Theories on Eleanor in episode 3?

  • Yes, but foreshadowing and symbolism like this can't be ignored. It's the fact that she was driving the car.

She was driving the NF car because they killed the NF that attacked Prescott for it and it was the closet ride they could find.

  • I don't exactly trust people who are so nice. I could be wrong and she is really a nice person. But niceness in an Apocalypse tends to unnerve me.

  • Exactly.

People aren't exactly giving out free hugs like this sneaky lady.

  • Eleanor did go all-out flirting with Javi, though!

She does seem like a massive flirt when given the chance XD, but it's hard for me to believe she would have sex so fast in a relationship and then break up I meant! LOL

Oh, that sounds about right! I will follow that interpretation instead and say that they were in a relationship for a little while. Fo

  • Glad to see someone who thinks that too. When the decision to go with her or wait came, I found her way too shady about all of this, I can't really explain why but I don't trust her one bit. I even thought she was responsible for all the mess that happened afterwards... She could still be... Wouldn't be surprised if she ended betraying us some way or another later on. Or she is totally fine and we are just crazy.

I'm not sure about Eleanor. Something about her doesn't seems right.

  • What a dilemma, right?! lol

  • Wait... Confirmed?! WHERE?

You have a solid grip on spoiler sources, Megami. Elle dies in "Thicker Than Water" confirmed!

  • I went with Tripp because I didn't want to tip him off nor did I trust that. And also Clementine pointed out that it'd sound weird, but she trusts Tripp more than Eleanor. So I said to myself "Clem knows this place better than us, so we go with her instinct on this".

  • Who knows, maybe there's a new frontier band behind that scarf she's always wearing...

  • When Clem said she trusted Tripp more than Eleanor, I told myself "glad we agree here".

Tripp does sound like a guy with the heart in the right place, in my opinion. He had the opposite effect of Eleanor on me; I instantly trusted Tripp. It will really hurt if he betrays Javi later down the line, although I think he will die before that can happen because that's just what happens to big guys with big hearts in this kind of story.

  • Agreed, I trusted Tripp pretty fast.

  • Same, Trip just has the sort of "honest and reliable" aura about him. Even if he threw us in jail, it was his right to do so and even worse after all, I still took his word without hesitation. On the other hand, Eleanor has done nothing but nice things and I'm still like "Don't try to gain my trust, I freaking see through your game" with her. Odd isn't it? I guess she just feels like there is something off about her... A nagging feeling without any proof but persistant nontheless.

  • Ha, plot twist! Actually, it can be good if it's well worked.

I think Eleanor went to the gates to get someone to help her with Kate and she either got shot or taken prisoner. I don't think she has any connection to the NF.

I said it before, Eleanor is the true leader of the New Frontier. Regardless, i didn't mind the flirting or trusting her enough to leave with her at night. Not only does nothing change no matter who you bring (Making the decision pointless) but i needed to get to my family asap. Don't care how Clementine feels on the subject. Even if she is a member, what could she possibly have to report back to them? That Javier and Kate kissed?

  • Near the beginning of the second episode, I had a crazy theory that Eleanor wasn't treating Kate efficiently on purpose, because maybe she senses something between Javi and Kate? Regardless, the idea of her being part of the New Frontier sounds plausible.

  • Ok, only three of those points actually mention her personality which is what I was referring to. The rest are just facts about her life.

Falling into the nice, caring doctor archetype and nothing else, she isnt anything more than a bland, one note character.

Eleanor: * Was a emergency medical technician. * Compassionate; sympathetic. * Naive; trusting. * Peacemaker. * Was in a fa

  • No wonder Clementine has such a hard time trusting me in Episode 1. XD
I always play my characters as super nice.

  • I like Eleanor a lot but I am a bit concerned. For her safety and whether or not she's truly one of us.

  • Yeah, shame on you. ;)

    seemed suspect at best.

  • If we follow the Doctor Carlos' death formula, she's gonna get shot while escaping in episode 3.

  • Katjaa is also no more than the nice caring medic.

  • Has a fucking sniper rifle.

Knows how to ride a horse

    ...... How are these traits?

Eleanor: * Was a emergency medical technician. * Compassionate; sympathetic. * Naive; trusting. * Peacemaker. * Was in a fa

  • They are just trivial aspects that humanize her to a degree but are of little relevance when it comes to who she is—but I included them anyway, seeing that Carlos and Katjaa have so few of them.

Has a fucking sniper rifle. Knows how to ride a horse ...... How are these traits?

  • I don't trust her one bit, she gives me the creeps.

She was way too eager to help for no reason and I also got the feeling she wasn't doing everything she could for Kate.

I'll confess I even thought the deal with her bumping the car was on purpose but I'm probably overreacting.

  • Oh Man I would love it if in the last episode (or the last scene of Episode 4) it was revealed that Eleonor is the true leader of NF. THAT would be a plot twist.

  • Well, they all die being shot, but the circumstances differ.

She might get shot by accident, since it hasn't happened to any doctor yet.

Or committing suicide because Tripp gets shot. (Katjaa reference).

  • Or gets headshotted because she missed her shot at killing someone like Jonas if you killed Zachary

Well, they all die being shot, but the circumstances differ. She might get shot by accident, since it hasn't happened to any doctor yet.

  • She was way too eager to help, even if she is just a decent person. Even Walter would've had more precaution than that.

Her leaving Kate behind and vanishing to "go find help" is completely fishy and I just simply don't trust her very much.

  • She was also a wife and a mother, plus she didn't like guns.

Katjaa is also no more than the nice caring medic.

  • Honestly, as soon as Telltale had Clem say she trusts Tripp more, I felt something was off. Why would they put that in? To see if you'd follow Clem's judgement? Hinting at Eleanor being bad? I don't know.
As people have already mentioned, the fact that she drove the NF car could be symbolism . There's also her scarf which could be covering a brand and her mysterious disappearance at the end of ep2...
Then again, I may just be overthinking, she could actually be in trouble in Richmond but I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

  • Technically, Carlos got shot by accident. Tavia and her underlings were just trying to fight off the herd and apparently didn't either see them sneaking through or just didn't care.

Well, they all die being shot, but the circumstances differ. She might get shot by accident, since it hasn't happened to any doctor yet.

  • But whats the point? They released them together anyway. Why split them? I just don't get it. If they truly were lazy wouldn't they release 2nd episode later down the line? You think worst case scenario is happening and that they will cut other episodes shorter as well now to fit into 3 instead of 4?

  • I decided to choose with my mind not my penis I'd chose to go with tripp and everything cuz A. He would be pissed off. B. Eleanor is technically Tripp's crush and I don't want to mess it up for him and plus he'll be mad at me soooooooo. C. I say Kate is a better match with xavi But then again David is still alive ..............................

  • Upset if you didn't accept her help during the night and also rode back with her to Prescott to help Kate.

How is she upset? She acts the same from what I've seen.

Eleanor: * Was a emergency medical technician. * Compassionate; sympathetic. * Naive; trusting. * Peacemaker. * Was in a fa

  • Somebody clearly shouts: "SHOOT THEM" when they're getting through the herd, referring to the survivors.
