I dunno. This could be like the buttons all over again. Did anyone actually buy those? Everyone posted over and over again about how cool they were, then they released them and no one seemed to care.

I would, but right now, I have no money and no job (not old enough to work yet). Also, I spent my very rarely recieved allowance on Christmas shopping and whatnot. But I'll definitely get some of those buttons (and hopefully the tarot cards) as soon as I get some income.

I more think like the cards would have more of a collectible value than the buttons would. It's just me though, I rarely use buttons on my pack or so.

oh yes, I want them so bad
  • edited December 2009
YES! I was planning on screenshotting the cards and printing them out, but this would be way better!
  • edited December 2009
If this doesn't pan out (-knocks on wood-), you could do better than screenshotting by using the card images posted here.

I'll be honest: They would be awesome to have, but shipping overseas is so expensive that I wouldn't buy them. Just like on all other things that I have signed so far :(
It would be cool if TT had a partner in europe so they wouldn't have to ship the stuff directly from their headquaters.

Huh? International shipping is like 10 bucks... that's not really expensive. Plus, you don't just buy the tarot cards... you buy the season disc, the soundtrack, the artbook and everything I wish would be released alongside with it. Then $10 feels like even less.

They wouldnt work (if you believe in that stuff) Tarot is based on the fixed symbols behind the pictures not the pictures themselves. The art is beautiful though I would certainly buy them.

    100% want them

I'd have a pack of those, if only I get that Trial of the Century-y-y-y-y-y t-shirt with Stan's head in the middle of the text, you know, what was on Chapter 4 too. :D

I once got a packet from Canada that cost like 50 dollars.

You can check the shipping price in the store... just put something in your cart and proceed through the ordering process (but stop before actually submitting the order ;) ). It'll show you the shipping costs.

Yes. They should also release the "Sixth Sense" card and make it holographic.
  • edited December 2009
I'f buy two packs, one to display with the buttons and one for safekeeping and collector's value.
    Here's hoping!

    We want voodoo cards. :D

    Hope they realy print them.

I was totally just about to start a thread like this! I would definitely buy them, but if they were included with the DVD version, I'd pee my pants on the spot. (Or a PDF version for personal printing would be just as good.)

I agree, I'd love to see voodoo lady tarrot cards. Though I think you'd need to write a whole new manual on how to use them ;)
  • edited December 2009
I'd want a full deck that it was possible to read with

Absolutely! Though I dont know how accurate it would be... I've only had major success with 1 deck, my others just dont really attune to me properly and dont come out as accurate...

I think a deck of the Voodoo Lady's tarot cards would be AWESOME. The art for them was FANTASTIC! WE MUST HAVE THEM!
  • edited December 2009
And maybe some that didn't appear? And the deck would have to have at least 5 'Death' cards in them. (From CoMI)

I add my name to whatever petition/begging/blackmail we have going on.

They're beautiful and I'd love to have a complete set. Even just the face cards (forgot the name in English), like, the 21 special ones (22 with the excuse). They'd be wonderful to play with, I love playing Tarot.
Of course if that could be a full set (Ace through 10 + Jack, Cavalier, Queen, King in each suite, + the 22 special ones) then that would be really, really, really awesome.
Probably kinda expensive though, especially compared to the 5-bucks-a-piece sets I already have for playing with, but it would be great even just as a collector item (although I'd rather play with them if I can get a few people to play with).

But they /could/ be used as tarot cards... Some are certainly the same (the lovers - death - the traveller).
Plus in every tarot game I had, the 21+1 special cards didn't have any theme, as in, they didn't respect the divination ones. As long as they're numbered, they're playable.

    Me wants it now!!

Just jumping in to say that I would definitely purchase them if they were available.

A damn long time ago, I said:

I'd love a full set, but only if it contained ALL 19 we've seen throughout the series. Those are, in order of episode:
    The Transformation
    Disease
    The Scientist
    The Victim
    The Lovers
    The Lothario
    The Shivers
    The Mouth
    The Curse
    The Journey
    The Fracture
    Nemesis
    Triumph
    Betrayal
    The 6th Sense
    Justice
    The Healer
    Treachery
    Death

Now I've got the cards in my hand... but I didn't get what I wanted, because "The Scientist" is missing from the pack.

The cards I bought were advertised in Telltale's online store as containing "all the cards" from the game. Obviously, this wasn't true.

What is Telltale doing about it?

The store description is getting changed, at least for the short term.
The card set description on the site is being updated to accurately describe the shipping product.

    WTF?!

I'd hoped that Telltale would fix their mistake and send me a brand-new "The Scientist" voodoo card. But as of this writing, nobody's promised to do this. Instead, so far all that's been done is to... change the text in the store describing the cards.

Telltale, I realize you may be still deciding what to do about the situation. But if you end things there, it's no more than a lazy and half-baked response, a flimsy retroactive cover-your-behind gesture. I'd hope that Telltale would be above such lame and hare-brained solutions to this sort of problem.

    Here's my plea.

Create and send out a replacement "The Scientist" voodoo card to all the people who ordered the MI tarot decks. I don't care how much it costs to print it and ship it securely to all those people. Just get me one of those suckers. If you can't ship them out solo without damaging them, then ship out whole new decks of tarot cards with the "Scientist" included. Just rectify this, somehow. You simply must, for the sake of your customers.

Or, go ahead and give me a direct, honest and open answer. Tell me that, no, you will not at any time be sending out a "The Scientist" voodoo card. Clear the air. (Do realize, though, that if you take this option, I have absolutely no incentive to buy your merchandise in the future.)

Oh, if you DO ship out "The Scientist" cards, could you include "The Sixth Sense" while you're at it? Pleeeeeease?
