  • What in the world? Wouldn't one hour be like half the episode?
Or, with Telltale's recent releases, 75%-90% of the episode?

  • Batman in season 1 was landing full blown unblocked shots on characters like Catwomen, Vale and he was somehow unable to ko them, they just easily brush it off.

Season 2 unfortunately Batman is still very weak, he cleanly lands on Riddler throughout his fight, hitting him many times, Riddler not blocking. Then Riddler just up and leaves showing no signs of damage at all.

It's a shame they don't have Batmans strength as true to the comics as it was, where characters like Penguin, Riddler and (im guessing Joker when you actually fight him) couldn't do super high jumping strikes or take Batman on in a fist fight. They had to actually be smart about him. Made them more interesting villains.

Kinda lame to see Riddler taking on Batman in a fist fight.

  • Oh ok thanks!

  • And yet another boring, uncreative main menu....
I know it's a minor detail but just look how awesome Wolf's, Season 2's and Game of Thrones menus were!

With Overwatch taking forever to announce the Summer Games and no other game I care for having any updates this week, resisting watching it is going to be tough.

    I CAN DO IT

    Edit: Okay I failed.

Very interesting. The first hour huh...I don't think they'd allow so much if the episode was under 90 minutes, so I think we can expect a longer-ish premiere similar to story mode season 2.

I only watched the first 5 mins haha

It seems that the only way to hear Bruce talk about an object is to back out of a previous object then click on the object you want hear about. For example; to hear about Two-face's display, you would have to back out of Catwoman's display then click on Two-face's., which is fine but once you're in an display view you're able to just click left or right to move on to the next display, but Bruce won't say anything, at least it was that way in the video I saw. This could be a small bug.

    Could be a bug

Those feds really are starting to piss me off already.

    Although that Avesta....Pretty, real pretty.

Here you can see the episodes icons...

Catwoman confirmed for episode 3. Quite late in the day to feature her in season two, maybe she will have much less screentime than in season 1.
The ep2 icons seems to confirm Black Mask and Bane, along with what looks like Avesta, maybe she is working with the Joker. His Harleen Quinzel of sort I guess.

That would explain how the hell he knows so much.

  • Thoughts:

    • Looking through the episodes, it looks like we'll have three major villains appearing by episode 2. Looks like Bane, Riddler, and Hugo Strange(?) or the Electrocutioner. Sort of like the Penguin/Two-Face/Lady Arkham trinity in season 1.

    • Episode 3 looks like it'll have Catwoman play a major role, so either she'll be the focus of the episode or she'll pop up in a cliffhanger at the end of episode 2. Very classy pose for Selina there.

    • Episode 4 looks Joker based.

    • Episode 5 is obviously the Batman/Riddler showdown.

    • Bruce is getting his James Bond on with all those gadgets in his suit and mingling at a casino. Even the Batsuit is much more teched out now.

    • That sounds like Keone Young as Mori. And that's definitely Robert Atkin Downes as The Riddler.

    • I wonder what happens after you lie to the woman about bringing her back to his home? Does she just end up waiting for a car that's never showing up or do we see Bruce actually pick her up?

    • Poor Riddler. I know he's never really been Batman's physical equal, but Bruce really beat the tar out of him here fairly easily here.

    • Riddler makes it sound like he was Gotham's protector before Batman was, though it was probably his own brand of "justice" that he was dishing out that made society view him as a villain.

    • I like all the different options they give you for takedowns here.

    • Why do I get the feeling we're going to wind up in a Riddler deathtrap like Mori did and have to answer the riddlers correctly? I'm surprised they didn't give you the option of busting in there and answering for Mori.

    • I'm glad Amanda Waller look like Amanda Waller. I was worried we'd be getting a New 52 Waller situation.

  • I'm really impressed with the leap in graphical fidelity. Hats off to the artists!

  • Watched it again. Really don't like that batman treats Riddler like a punching bag for like a solid minute and all Riddler gets is bloody nose...

  • So is there anyone who shows the other episode slides?

  • edited August 2017

The ep2 icon definitely hints at a female villain with some sort of staff. What do you make of it ?

Edit : I stand by my previous comment. It's Avesta, and you are correct about Hugo Strange and Bane.

  • Why Bane and Hugo? Also you didn't mention Joker, for the woman she just waits out there for a car that's not coming. it said 'Lie' for a reason.

    Thoughts:

    • Riddler seems good and his weapon is dope as it should be.

-The Feds thing seems interesting. Waller seems like a good person though Avasta and Blake are pieces of trash and I hoped for an option to punch them as Bruce.

    • Graphics are better than I thought they would be. Alfred's eye patch is a nice detail and so is the feed. The feed includes Harvey's trial and Oz in blackgate. In the codex, Montoya is mentioned. There's a display for Harvey,Oz,Catwoman and Lady Arkham. I hope they can come back.

    • Obviously old choices were only mentioned in dialogue which was nice to see I guess though they didn't affect anything major.

    • I didn't buy S1 though this one seems interesting.

-Alfred apperantly has a problem as he was shaking or his hand was. Weird.

    -

  • I see though they might not appear. In Season 2 of TWDG, in ep 4, silhouttes of charaters was in the icon though no one old or from the DLC came to be.

Look at the episodes icon in one of the video I've posted. Does not leave much for the imagination.

  • Wh...What ? That makes zero sense.
Why on earth would those characters be featured in such fashion if they were never intended to appear ?

The ep2 description and the title most definitely seals the deal : we are going to be forced to collaborate with Avesta because she cracked the egg.
Obviously tension will arise when Selina enters the picture, our new "allies" might not appreciate her contribution to this city.

Ep4 hints at a "major" revelation. I'm just going on a limb here and speculate that John Doe is related to us in some ways hence his stitch comment.

Always fun to speculate. Will be funny to look back when everything unfolds.

  • The older TES community in general is immensely grateful for his work, I'm really happy to see his name in a TellTale game - and in one of my favourite TellTale series no less!

  • Why? Well it's probably just a mashup of characters for the sake of an icon. It happened before even if it made 0 sense, Joker doesn't have a backstory so I doubt he'll be related to us lol. What did Avesta crack? To me she just seems someone who wants to pry into business or undercover criminal. I doubt Bane or Hugo Strange will appear when they haven't been mentioned at all. Most of the characters in s1 were revealed before released so I wouldn't expect 2 major characters to appear this season.

  • Joker came out almost out of nowhere in S01.

Speaking of Iman Avesta? Imma Investa In That Romance Happening, imma right? Lol I'm going to give in the option. But if it is Harley Quinn then that would be surprising, but it's Telltale they make a lot of surprises!

  • Fair enough but he only appeared for a bit. A solid maybe 10-15 mins of screen-time.

Joker came out almost out of nowhere in S01.

  • Not a fan of it either, but I'm writing it off as adrenaline rush and putting on my headcanon that he has a few broken ribs too. I mean, unless the guy is made of rubber.

  • A sledgehammer seems more like a Carpenter thing, but if it's this Avestra woman (who seems to be setup in a psychological role like Harley had before she met the Joker), it might not be a coincidence.
