I have gotten this request (in various iterations) from quite a few people so this will most likely be my next project.
Edit: I would like to know what environment is the most popular for this to take place in? (has to be somewhere Guybrush has been, and Might have a reason to take out his sword.)
I think the Shot from LotL where Guybrush is first opening the chest that contains Murray where it cuts out and it is framed with the treasure.
With Guybrush and the Parrot looking down into the Chest

Personally I like versions without the logo. I know it's Monkey Island, I don't need the logo confirming. I think the logo takes away from the picture.

Well its all assets from LotL; it's the flame Next to Noogie(+ a little photoshop). It's more of a Murray's Self image rather than an event, But yea it is about as far as I can stray from actual events.
edit: I got the idea from his last line after the credits roll "Praise the Burning Face of HELL!"

I'm not sure why, but the Murray render (the 1280x960 one) when it's applied as a wallpaper has 3 sections, with the skull section sharper than the 2 black sections. It's weird :S

Just tried the higher res one, it's a little better but still appears to have 3 "sections" instead of one whole picture. it's just odd...

I tried just grabbing (what I thought were) the 2 most common monitor aspect ratios. I don't have the bandwidth to host every possible size but, GIMP is free and easy to use for resizing, cropping, and other such Photoshoppery.
I'm not seeing this, and I even tried adjusting the brightness of my monitor. Anyone else see this?

I'll post a screenshot of my desktop for you for both resolutions, you'll see what I mean. Perhaps it's because I'm using a mac, though I don't know why that would make a difference?

This thread is awesome! That's for these awesome wallpapers. I've saved almost all of them and have Windows 7 auto-cycling the folder every 10 minutes. Looks awesome!
