Saddest thing is, Telltale has wonderful, caring community which supports them and wants to help them improve/fix their mistakes, however all Telltale does is minimize and ignore us. It's not outraged hatred towards them, it's constructive criticism and honest feedback from many great, passionate people, yet TT keeps calling us a minority and marginalize their fans as they meant very little to them. No AMA will fix it, especially something handled as badly as the current one.
Something in his statements particularly irks me, he indicates that Telltale are attempting to replicate films, and almost sounded like they… more deliberately keep their stories short, opposed to fleshing them out, to fulfill a "bite sized" marketing goal or something ridiculous.
I have more than a few problems with this, first of all, as much as they would want their games to run on IOS, they are utterly screwing over console and pc players by throttling themselves with weak technology, simply for the accessibility of a poorly running story with almost no gameplay, when these people would have an easier time just watching the episode online (and it would look and run better as well). They seem to have no interest in innovating in their engine design, technology, animation quality, visual fidelity, or cinematography.

That is probably the most important post, i've ever read regarding Telltale.
My problem with ANF is, how the narrative is structured. You really have no end-goal or anything. Many scenes feel forced, to move the plot forward, without any direction. The game that did their narrative the best is, imo, Tales from the Borderlands.
Your first goal is to get the Vault key. It gets destroyed and you lose your money, so your next goal is to return it. It gets destroyed but you find the gortys project. End of Episode 1.
Your Main goal of Episode 2 is to find the Atlas facility and get the Gortys Core. You find both. End of Episode 2.
Your Main goal of the rest of the season is to Open the Vault to get rich. You find it. End of the Season.
The transition from one goal to the next is just smooth and doesn't rely to much on random events or something.
I miss this kind of flow in TWD.

Remember Tales from the Borderlands narrative had help from the ppl that made Borderlands, while Telltale can manage a good plot without help from other companies SOMETIMES it can be annoying to make a good plot for other games like TWD

You'd be surprised about what art you might have seen floating around on the internet that turned out being mine. I've seen a couple profiles on youtube/social media that used my art as profile pictures. Check my twitter media and deviant art, most of my work is there.
picks up pencil
Me: "I'll try my hand at drawing again, I can do it, it will be the best piece of art ever...!"
sees how much work goes into just the line work

In regards to that, as much as they want to replicate films (as discussed a while ago by Flimsii), their games completely lack the technical, auditory, and visual quality on display in.... pretty much any film.
They also believe that films last an hour long if we look at the length of some of their episodes. I honestly still have no idea why they don't utilise what makes games so unique from film and TV and that's the interactivity and pace of games. In a game, things go at your own pace. This can either be a good or a bad thing where some games it feels like you're just doing gameplay things to get to the next cutscene (hm...sounds familiar...) but in other games is an example of fully appreciating the design/environment/gameplay aspects.
Yet Telltale are content with giving us little to no hubs and just want to rush the story as fast as possible to get to the ending. But this is a game, I'm in no rush to get straight to the ending. I want to talk to the characters, I want to spend time in their meticulously crafted worlds. I want to feel immersed. But I can't do that because of this ridiculous mindset of finishing the episodes in one sitting. It's over before it begins.

Telltale's problem was that they forgot why we're here...becuase mostly of games like twd season 1 and tales, and now every game it's getting shorter and less elements of what we loved (hubs, communications and side characters that we cared about and loved...and now they want the eps to be shorter than my dick so.for that they will loose big time if they continue this laziness film like bullcrap

Yeah exactly... I'm loyal because of my experiences with their games but each release seems worse than the last. In the past I've bought every single new series just because I loved and trusted Telltale, but the new GotG game is the first that I'm actually considering not buying because of my recent experiences.

They're not going to be story rich if they're short, man. The more time there is to work with, the more story rich they will be. Being complacent with short episodes is the equivalent of accepting a shorter, not as rich story. Period.
Me, personally, I can live on with episodes being short, as long as they are story rich and actually put my previous choices to work. You se… moree, there's the reason I considered TT an excellent storyteller back in Season 1. 'Choices matter' is a slogan which completely lost its importance, but if TT has brought it back, I think it would receive an explosion of positive feedback and sales would increase right away.
It's rare nowadays, to make something original and different from what all other companies do; and there's nothing more distinguishing than creating a genuine and variable narrative.

Nice art, but i still hate javier tho!
More playtime of course, i want to play as her so much again in present time atleast 50/50 with Clemy and javier
He is always like this, isn't he?
I agree games that try to be movies just suck.
That is probably the most important post, i've ever read regarding Telltale.

Use my work as inspiration not an obstacle. Had I put down my pencil whenever I saw good art, that Javier drawing wouldn't have ever existed.
Any reasons you want to share or are we just going to agree to disagree? xD

You ruined it!
Didn't you ask me why I didn't loose my mind yet? I DID NOW!
Not trying to be a downer here, but it's only gonna get worse. Fasten your seatbelt, sir!
I've started visiting this community for 1 month and this happens can't wait for more shitty me!
That's cute.
You're awsome.
Aw thanks. (:
They are taking what makes movies awful and videogame great. I don't want it to last one hour, I want it to last months.
Do you have a dick?
That is actually a relevant question.
No, I mean seriously. It would make more sense if he didn't (if he was a she). Just saying.
I love how Javier save Clem ... she looks so helpless in this scene.
Borderlands called, wants its hand-gun back.
This looks amazing!!! Eleven hours, holy cow
Its based on opinion, but you state it as its the majority. You gave 2 negative reviews of two things that many enjoy and like. Season 2 was awesome.
Wow, very well said. My thoughts exactly.

The guy sure likes emojis
Yeah, but by 'short' I mean minimum 90 minutes, which comparing to S1 episodes that had like 2 and a half of solid gameplay is still very little.
I hope this doesn't end with him going to the doctor again.
Thank you! And yeah, 11 straight hours. From 12pm to 11pm . I don't regret it one bit.
Lol you look a bit concerned there buddy dw it was just a joke
