I do have a pretty pessimistic outlook on the season as of now. I keep finding myself trying to be cautiously optimistic and saying that it can only get better, but who knows.

Thread: Less play time = less wait time?
So as everyone here already knows, the first 2 episodes of twd season 3 were only about 1 hour… more long each which I'd a huge step down from ttg's usual episode length. My question is, if this is the new standard of quality that we should expect from the rest of the season, should we also expect less of a wait time in between episodes? I know I personally would feel pretty upset if I had to wait two or more months for an episode that lasts less then 60 minutes
This season may have had a very disappointing start, but I really want this season to be decent, I genuinely do. But Telltale has to put in the necessary effort and care.
Sweet! Looking forward to more info next month. Although I think this should have been put into the Episode 3 waiting thre-Oh that's right, … moreit was removed because it was a just a barrage of insults toward telltale staff, and all around negativity, despite waiting threads being made for people who at least like what's happening in the series.

What is going on right now at TT dungeons is either:
DenialTale - "We did nothing wrong". When they decide to endure this madness by waiting - as all creations have dark periods, let's just wait, fans will stop after the release... right?
or
PanicTale - "The end is nigh"; while they desperately rewrite upcoming episode and/or the whole season scenario, and we are about to experience more plot holes and poor character development, along with overused stuff and beards made out of cardboard or...they will actually fix some of the problems and make us all happy few.
This is one of my most favorite franchises, if not the most favorite.
but they've taken both season 2 and 3 in to totally different ways that I wished. I would have loved more work in choices and not killing everyone of every single time, cause we need some people to develop a bigger friendship or the oppusite with and fuck fucking time skips all the fucking time, no matter if it's days, weeks, months or years. WE DONT NEED THAT. but it's a little late now. I REALLY WISH FOR THE BEST

I know most of the flash backs are based off of what happened in the time skip between season 2 and ANF but I want to see a flashback with Lee like in season 2 just so I can see him in the new engine he might look more sexy then Kenny. Also it would probably be WAY WAY to early but I wonder if episode 3 would release in the 7th along with the season pass disc like some of their episodes have been recently doing.
So, this thread is essentially home base, and is meant for people who are still curious or interested in what happens next in episode 3. Ya gonna hate or insult Telltale (go ahead and hate on the premiere all ya want), literally go anywhere else on the forums. Don't want to have to see this thread being closed again.
We giving our honest opinions and still saying that we wish for the best.
How would Telltale ever work on feedback, if they only get positive ?
We should be totally honest with what we think.
Why close a thread, when we speak without hurting anyone, only speaking from the heart.
I'm still courious and still like it so far in a whole, but in my opinion, they are giving less to their fans when it comes to a "worth a buy"

The thing is that a lot of threads seem to be mistaken for official hate threads. Even one of my favorite threads, the details thread is being ruined for me.

This thread had to be closed because of the barrage of insults being directed toward Tellale, and its staff. People were rude to community managers who are just doing their jobs, like jesus christ. The people making these games are only human, and deserve to be treated with respect, its entirely possible to provide critique without the "Lol telltale sucks HA".

Never said you did, just saying that this has been a majority of the critique Telltale has been getting as of late, which isn't particularly helpful or encouraging. This thread doesn't need to be on fire like the rest of the community, its made to discuss and look forward to the impending release of episode 3, and that's it. Want an example?
"Wow the premiere just wasn't up to par compared to Telltale's usual standards, the flashbacks were incredibly disappointing, and the lack of Clem has been discouraging, but I do like playing as Javier, and I am curious about what will happen next, hopefully I'll enjoy this episode more".
Not my actual opinion, but boom a natural, calm critique
Its a mature rated game, and it should be expected that people act the intended age if they are to discuss. Its depressing when the Story Mode community is more calm, and polite.
The situation was... a bit more complicated than that. People are entitled to their opinions and are fully welcome to voice negative criticisms of the game itself here in waiting threads, as long as you aren't personally insulting users and all that. We just ask that you keep your posts focused on the game itself. But, it doesn't mean that people are only allowed to speak positively about the game. Negative criticisms are fair, but y'know, let's please just keep it directed towards the game and not the people working on the game.

You know, it is possible that they genuinely do acknowledge the fan feedback internally, but that they just are not openly dwelling on the negativity of some of the feedback. Even if they are aware, it's not like you're see a Job tweet saying "we kno da game sux, sorry lolol". A tweet where they openly acknowledge that they are taking fan feedback into consideration (like the one Job made recently) is probably the most realistically direct acknowledge we will get.

I am here for the funny posts and memes

Trust me, it can always get worse.
The thread is open again.
Let's hope it stays open now.
Is there a conspiracy among Moderators to have their avatar be Mr. Crab?
You know too much Dave
"Episode 3 will be so HUGE that they will have to split it in 3 parts!"
So big they gotta split it to make an episode 6 which we gotta pay for!
If we look into our hearts, it can stay open as long as we want.
We waited 2 years and the episode lengths are arguably less than Season 2, which took 1 year, so I don't think so
Hopefully "Big Episode" means "Long Episode"
Probably means "action-packed"
ib4 Clem only gets a 30 second flashback
God please no.
They really need to do something big
Cause I'm afraid of them killing the franchise and fans leaving....
This MUST not happen
I hope for the best.

Oh... so that's where it went.
Yikes. sigh of disappointment

Don't worry, she'll get a full one minute! Whooohoo what a wild ride!
mfw that one minute is better than the entire episode
When its just like ep 1 flashbacks
tfw telltale actually listens to feedback but only this one

I like me too.
All the hate threads is why I came out of the woodwork in the first place. I was poking around the forums periodically for a few months before that.
Edit: I shouldn't be the minority when it comes to being rational about a videogame.
