This isn't a funny quote or anything, but it is a classic and it is fairly long:
Guybrush: "Ah, This is the sweet pirate life! Out in the deep blue with your best ship and crew searching for the world's rarest treasures... which just happens to be a giant voodoo sucking sea sponge in this case. Makes you wonder why anyone would consider any other life!"
Guybrush: "Who would be stupid enough to lose two wedding rings?"
Parrot: *squawk* "It's me, Guybrush Threepwood - Mighty Pirate!"
Guybrush: "Shut up, you!"
Guybrush: "Well, you two don't smell so...actually, this is quite embarrassing: you two smell amazing!"
Guybrush: "Look! A distraction!"
Pirates: "What's it distracting?" *look*
Guybrush: "How appropriate - you fight like a c-OOOOOWWWW! I was using that!"
Winslow: "Hug her like she's your second wife!"
Guybrush: "I don't think Elaine's into that."
Winslow: "You don't know until you ask."
Guybrush: "Thank you, Mr Winslow!"
Which is rather strange, since the correct way to transliterate it would be "Net".
Well, not exactly... transliteration usually is not based on how the word is written, but how it is pronounced, phonetcially. Though this word would look like "Net" when transcribed, the "e" English sound is different from Russian "e", therefore English "ye" is a more correct way to transliterate that letter.
Great quotes you got here! I LOVED every bit of dialogue with LeChuck and with Elaine.
Here's one of my favorites no one mentioned so far... Don't know if I got that one right word by word, but it went something like this:
Guybrush: "Hey, guess what! I found one of the..." (trying to tell her about the summoning artifacts)
Elaine: "SHHH! Guybrush! If that's what I think it is, better keep it to yourself, or McGillicutty will kill you right where you stand!"
Guybrush: "What if I sit down?"
Elaine: "Great idea! That way your BRAIN will be protected!"
Guybrush: "Oo, good one."
And of course: "...Laineypoo."
And I personally think Elaine using the "Pretty please"-sweet voice-eyelashes trick is some kind of "beating Guybrush at his own game". Which is pretty clever.
