I'm not quite sure where in the world this episode is going with its storytelling, but it sounds absolutely brilliant based on the little we know.
A quick question:
You said there wasn't a prominent use of future vision in this episode, but what about a "past vision" type toy? Something that lets you play as these potential past versions of Sam & Max and whatnot. Or is this too sane enough to fit the crazy "left-field" play style you've mentioned?
It seems this episode will feature mostly all new locations, can we still move around Straight and Narrow or are we going to have an intirely different setting?
Will there be any death traps to avoid? Like the classical gigantic stone? Hopefully you guys are more original than that. You gotta stick Max's face on the rock somehow.
Edit: Wait, now I just realized the impact of that suggestion. A couple million Newton impact.

The S.I. unit for impulse is N.s (Newton-seconds).
Impulse (I/N.s) = Force of incoming object (F/N) x Time incoming and target object touch (t/s)
So if an object suddenly fell, the force would be the weight, which is the product of mass in kg and acceleration due to gravity (9.81 m.s-2).

Yeah. But, considering we're talking about a rock with the face of a psychopatic physic lagomorph, probably the acceleration will be more and the weight too, just for comic relief.
O.K. - I think i give up...go in my room and hang myself. Clearly there is only teasing and still no - not even a sight of a - release date. So live long all you Sam and Max fans, I can't bear it any longer.....

*just kidding* but still impatient!
I'm doing something even worst because I'm waiting. I'm doing... HOMEWORK! T_T
I hope they announce a release date soon. If they carry on this way, they should drop the 'monthly' out of the terminology they give us and replace it with something more fitting.
Ok I'm going too far here. To my knowledge, the only time they have not succeeded in bringing the forthcoming episode during the month following the last episode is for TMI's final episode. Their track record suggests they'll pull something out of the bag soon.
And before you ask, I do sometimes enjoy the programme.
I don't agree.
The humour may sometimes be a bit predictable, but the acting, particularly by John Lithgow, more than makes up for it.
Friends can't even come close to the uniqueness of Third Rock from the Sun.
Now I'm really curious to see how PSN times this release, they've been all over the place this month. Last week was on Tuesday though, so maybe it is on time.
Normally I'd be saying "hear! hear!" but in this case, if it's as good as they've made it sound, I can just about wait another 3.5 days without further teasers. They need to make sure it's 100% playable more than get a trailer put together.

Past-life regression toy sounds like it would be fun
Almost, Day of the Tentacle style.
Did you have to mention such an awesome game? :P Now I'm going to have to play it as soon as I've finished my re-run of TMI.
Innnnnnteresssstinggggggg...
Also, will the map return?

Deathtraps aplenty, though.
Pheww! That's a relief!
That's what Puzzle Agent is for
That's what my locker bay is for.
First of all we need to find out the units, then the conversion constants! Oh joy...
Predictable, feeble Friends-type humour.

Now I'll have to avoid the forums beforehand... :S
Ah well, finally we have a date!
Good thing I am an euro PC player, wouldn't want to be a Euro PSN player next week...
Yeah, those people being deaf, blind or paralyzed shouldn't be complaining.
You've got it tough...

I agree! Otherwise I won't be able to make a soundtrack for the Tomb of Sammun Mak as nicely as I did for the Penal Zone!
Can't ye' wait till the Season has ended and the Soundtrack has been released?
Because he's impatient and wants some fun. I can't say I blame him.
No! I want that awesome music on my iPod RIGHT NOW!
I'm still totally going to buy the Soundtrack when it's out, but I want it now!
