Alright, I've had enough the speculation.

    The truth is:
    I'm the pirate god.
    . There. YOU HAPPY NOW???

The answer to who the Pirate God is can't really be LeChuck. It's so blindingly obvious that it wouldn't be funny, OR Monkey-Island-esque.
The God-like powers would be transferred in a beam or something of the sort, then Winslow or someone will unwittingly stand in front of it.
    It's got to be obscure.

Wasn't it also blindingly obvious that the mysterious woman who threatened Guybrush with her sword at the end of EP1 had to be Morgan LeFlay? And look where all the speculation went...!

Anyone else wondering if they'll do a Doctor Who and have another Guybrush cloned from his severed hand?

About that hand...at first it worked AGAINST Guybrush, slapping him and trying to stop him from doing things. I assumed that this was because it was possessed with LeChuck's will or something.
With DeSinge menacing Guybrush, the hand suddenly works FOR Guybrush (okay, it failed to open the clamshell locks, but still.)

So WHO controls Lefty? Is Lefty to become the pirate god??

Think LeChucks original mission involving all the monkeys will come into play (probably some ritual to attract the pirate god?)

Ive got a strange feeling that the ending of the 4th Episode with elaine and lechuck squaring off will start the 5th episode, and there will be a huge twist, with Elaine dropping her sword, lechuck dropping his and the two of them embrace!!!

You then will play the dead threepwood who will meet up with morgan in heaven/hell, more co-operation between the two (the voodoo lady appears somehow!!) as well as the REAL MURRAY!!!!!

Threepwood will play out this level trying to get back to his original form, and will think he has been successful (as will the player), but the cutscene shows that Van Winslow found Guybrush and by using the live hand and desinge's equipment he managed to bring Guybrush back to life! (Van Winslow has also picked up Morgans body).

Then Guybrush goes on the hunt for LeChuck thinking he took Elaine.....the ending will involve the truth coming out that Elaine is the mastermind, and then some huge ending twist.

I also think we haven't seen the last of Murray. His longed for reappearance seemed a little short for my taste. His presence might ensure that there will be a few laughs in the final chapter to "loosen up" the rather dark atmosphere.

There were a couple of moments in which I thought of Elaine being the mastermind as well. Especially when LeChuck reveals the "truth" about the Voodoo lady being behind all the bad things he did. He finishes his speech with "It's all because of her" but that could also be referred to Elaine as he was talking about his obsession with her just before. Anyone else noticed that?

I'm still hoping it's been a typo all this time and it's actually 'Rise of the Pyrite God'.

    REAL MURRAY!!!!!

He's already with the Pirate God (using his Treasure Crab avatar).
