I'm just glad I decided to wait until the entire season is released before buying the game, if I do. I do not consider it a complete game until the final episodes come out, in turn I refuse to buy a game I do not consider complete, so.
That being said, there is nothing worse than an angry fan. Being a Gundam fan I had to put up with Gundam Fans when Gundam Seed came out, then had to put up with the same B*tch fest when Gundam Age came out. Two, very cartoonie looking Gundam anime, a franchise which well, sometimes can look cartoonie but rarely is cartoonie if you know what I mean. When someone cries because it looks cartoonie assuming it will be in turn cartoonie, well they've likely not been a Gundam fan very long. Gundam Seed is one of the most bloody Gundam anime ever made, and AGE had the mother of the protagonist crushed to death in the promo for the first bloody episode so.. ya. Whiners are whiners, and often complain long before they know what they're talking about.
That being said, people have a right to be critical of something they love when something about it changes. But there is a very gray line between criticism and whining. Just from what I've heard, not being able to play as Clem for me is a heart breaking thought. It was the expectation among fans, now she is a supporting character, again. That being said, despite being a supporting character, that doesn't mean she is no longer the focus on the game. Lee was the protagonist in the first game, and Clem was a supporting character. Now she is the Supporting character to another character, so it really isn't that big of a deal when I think about it deeply. However, the other things I've heard do sound pretty bad, but then again, they kind of did the same thing at the beginning of season 2 if I recall.
Now true Criticism is like me complaining about Battlefield 1 spitting in the face of history. But at the same time, not calling it a bad video game. It's a good Battlefield game, but not a good The Great War game, in my opinion. So history junkies like me often have a tendency of cringing at bad attempts to making a period game.
It's no different than the state of the forums during Season 2. And from what I've heard, it was the same back in Season 1. I've grown a little used to it at this point.
I actually like the Telltale forums more than other places or Youtube comments. Most of the times people can relate and agree with eachother. I would have liked to make a longer comment about this, but I don't know how to say this exactly, because of my English.
I feel bad for laughing, because a fair amount of their complaints are pretty valid. But getting on the forums to see nothing but negativity has gotten somewhat annoying, if I'm honest.
honestly the ones saying the flashbacks and stuff ruin the whole game are overreacting yea but i can see why people are upset (including me to some degree)
after 2 years this is how our choices mattered? they just decided to pull an omid again and move on after all the shit they copped last time yea k it's like they didn't even try tbh

Yeah yeah, I can understand how Telltale fucked up on the flashback scenes. But w… morehat about the entire fucking episode? What about that?
I don't understand how people make their own opinion of TWO episodes based on one flashback scene? That's honestly hilarious in my opinion.
Why aren't we complaining about the episode in one post? Why do we feel the need to expand and create a 100 more talking about the same thing the previous post did? You see what I mean?
i think you misunderstood me a bit i'm not saying the whole episode was ruined by it the episode was pretty good i reckon, i'm more upset about the fact that really those scenes can be seen more as a big fuck you to fans who have been here since the season 1 and 2 days since it seems they are just trying to act like they don't exist (besides having clem in the game and all obviously)

It's definitely more welcome here than on YouTube comments. I only meant that a lot Walking Dead fans exaggerate a lot, imo. Rarely does anyone personally attack another forum member.

I agree with this. I've found that outside of The Walking Dead, the other game sub-forums are really good, and people can debate and theorise. The Walking Dead does seem to blow up in comparison. I'm hearing great things about the story for A New Frontier, so I can't wait to play.

Exactly. I don't understand how ONE bad moment can ruin an entire episode for people. The death of Sam's father in episode 2 of Michonne for me is hands down one of the dumbest moments in the entire franchise, but yet, I still thought it was the best episode of Michonne regardless. Why? Because the rest of the episode was actually pretty good. Was it a total masterpiece of gaming? No. But I won't let ONE ridiculous moment ruin something for me. That just comes comes off as nitpicky to me. The same goes for Season Three. I can understand being dissapointed with how the Season 2 endings were handled (I am myself), but saying the entire episode sucks because of it is a bit of an overreaction and is a little fucking ridiculous. My biggest pet peeve with a lot of the people in this forum is that they take things for what they want it to be rather than for what it is. And for what it is, guys, is Season Three really worthy of all this hate? Is it really the worst thing since the black plague? Good lord, guys. You need to calm the fuck down.

