Right, i emailed them- and got a reply after sending the Hardware fingerprint code. I got a Name, and an activation code.

Guess what? Didn't work. What's going on with that?

You do know where to enter the new information, I hope? Because it's not in the ordernumber / password fields when you click on "I've already purchased this" link.

Guys if I download the demo, can I then enter an activation key, when I get it, to unlock the full game without having to download again?

You could start "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", if you have time to kill ^^

Good Idea, the activation code is 42, but don't forget your towel when starting the game ;)

Seems I won´t be able to play today, anymore.

I'd love find out how many accounts were made today just to comment on this unfolding drama. I have to say I'm impressed with how admirably Telltale's support and networking are handling this snag. I'm still waiting, but at least I'm waiting for something.

What happened when you tried it?

Please make sure you are in the right spot (the "Activation Support" box) and that you entered your name and the key exactly as they appeared in the email.

Thanks everyone for being patient with us.

When I had a problem with Just Cause, Securom answered within 3 hours which is quick.

Hey, I didn't pay and I STALL can't play the game!

What's up with that? Gawsh...reminds me of the STEAM activiation error things. I HATE online activation SOOOOO much. ALWAYS SCREWS UP!

Hey guys, the problem with preorder activation has been identified and we're working on a fix. More here. Sorry for the horribleness :( ... :)
  • edited November 2006
I just resended the mail.. I forgot the name. Well, a response if something is missing would be nice.

So it seems they don't work it down by time sent (i sent my request at 20:48GMT+1), or it just takes longer for people in different timezones, because their mail programs complain about "mails from the future" :) Well guess i'll have to be patient ...
    .

    .
    being patient sucks :)

    It happens :P.

But then, this is what happens when you outsource your distribution. You should be running around the world in a courier van delivering the game personally to each customer.

Good idea! Got any jokes in store? I've just finished my bowl of potatochips and are now going to get something to drink. Need some jokes to go with that drink :)

Hopefully I'll be getting an activiationcode soon cause I have to go to bed soon... another day at work tomorrow.

I just want to say, good job Telltale games!
You screwed things a lil bit up, and then you fixed it =) Hopefully everyone that pre-ordered the game will be playing it soon. And I'm sure most of this will be forgotten as soon as people got their games activated and running ^^
The second I started the game I forgot that I have been waiting all day for it to happen =p

So Emily, Jake, and the rest of the Telltale Game crew, thanks a bunch!
    You made this possible ^^

You guys have a service agreement with your vendor to guarantee that they don't suck?

Yeah, for those waiting for your e-mail reply from activation support, be sure to check your junk mail folders. Mine wound up in there, too. After retrieval and swatting my spam filter on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper, Sam & Max is all activated and good to go!
  • edited November 2006
YEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!! Got the activationcode :) Now I get about 10 minutes of gametime before sleepingtime :)
