Maybe it's just the lighting angles, but why do Javier and the mystery girl have more realistic skin complexion while Clem still looks more like a comic character?

The whole image looks off. Clem looks like a cartoon, Xavier looks like he found out he has a vag, and nothing seems complimentary of each other or matching.

This is what I was saying before.

Apparently, a few voice actor names and their respective roles appeared on IMDB. Among them was a Kate, which I'm guessing is the woman in the key art, and a Eleanor, which I would say is probably the little girl in the junkyard screenshot.
And it's a release date! Just what I wanted. I'm glad they didn't chicken away from delaying it, hopefully, they're using this time to work on the performance issues so the sales don't go down down dooown (wtf, lol). I'm positive that they've managed to fix the engine problems since the IGN Batman's Episode 4 reviewer said that she didn't experience any framerate issues this time around.
About the cover... Clementine looks oddly odd. Is she going through an angsty period on her life? Seriously, she's been so unpleasant to look at with all these resting bitch-faces. The girl on the foreground... Eleonor (?) looks extremely out of place. Herd of walkers... Javier with a worried expression... Guy running away from the walker herd... Noseless walker sniffing the moon... Clementine looking like she's taking a shit... Aaaand, she's just there... chilling. The fact that everyone has no idea who the fuck she is doesn't help either! (unless she happens to be an antagonist/bitch character. if so, that's a good way of presenting her.)
Javier is looking great as always. 11/10 - needs more beard.
Now, 20th December... This puts me in a dilemma. I can buy the PC version and play it right away on the 20th, yet taking the chance of having a completely broken unplayable game. Or, buy the PS4 version but having to play it days after release, since I'll only buy a PS4 post-christmas, which means certain exposure to spoilers yet guaranteeing a working game throughout the Season. Decisions... decisions...
Oh, and please everyone, let's do our best to not post any kind of spoilers about the 8 minutes of gameplay. Some people want those 8 minutes for themselves, so let's refrain from posting discussions with titles such as "HOLY SHITT JAVIER BITES CLEMS FINGER OFFF!! OMMGGG!!!1!" and not spoiler tagged comments alike.
News! Cool.

I just can't get over how gorgeous the models look. Batman looks nice, but Damn talk about a graphics overhaul for walking dead, such a great improvement in comparison to early screenshots. People are allowed to hate them, but I just can't wait to see these characters in motion. Kudos Telltale.
It's probably because they painted over portions of the key art. Or at least, I assume they did.
I doubt Javier is that heavily textured; the dirt and beard probably had extra detail added to them to pretty up the image.
I mean, almost all of Telltale's promo screenshots have some effects and filters added to them. And some of them just outright have other things (dirt, blood, etc) painted over the top of them.
For example:
This old screenshot of Carver in episode 3? All that blood isn't part of his in-game textures. It was just added to the image to make it appear more detailed. More... screenshotty.
There's an even older screenshot of Kenny in Starved For Help after he kills Larry where they did the same thing; a bunch of blood that was added over top of the original screenshot.
Clementine in the New Frontier key art is most likely 1:1 how she'll look in-game. While Javier is all prettied up for the key art. To make him stand out more, since he's obviously meant to be the primary focus of the image.

I love this
But of couse, You're right.
Each person is unique and each has its own problems in the heart. So you need to ask first.
* "Can I touch your beard?"
* "??!??"

Did You love new Javier's beard, Lila?
It's amazing!
I hope Clem will have an option to touch It.
1 [Thanks, Javier]
2 [Nice job, frie… morend]
3 [Touch to beard]
Clem: Oh yeah...
That's what we talking about.
Javi: !???
4 [...]
Clem anyway touching Javier's beard cause It's cool.
Sounds like if Job got really wasted and was trying to hype up the game on Twitter but instead made people think they were making a game about "goddamn nazis" as Lilly would put it.
All in the title. We got a release date (December 20th) and a new key art, as well as an announcement for a sneak preview during the Game Awards on December 1st. The game can also be preordered on Steam, and on console if you're in the US, UK or Canada (haven't seen any preorder option for my country yet). We also got the box art for the Season Pass Disc, which will come out on February 7th, and a short summary of the story.

Yeah, that was my thought as well.
Original Design since Clem has always had the original look vs New Design, Clem is stuck in the past.

Inb4 a plot twist Clem vs Javier
I just realized something. Where's AJ? He's not visible on the banner.
I wonder what this means, whether he's not that central to the story, or his presence spoils what happens in Season 2 for newer audiences.
Please don't say Xavier ever again.
I hate that name.
What's wrong with the name Xavier?
I'll consider your request.
But I like Xavier.
ok.
Why? What's wrong with Xavier?

If it's anything like what they did for Michonne, it's not going to be anything spoilery.
Xavier is a yankee name. Javier is cuban, I don't think his parents would give him a yankee name, specially with Cuba's history with the USA.
The GameStop one.
I don't like the sound of it, and I imagine the sound when I read it.
I actually think that could be a good idea!
Just stopped by to say congrats on the news! Ye had a long wait but the end is in sight and just in time for Christmas☺
Thanks!
I agree here. Javier is a Spanish name and Javier the character is Cuban-American. Is it really that hard to just type out Javier lol

The lack of Kenny/Jane disturbs me...
comes out of my cave
I've waited 3 years for this.
Why would they spoil something like that?
I would actually like a small little Walker Lee easter egg somewhere in the background.
Spoil what? If your choice matters or not?
I can't stand it. I don't even like my wife touching my beard.

I like that word.
Valking Ead: W Frontier
Sounds like the perfect name for this game.
...eeeerm, kinda hoping it grows on me, but if it gets chopped off it won't be mourned.
Did we get news? Did we get gameplay or a trailer? Where is it?
(I missed it, someone please help me)
haha. I'm imaging so many fans smashing their keyboards when they see "December 20th"

Sorry if this has already been posted 100 times, but...
That new cover art is awesome!
...and in just a month, I'm going to own that PS4 one.