For the most part, I think that the new Walking Dead series from Telltale is heading towards an interesting path. There were so many twists and turns in the first two episodes which kept me on the edge of my seat and I am really looking forward for what's in stored next. There has been so many tough choices to make in these past 2 episodes and I believe the harder the choices, the more fun the game is.
For example one of the toughest choices that I had to make in any Telltale game was rather or not to let Conrad capture Clementine or to defend Clementine. For my first save game I decided to let Conrad capture her and it turned out that at the end of the episode where they so the percentage of the choices you make, capturing Clementine was definitely not the popular choice. It was like only 9.5 of the gamers chose that choice and believe me I was very worried how that choice would have turned out. Everybody I think, loves Clementine, & I would have been so ticked off if anything happened to her.
When I play Telltale games, I would consider myself more of a passive player who tries to save everyone from the timeless doom. That's why I chose to capture Clementine because even though Conrad seems to be a mindless jerk (understandably after having to watch his wife/significant other die in front of him), I didn't want to shoot him because I feel that I can turn him around and make him see the silver lining. In a World of brain eating zombies running or in this case walking around looking for their next meal, it's always best of having strength in numbers. Trust, faith, and a general good cense of common cense can go a long way in coming up with the best solution that everyone can be happy with. However it's not always the case in a Telltale game because no matter how hard you try to save everyone, we all know that someone is going to kick the bucket eventually. Anyway, I'm so relieved that Clementine managed to live another day despite that I unceremoniously threw her under the bus, and that Conrad's dumb butt was left unscathed at the end of episode 2. I just hope that David doesn't find fault in me that his wife and daughter was shot by his crew in episode 3. If he does, I'm definitely not going to back off a second time, I'm going to tell that egotistical nut job what I really feel about him!
Keep up the great work Telltale, all your games are AWESOME! But for the love of God, please don't kill off Clementine, she's like the hard outer peel that keeps the orange (group) together.

But you are, I suppose? Just because you liked the episode?
Yeah yeah, I can understand how Telltale fucked up on the flashback scenes. But what about the entire fucking episode? What about that?
What about the last two seasons, the last four years, and everything its built up to? Do you not care about that? Because Season 3 certainly doesn't.
But just speaking just about those episodes, for many they were too short, and squandered the one thing they were looking forward to most, the culmination of their choices from last season.
I don't understand how people make their own opinion of TWO episodes based on one flashback scene? That's honestly hilarious in my opinion.
Because that one flashback (it's actually several) throws away two of the series biggest characters in an underwhelming way while giving the finger to their most loyal fans, who have waited and debated over them, for years?
Did you stay with Kenny? Doesn't matter lol. Car crash.
Did you stay at Wellington? Doesn't matter lol. It fell.
Did you stay with Jane and the family? Doesn't matter lol. They left.
Did you stay with Jane by yourself? Doesn't matter lol. She ded.
Did you stay on your own? Well done! That was the right answer!
If you're really struggling to understand why people are annoyed, then it's clearly you who are not "the brightest."

The official thread for people who want to complain about people complaining about something they like without any understanding of why those people are complaining in the first place.
Walking Dead was my first Tell Tale game. It actually was the first Tell Tale game for many people here. That game got many others and I into their other games. Walking Dead is a very important Tell Tale series to us, so when TT continues to make underwhelming sequels to it, we get a little upset. I loved the Michonne series and that wasn't a direct sequel to the first or second game. I loved a three episode series standalone more than a five episode direct sequel. Why is that ? The writing was excellent and I cared about the characters. Norma and her brother were well written villains that made me hate them, unlike Carver.

There's nothing wrong in expressing your disappointment in something.
No but the fact that there are like hundreds of posts talking about their disappointment is starting to make me laugh
GOD HELP US
I'm the happy laughing baby, since I liked it.
these used to make me laugh like hell back then
I'm usually the optimistic type but damn, even I can't defend this game. I'll still hold complete judgment though.
I guess its not good so many people are disappointed then

I usually don't complain, but if you don't complain Telltale (or any other company) will continue with what they did.
Complaining is needed sometimes
Not everyone's ranting. I liked it and a lot of other people did too. The Walking Dead forums seem to blow up a lot.
Hilarious.
The fact that Telltale fucked up so bad that it lead to hundreds of negative posts is what should make you laugh. Not the posts themselves.

That's a little harsh. BTW.
Especially when you paid good money for it..
What about the last 2 seasons of the game? That's kind of important to me, and probably a lot of other people.

This isn't even the worst the forums have been. I vaguely remember a mod leaving for a while at one point.
