I would have never expected that hearing Guybrush still trying his best to crack jokes while getting the wind (and life) repeatedly kicked out of him would be the best thing ever, but it definitely was. Thanks, Dom!
Let's just say I hope the MI franchise keeps you employed for a while
I bet you wound't mind doing MI2:SE and another Telltale installment. Hopefully you will get the chance.
Don't be a stranger, sir. Just because your time in the sound booth is over doesn't mean it is here in the forums too. Drop by once and then, won't you?
anyway, THANK YOU DOM for being one of us! I was over the moon when I heard they were making TOMI, but the three things they needed to assure me it wouldn't suck were Guybrush, LeChuck, and Dominic Armato. And I'm sure you wouldn't have it otherwise either.
I am late I know.
Also have not made many posts on this forum, but I have to say. Thank you Dom.
Monkey Island is what got me into gaming and how good adventure games are, being at uni people just stare at me and think I am weird as everyone plays CSS, completely missing the joy, love and thought that goes into these games, but without you, LucasArts, and your voice I would be completely different.
Telltale games has done a fantastic job rekindling Monkey Island love, and when I heard they got you back on board I was looking forward to this game like a child wakes up Christmas morning.
Now they have made me and probably many more followers of their company and look forward to see what games they release in the future.
Farewell for now Dom, Telltale and I anxiously await for season 2.
Well thank you Dominic for taking the time and effort to bring Guybrush's voice to life. It's an enjoyable experience to play a MI games with your voice. Good luck in the future and hope to hear about you in the next Monkey Island game!
Sorry I'm late. I avoided these forums like the plague because I didn't want any spoilers with Chapter 5. Anyway,
I really appreciate everything you've brought to the Monkey Island franchise (and believe me, your voice did bring a LOT). It was great meeting you at PAX this year. It was one of the highlights of my trip to Seattle. Sorry that you didn't get to see Freezepop.
Really though, you've done a great job with a great character. There are always certain people that make things stand out. As the saying goes, the whole is more than the sum of its parts, and Guybrush was a very important part to get right. I don't think Monkey Island would have been as fun without you.
I don't think I've ever seen a better relationship between game developers, voice actors, and fans than what I've seen here at TTG and I think these forums are a huge part of the connection.
Thank you Dominic! Glad to have you back and hope we'll get to see hear you again soon!
I just have to thank you so much for your dedication to Guybrush, without you it wouldn't be the same. Never really played the first 4 games, but I have to say, ToMI have gotten me so interested that I am going to buy them all now, I can't believe that I have missed out on something so great!
No one could have brought Guybrush to life the way you have, you bring him justice, and he does you. So thank you Dominic Armato!
And I just have to say, you did a fantastic job on all Episodes, but I really adore your work on the last bit of episode 4 and 5.
