  • I didn't say that it was the worst, I'm saying that S3 is not going well either. It'd be hard for it to be even more terrible than S2 was.

.....That season 3 is the worst. That's why i said at this point...

  • calm down, you can't really make a decision yet without even playing the other half of the game first

I don't have season I think is the worst. There are pros and cons to each season and theiron respective stories, but overall I absolutely love the series.

I view TTs TWD as an interactive comic. You have the choice to tailor PC dialogue, but not the power to change the overall story---this is b/c the game is more about the story...how the story makes players feel about morality and what is right and wrong. This game isn't about changing the story, but how do you react to the various situations.

  • Crazy idea here, but how about not creating the same complaint threads over and over again and wait for more episodes before you judge the season as a whole?

As much as I hate to say it, this is probably going to be the norm for at least another week, especially given that recent interview

People will cool down and things will get a bit more civil, but not until everyone is done being pissed first

  • Lazy mods. Just sayin.

Why are all those threads still unmerged, though?

  • I wish TTG gave us something to get us busy with. This radio silence is just unbearable.

  • B...but Telltale says:

"Choice matters: the story changes based on your decisions."

"... in a story where every choice you make could be your last."

Well, i loved season 1 & 2. Season 3 was really good for refund, i rather watch it from youtube because decisions doesn't mean s**t.

S1 was the worst because the characters were too realistic and so were the problems they faced. Also the episodes were too long and the story and characters had too much depth which meant I actually cared about them.

It was basically not simple enough for me and there was not enough action stuff like explosions, shootouts and car chases etc.

  • Why are you so angry. Calm down take a breath.

The full game isn't out yet, so just wait for a little while before jumping the gun and calling it a waste.

It's not even a bad game, you are just mad at something and decided that the game is trash because you don't like it. Also if you liked the Michonne series, then I don't see how this could be any worse than "that".

  • Honestly I think I could really enjoy Season 3 if only the episodes were longer. If Ties That Bind had been a single episode, I would be here singing its praises. There are things I dislike, like the way choices mean nothing but obviously that's been an issue since Season 1 and I never truly expected it to change. I think the including of Jesus was a cheap cash-in especially with the plug in the actual comic and just like the Michonne series in using a fan-favourite to generate artificial interest. And while I would obviously prefer to play as Clem, I think getting an outside perspective on her character and having the option to treat her well (which we probably ALL did on our first playthrough, come on) or to see her as a dangerous stranger who has let the world corrupt her.

So... worst season yet? Can't say, honestly. I had a pretty low expectation going in because I saw some of this hate on the forums and thought the comments sounded valid but I really don't dislike the new characters -- infact I like Javi's family more than nearly all the Cabin Survivors. Episode length is the biggest letdown, and while I pray that Telltale hears the complaints and extends episdoes 3, 4 and 5 I seriously doubt it. Which sucks because you can't have good hubs or puzzles if you're just rushing through the episode with QTEs and no hard choices. Oh, that's my other problem actually. Not a single choice did I have to think about, whereas Season 1 and even parts of Season 2 had me agonizing over what to do. The key, I think, is to make the "wrong choice" more pragmatic but have the "evil/bad choice" seem like it will benefit the characters you most care about. Of course, the effect is lessened now that we know what happens to deterministic characters and how little our choices truly matter. Seriously, does anyone think Conrad will survive Episode 3 if you didn't shoot him for Clem? Of course not.

Anyway, I'll reserve judgement. I already like it better than Michonne which I honestly felt ZERO attachment to any of the characters. I even quite like Michonne in the comic, although she's overrated, but it just felt flat and empty. And Season 2 was better than 400 Days of Season 1, though you could argue that 400 Days was part of Season 2 more than 1 really. But yeah. If Telltale extends the length then I would honestly rank Season 3 slightly above Season 2 which was quite a bit lower than Season 1.

  • It was like that for Season 1 and 2, nice band wagon you jumped on there.

  • It's going fine actually, it's got really high ratings, it's just the forums that complain and complain.

Season 3's main problem is the lack of down time and development.

Add in 10-20 more minutes of down time to interact with more people and get to learn their back stories more will fix every problem with this game.

I didn't say that it was the worst, I'm saying that S3 is not going well either. It'd be hard for it to be even more terrible than S2 was.

  • Season 3 shouldn't be judged as a whole quite yet, but it is necessary to have people really speak on how displeased they are with what was presented. I like the new characters, I like the story, but it is obvious that some of these ideas were rushed. I believe if TTG had more time, that storyline with Conrad would have been ax'd. So back to the topic, if I had to judge between season 1, 2, and Michonne's mini-series, I'd choose Michonne as the worst. I played it, and really didn't like it. I did not hate it, but it was so boring to me. It suffered from some of the same problems season 2 had, where you're paired up with people you don't like. I couldn't stand Sam, I really couldn't stand that character, and I did not want to associate with them but I was forced to in order to advance the plot. Season 2 had many characters just doing things that caused them to be too unlikable for me. In Michonne; Sam & her brother kept lying and stealing, Randall is a POS, Norma is fair but goes too far so she loses my sympathy. I just can't stand not having likable characters around me in a TTG. It ruins the experience for me, and I end up looking for any way to just get to the end or have the character die. I did not like any characters in Michonne's mini-series except for Sam's friend with the blonde hair, but I can't even remember her name. The hallucinations were done way too often, but that's unfair of me to mention as a flaw because by my understanding, it's done a lot in the comic.
