I hope it's going to be Negan vs Alpha showdown (like Negan challenging Alpha), probably Negan beating the shit out of her and then screaming "I'm the fucking Alpha now, you stinky fuckers!"
That would be badass.
