Anyone have any idea what time it'll be up on the TTG download page in GMT time? I have an economics mock exam at 10am so I'd like to have it installed by then if possible.

Not a hope. It won't be made available until all Telltale staff are in the office. That translates to anywhere between 4pm and midnight for us. Btw we're on BST now. ;)

    Ahh, wrong date.
    Thought it was tomorrow.
Which it is for us Australians.

Well, looks like it's going to be somewhere near midnight for me as well..

Thank goodness I have a day-off from school tomorrow, staying up and waiting shouldn't be a problem :D (and what's more rewarding than new S&M, after half-sleeping through two 90-minute math lessons in a row tonight? I'm willing to wait!)

That doesn't sound right. Isn't Finland GMT+1 like us Dutchies?
  • edited May 2010
No, it's in the next timezone over.
  • edited May 2010
Still, GMT+2 would be 10PM then.

I don't see how that's "near midnight", but maybe Trica thinks 2 hours is 'near'.
(All still assuming it releases the same time as 301)
  • edited May 2010
Can't they just set up an automatic release system and tell us the exact release time?
  • edited May 2010
Man, I have never been confused about the time that Telltale releases their games. I even have the second time on my watch and computer set as Pacific time, so what's the deal with people being so confuzzled about when the game's coming out? It'll be between 8am and 12 noon PST.
  • edited May 2010
Probably 8PM GMT, like 301 was... (that's around middle of the day in the USA).

So lets say i can get back to my laptop at around 3:30 Pacific time would it be up then?
  • edited May 2010
Just to confuse you all, the British Isles are using GMT+1 at the moment because of Daylight Saving Change for summer ;)

Well, 2 hours isn't that far from midnight now, is it? :D (and yes, when I said "somewhere near" I was thinking it would be roughly 10-11PM. )

But even if the episode came around 10PM in Finland's time, with our internet connection it would take almost an hour to download it. (+ disconnections, I had to re-download Penal Zone about 3 times because of the traffic)

So it still would be almost midnight when I get to play. :p
  • edited May 2010
Yeah, with 1.5 hour download time it would indeed go to "around midnight" :D

Sure... if they want to be unable to respond to last minute critical issues that need fixing/stuff going wrong.
    Seeing Jake's post... they wont.

You might want to consider a download manager then. It's an application that can resume downloads if your connection fails (if the site you download from supports it, which Telltale's site does if I recall correctly).
If you've got Firefox, a good download manager addon is DownThemAll, which is also useful to download multiple files at once from a site.
Another download manager I use sometimes is Free Download Manager, which, like the name says, is completely free, and pretty easy to use.

I hope that'll save you some time, bandwidth and stress :)

    I want it now, though!
    Gimme!

    Honestly can't wait...
  • edited May 2010
We have anywhere between two to three hours left...

...and then the servers will crash as we try to download all at the same time!:D
  • edited May 2010
If it's like 301... the site will go into maintenance mode in... 2 minutes or so...
  • edited May 2010
    Like...now?
  • edited May 2010
    Yeah.

That that hasn't happened is a sign we should now all flail about in blind panic...
  • edited May 2010
The last time was about 2:00pm here. Or maybe later. Now it's 13:10 pm.
  • edited May 2010
As for server load, you could just use torrents. If it's good enough for Blizzard...
  • edited May 2010
    man this is just..crazy
  • edited May 2010
Downloading it now. Half an hour to go...
  • edited May 2010
Woohoo! :D Just came back from school, this is awesome.

And thanks for the links, Didero! I'll try the Firefox add-on for starters, let's see how it will go :)
  • edited May 2010
Downloading now. Should be doing that project... but, you know.
  • edited May 2010
OK. Awesome. Now that I've finished the game...

Can we get the lowdown on the cut puzzle? Pretty pretty please? :D :)
  • edited May 2010
Downloaded, installed, now i just have to wait 10 days for my exams to be over and I can play.
  • edited May 2010
Ok, this forum is most likely dead now that ep. 2 has been released, but there's no real other place to put this.. so, I just would like to congratulate you, Telltale, on making maximus's psychic vision have ghostly hats and moustaches on everything :D

You have to say "Fourthed"! Or something like that!

    Okay.

In the final version of the game, Nefertiti's curse is the
    "Holstein Hex"
. In the original design, Her curse was
"Embarrassing Personal Problem." This would manifest differently based on certain conditions. For instance, you might come away with halitosis or flatulence...or you might be cursed with "Male Lactation Syndrome"
    .

You can guess the rest. I don't really blame Steve Purcell for nixing this.

We initially replaced the puzzle with a much more convoluted one involving spiked milk. Snowcone's reference to "jolly juice" in little arctic circle, and Spot the Snake's appearance on the train, are both vestigial remains of this other cut puzzle. It was nice, but it would have made the sequence a little unwieldy.

Eventually we hit upon the happy compromise of
turning Max temporarily into a cow
, and the rest is history.

Sounds funny to me. Then again, I am twisted.

My first thought when I needed to get milk was to milk the snake. Don't ask me why I thought that though,... 0_0

I actually thought that too, if by milk you mean get poison out of him. I figured you need to knock Kringle out for a while.
