Awesome! Finally got to pre-order this! How's it going guys?
  • edited April 2010
Quite eager to play the game :D

    BTW, I just remembered something...
The guy on the trailer is quite similar to a famous humorist from here, Spain: the big... Chiquito de la Calzada!!!!
I better put a video of that guy...

At least watch the first minute of the video :p

YEAH! The Mickster is in! And much like GinnyN this is also the first time I've ever preordered something.
  • edited April 2010
This was my second pre-order. First time I pre-ordered though was Tales of Monkey Island, so my first pre-order still went to Telltale. :)
  • edited April 2010
Honestly, I've lost count of the number of pre-orders I've made over the years.

Sorry just felt like getting in on this.

So... am I reading this right? iPad owners will be able to play the first episode of the Devil's Playhouse before those of us who pre-ordered it?

I mean don't get me wrong its totally awesome that the game will be on the iPad. I was thinking about getting one and the idea that Telltale games are going to be ported to it tips it even further.

Its just they're going to get to play the game 12 days early. And if I remember right, its really only people who pre-ordered the iPad who are going to get to because last I heard, the stores aren't going to be getting enough to handle anything but the original pre-orders.

Its awesome that Telltale gets to say 'we have a premier release game on the iPad day one, but I'm still feeling kinda mixed about it, yeah?

Me too. But at least they don't get the preorder bonuses... but I hope no one of the guys who play it in advance comes and post a thread with an spoiler in the title and without an spoiler warning.

Whew! I had to sell my brother to the tin-pots-factory TWICE to get enough money, but finally I pre-ordered the game! Woohoo! Plus, my bro has learned the way home from outside of town :D It's a win-win situation.

EDIT: Wait a minute... where is the "Q&A with Majus and Suro" thread?

Amen to that. I would hate to have it ruined for me before I even have the chance to play it.

I've always gotten into this bad habit with Telltale games where I buy the first one then don't get the upgrade until like episode 3. This time I jumped the gun and actually preordered.

    I am crazy hyped.
  • edited April 2010
Might as well say hi here - preordered the day it was announced.

I'm not going to buy an iPad to get the game early tho - I already have four mobile (Linux) devices capable of running the bleeding game and I don't need another one :P

Totally skewed my dictionary definition of a 'preorder' :P

Consider some set P and a binary relation ≤ on P. Then ≤ is a preorder, or quasiorder, if it is reflexive and transitive, i.e., for all a, b and c in P, we have that:

    a ≤ a (reflexivity)
    if a ≤ b and b ≤ c then a ≤ c (transitivity)

I agree, now I'm thoroughly confused! What is this about a game??

Well, some of the posts were certainly 'reflexive'.

I pre-ordered a few days ago, so, hi everyone :)

Really looking forward to the new season of Sam & Max and it was great to get free shipping for my Tales of Monkey Island DVD.
  • edited April 2010
So... Anything exciting on the horizon before the 15th of April?
  • edited April 2010
Well I might finish little Sam but then. But don't hold your breath, I still haven't figured out how to do his ears.

Postponed. Just like the 3-D Tales of Monkey Island. ::p

There is one going on right now. If you have the DVD shipped out to you, you can get Season Two half off.

    Yeah nothing unusual here...

Can't wait to see what Max is going to utterly destroy do with his powers!

This season is gonna be great :D

And I just can't decide which game to buy with my coupon... Probably a W&C game, because if I get a ToMI episode, I'll end up buying them all, and that would be very counter-productive. You know, aside from Sam & Max.

Did anyone notice more newspaper clippings being used as a backdrop for the Sam & Max iPad info video?

Kind of wondering if those will come with the Case File this season, as I doubt we will get replicas of the psychic toys.

I noticed, because one of them was called "The New York Interloper". Jake says that there are a few in-game newspapers in Sam and Max's New York in the start of the game.

My guess is they'd have to replace the text if they were going to release them outside the company, because they fill the vast majority of the story with stock text from an old blog post.

I'm really looking forward to this game. I hope I don't fail my exams because of it though.

I just popped into the site today, and found that the third season was coming out, and this month no less.

Damnit, Telltale. I love you like my more talented and snarky extended family, but I only have so much money to give. Also, kudos for making your games Mac accessable, for the poor computer gaming schlubs like me.
  • edited April 2010
Something I was wondering: Will this forum section stay open until the release of the last episode (or even after), or will it be closed April 15th like with the ToMI preorder forum?
I think it could be interesting for us to be able to ask you guys questions during the season, but on the other hand I can imagine you being too busy to be able to visit the forum.

If the game was to be released at midnight on the 15th of April, depending on where you are it will be a different time.
Use (URL Removed - See next post) as a guide to find out what time it will be in your city at 12am on the 15th of april in San Francisco, (Which is very close to where telltale office is).

I finished Sam, as posted on the Q&A with Purcell thread. Here are pictures of Sam & Max together
    sammaxdone.png
    sammaxdone02.png
    sammaxdone03.png

"Hey Sam, why am I taller that you?" "It's an illusion, little buddy".

I ended up downsizing on the details for Sam, otherwise I would have needed to start adding more details to Max. But I like the way it looks :)

Except that it won't be released at midnight... Most Telltale employees are probably at home in their warm beds at that time.

Generally the episodes are released some time between 9am and 5pm San Francisco time on the day of release. Please don't be impatient... I really get sick of reading those threads every month and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

    Yeah, I figured that.
When I thought about it I wasn't sure what to put but I was sure someone would correct me.

With the info I have now... I've made a new link which is at 4pm.

NOTE: USE THIS ONLY AS A GUIDE! As said in the pervious post there is no fixed time when the game will come out.

PS, those look really good avistew! I've been reading past posts and saw your progress. Your really good at Textiles.

    NIIICE.

Now you have to mass-produce them for all of us, we want 'em too. Of course we'll pay...

    Now work! ;).

Actually, what I'll do is I'll take full credit when they announce they're selling them, even though I'll have nothing to do with it. Does that sound good to you?
  • edited April 2010
    They look excellent Avistew.
You couldn't make me some could you? Just for me?
The other forum members don't need to know about it...

Those S&M plushes are amazing-now I want one (although they're probably exclusively sold through Bosco's Inconvinence) How much?
  • edited April 2010
Huh, how about that? There's a whole forum I can access now. That'll teach me to actually read my purchase confirmation mails from now on.

Now, what am I going to do with a coupon code for a free Telltale episode when I already own every single one, including Bone?

Guess I'll give it away to a friend.

To everyone asking for a plush:

    - they already have owners. I'm sorry.
    - I obviously can't legally sell them (and don't want to)
    - I didn't write down the pattern as I went. They're meant to be special and one-of-a-kind because they're for special and one-of-a-kind people, I can't recreate them (well I could try from the template I guess but they'd be different)

If I was to sell something, it would be more likely to be a pattern book so you can make your own. Less work on my part since I'd only have to create the patterns once :P
But that wouldn't be legal so I'm not even doing that.

Now that it's all clear, you can feel free to keep asking for them. I realise it means you like them :P As long as you're clear that you're not getting any mwahahaha.
