    No, I meant milk.

Isn't snake milk a delicay somewhere? Or am I just going wacko?

IT is! That's why the first thing I tried was using the empty glass on Spot's cage when I was trying to milk for Kringle's Room Service Order.

Kind of was hoping for funny dialouge about anti-vemon or how neither one of them would know how to milk a snake properly, but no dice.

The latter ;) Only mammals produce milk. You were probably thinking of snake oil.

Wait... If snakes can't produce milk, then what the hell have I been drinking?

Oh, and thank you, Monsieur Hartzrell! I think it's for the better that things were changed around. The world isn't quite ready for lactating male lagomorphs, yet. Were the sequences animated at all, or was it cut before the puzzle was completed? It would be an interesting piece of content to appear on the bonus disk (at least a playthrough of the puzzle bits for those who can stomach it).

I smell an Easter Egg! :D

With my ignorance and level of public education, I could have been thinking "Milk Snake."

So that's why this useless snake was in there! I thought at first that I had to
put him in the sarcophagus to scare Jürgen into the next wagon, where vampire elf would be waiting for a kid.

I'm confused why anyone would think that non-mammals can produce milk. I also think the original puzzle made more sense, since although I guessed what we had to do right away, I didn't understand why
Max just happened to be turned into a cow who had just had a calf
. I guess it's a silly thing to wonder, I mean, why not? It's a spell, it can do whatever it wants.
Although I have to say I'm surprised it wasn't an original puzzle, what with that
weird fascination with cows there seems to be in the games
    .

My original thought with the snake was that I had to
do something to the snake to make Nefertiti angry enough to curse me. This was before I saw the love letter in Jurgen's room.

    I thought
you were supposed to take the love letter to her dad so he'd think she had a crush on you and curse you, so you could send Amelia to the vampire elf
    .
When that didn't work, I just disregarded that solution until I thought to just ask him. Duh.

    My first idea was
having to get the asp to spit some poison into the glass of milk to make sure Mr. Kringle is out cold
, but of course that didn't happen...

Just want to say that it was a fantastic mind bending episode and kudos to all involved in the creation of it. The quality of the episodes being delivered is getting better all the time and I cannot wait for the rest of the season.

Still haven't really played anything yet (hoping to go on a full-on marathon after I'm done with these final projects) but I can't help but look at spoilers...and
there's a vampire with the same name as me in the second episode?
Oh Telltale, you make your games so flatteringly tantalizing. (Then again, I don't like vampires....hm...)

Just so that this post is made less egotistical...uh...
    Max turns into a cow?
Oh Telltale, you make your games so intriguing.

There's one in Season 2 too.
    The same, actually.

Andy Hartzell, congratulations on episode 2 - I very much enjoyed it.

While you kick back and bask in the warm sticky glow of success, it would be lovely if you could tell us a little about how you went from writing comics to being a game designer. I guess both comics and games are about telling stories, so it isn't an enormous leap in terms of career moves, but it seems like an interesting one.

Were you a fan of adventure games before joining Telltale? Did you have any previous game-design experience? Is there anything you found particularly challenging about the change in medium? Is there much difference in the creative process (perhaps working by yourself vs working as part of a team, or integrating puzzles into the story)?

To all of you talking about "Snake Milk"- Snakes don't produce milk, you're thinking of milking a snake, which is a term used for acquiring it's poison.

Come on, man, have you lost sight of your inner child? What happened to your bright-eyed halcyon days of youth, when windmills were mighty dragons and reptiles could produce milk?

    Marsupials.

Of course, snakes aren't marsupials... Max might be one, according to one of the theories where he keeps his gun ;).

Marsupials are mammals; they're just not the same type of mammal as placental mammals.

Monotremes (echidnas and platypuses) also produce milk and are also considered mammals, even though they lack nipples and lay eggs.

Sort-of back on topic, shouldn't there be a Countdown to Episode 3 thread now? Ep2 was seriously wow and I'm still basking in the experience but I'm bored and want some info about the next episode.

    Who's writing it?
    Who's designing/directing it?
What style/s does it lean towards?
Which characters will we see? By the icon, I'm guessing Sal will be involved, possibly as main villain.

Any of the above and also Q&A would be nice :p please

It was an excellent episode, congratulations! (I've written a kind of review in the public forum, I wouldn't copy it here).

There's one question left unanswered, though: is the "cutting a cucumber lengthwise" joke based on something real, or is it purely Telltale's invention?
  • edited May 2010
Who cuts a cucumber lengthwise, anyways? It's crazy, no?
  • edited May 2010
Actually I don't know anyone who cuts cucumber lengthwise, it's stupid and you're more likely to cut your fingers.
  • edited May 2010
Not to mention you got way bigger pieces, less easy to eat...
  • edited May 2010
So you've never had cucumber and carrot sticks dipped in something? It's tasty.
Also, if you're going to cube it, it's more practical to do the lengthwise cutting before the widthwise one. Otherwise how do you hold all the slices together while you cut it lengthwise to cube them all?

    Sure.
My parents pretty much have a cut cucumber with sauce each dinner.

They are cut in small pieces though, not vertical long pieces. Seems a lot easier to me, just take a small piece, dip it in, eat. Repeat if desired...

But with small pieces don't you end up dipping your fingers in as well?

    No?
  • edited May 2010
    That's what makes it fun
  • edited May 2010
Well I like when it's sticks, it seems much easier to keep them all in a glass or something, grab one and munch on it.

I just finished The Tomb of Sammunmak a minute ago, now I have owned 301 and 302, time to wait or 303! Gruesome ending, XD!

I think it is a little early for that. 302 just came out!

Edit: Of course, I did already finish it.

I also kinda expected at least a witty remark about trying to milk the snake.
  • edited May 2010
I expected for Max to say something after you get the milk from where your supposed to.

Only devs can make threads here.

And yes, the snake and milking max could have made great lines, but there aren't :(.
