...is that formatted in minutes:seconds? 45 minutes for Secret and 1 hour 3 minutes for LeChuck's Revenge? Am I reading that right? How in the world did you finish so fast without skipping cutscenes or dialogue?

I'm starting The Curse of Monkey Island now.
  • edited December 2009
I've finished Curse in 3 hours, 42 minutes.

Sorry to be posting this so late, but I will be starting Curse in an hour, at 6 PM GMT - Escape will follow right afterwards. Tomorrow, I'll begin playing Tales at 4 PM GMT.

Also apologies to apenpaap for not showing up again as I promised. I hope you had enough viewers anyway. I also will probably start playing Escape an hour after you, which sort of sucks. I don't think I can make it any other way, sorry. Hope I can watch you tomorrow.

I don't mind. Mandahaya kept around, so I still had someone to chat with. And I won't be able to even read people's comments while I'm playing Escape, so I don't mind there either.

I'll be starting Tales tomorrow at 18:00 GMT. It may be a bit later, though, depending on when I finish my dinner.

Is it possible to chat while you're playing Tales? What is it that makes the difference anyway?

The procaster program supports fullscreen streaming of directx-compatible games, which include SMI:SE and TMI, but not ScummVM or EMI. So my guess is that he probably won't be able to with Tales, unless he's using a second computer for chatting.

And on another note, I'm starting Curse right now!

I'm now starting Escape from Monkey Island.

BTW, could you add my time for Curse and the time I'm going to play Tales to the first post, Guru?
  • edited December 2009
Curse timed in at 3:48. I've come to realise how terrible I am at insult swordfighting. I suppose I should have developped a strategy, but I always wanted to get every single insult there is before encountering the "boss". :P

I'm going to need a break before I tackle Escape, which I hope is allowed. I'll start at 10:30 PM GMT. Hope y'all can come and say hallo.

Okay, I've got everything all updated. I think I'm going to re-play Curse later tonight to get a better time on it like I know I can. I sort of dawdled last time.

Starting Escape now, a bit late. Sorry, I badly needed a break. Monkeys everywhere... had to... escape...
  • edited December 2009
I have just finished the first two chapters of Escape in 3:20, and I really need a break before that horrible third chapter, so I'll be back in 15 minutes or something like that.
  • edited December 2009
At 0:24 on Curse, got the scissors.
  • edited December 2009
    I'm starting Escape's chapter 3 now.

...you sure you're not skipping cutscenes?

Who, me? No, honest, I just don't talk to people like mort or do anything that isn't necessary to advance further. I don't skip dialogue, either. For example, in Secret, I didn't talk to anybody in the scummbar, I just went straight into the kitchen. Or in Curse, when murray comes up at the swamp, I choose to end the conversation straight away.

Curse's run time is 3:43 and I'm still working on escape, because my power got knocked out once, stupid living in the country.

I do the same thing, but I still can't finish Curse in too much under four hours. I might try again tonight, but if I do I'll be playing until around 2:30 am.

Also, Iced, I'm still not sure I have your times for the first two games right.

Edit: Okay, I am trying again tonight. Going to start in four minutes.
