    Epic Monkey Island.

That's what this game should have been called.

    Epic Trailer.

That's what this trailer should have been called.

Sweet! The problem with watching this awesomeness is that it makes me wish the days away leading up to chapter 5's release day. XD

I agree with that actually. They did show the scene where Elaine and LeChuck go into the swordfight at the end of chapter 4, but I think it would have made the trailer just that little bit better if they'd shown the moment LeChuck actually stabs Guybrush.

Still, a very good trailer. Nicely edited and very exciting, methinks! (oh hey, my computer recognizes that word too!)

I think they were trying to make it a little less spoiler-y, so you might know that he dies (or "dies") but not know the circumstances surrounding it.

This is unrelated, but it kinda annoys me how LeChuck has two seperate actors for his two forms. It sounded really unusual and weird
when he got his pox again and talked, I was really used to that awesome voice he had when he was human
. He could have one actor doing the both voices I mean, and that would sound more consistent.

If Earl Boen did his normal voice too, it'd sound too much like Fester Shinetop. Of course, LeChuck was Fester Shinetop, but still.

Maybe it's just me. As one stated in another thread, Zombie LeChuck sounds some kinda like... Robotnik.

Hahahahaha! Though I love the old cartoon Sonic series, so that isn't a con for me. :D

Isn't there a shot with Elaine crouching over the dying Guybrush? That would've worked as well, without the spoiler effect you're concerned about.

Also, has anyone recently tried re-downloading the 1st chapter? I'm just curious if they've put up a new version that has Earl doing all the voice work for Ghost-Zombie-Demon (whatever) LeChuck. I could D-load the thing myself, but I'd rather not.

I'm happy with his human voice actually, the thing is...

Well. I guess I'll shut up. The last thing I'd want to do is to piss everyone off by strictly criticise (like saying "this sucks balls", that kind of a intellective manner of criticism I'm talking about) a voice actor that everyone loves.

Robotnik's voice on SatAM was undeniably AWESOME, and actually I'd like to hear that pleasure-y voice from Zombie LeChuck. I was talking about his voice in games after Sonic Adventure, and also Sonic X. It's like, "Mwhaha, I'm a bad guy, and I'm also a clown!".

Just redownloaded, no Earl... yet. It'd make an excellent xmas present though.

well i think its the best thing we can have: a great voice for the Human leChuck and a even greater Voice for the Poxed one, his original Voice what we hat in ch1 wasnt bad but it was to pitcht if you ask me...
i cant wait til they updated ch1 with his new voice too(and as the trailer shows the will update it, or at least they recorted his lines)

It would have been nice if they re-did the scenes to hide the hook hand spoiler.

For the teaser trailer for Siege of Spinner Cay, they had the poxed hand and when Elaine says "what happened to your hand?!" you thought she meant the poxed hand. But in the game when you saw the hook it was such a satisfying shock!

I like Earl, but I think I'm one of the only people who was fine with the "Har HAR HAR." version of LeChuck.

I was fine with him too, but Earl Boen is the greatest.

I do like earl too, but I feel like he is lacking the punch of the old days. maybe if he could do a more powerful voice like in CoMI?

I was waiting for this post. It was inevitable. Now watch it evolve into the next great forum argument. The Earl debate.

He's older, for one thing. Even Guybrush's voice has changed. It was a lot quieter.

For another, you've heard him say, exactly, 3 lines, and this is assuming you've seen the "Story So Far" trailer. He could probably still pull off the voice, and even if he didn't, it'd still rock.

I don't know how Telltale handles all this complaining :/

They handle it laying in a bed of the money we paid for the game.

About Earl Boen voice. When I first heard Guybrush's voice in the first ToMI video, I didn't believe it was Dominic Armato. It seemed so much unlike him, to me. But after playing the game... well, Dom rocks, you all know that :) I'm sure everything will be great.

I kinda agree. The lines from the opening scene were almost spoken in a friendly tone. Maybe Earl had a bad day. It's still good to have him back. Har. :)

    Earl Boen! <3
    Sorry.
Okay, back on topic. I like this trailer, but now I kinda wish I hadn't watched it, because I want the game out sooner. D8

It just sounded to me like it had better audio compression than CoMI, 10+ years ago.

Speaking of multiple LeChuck voices, Kevin Blackton should totally have a voice cameo if they make a MI2 Special Edition. In a certain scene...

I don't know... I can't really imagine Chuckie as having that deep of a voice.

Just watched the trailer again since it was added it to the blog and I'm glad I did because I'd forgotten just how epic this game has been so far. If you rolled all the episodes/chapters into one seamless game (Rise and Execution of the Screaming Leviathan?), I believe it would put a lot of other long adventure games to shame.

I especially love the clip of the ship being swallowed by the giant manatee. Awesome.

Regarding Earl Boen, from what we've heard so far, he was his awesome self at the end of Chapter 4, as for the Episode 1 re-recordings, well, this would be a more difficult task as he'd have to match the original guys timing and style so it'd create a lot less work on the syncing side, so I wouldn't expect an awesome performance in the Episode 1 re-dub but just good enough to have Earl Boen back in tha scene.

However, for Episode 5 I'm expecting a lot of LeChuck yelling and screams. :)
