Must be some idea if 9 months isn't plenty of time.
It probably involves dressing up an infant.
    :D

I just realised that it's been far too long since I visited this thread. In fact, it's been almost a week since I last posted on this forum at all! So, thats what's on my mind!

I'm replaying SBCG4AP, to see if it's as good as I remember it.

As a Portlander, I can't help but laugh so much at this.

I know adults crazy enough to try to get a marble out of a ramune bottle and clever enough to do it without causing much damage to the bottle. Hooray for family! Now I have a glass marble.

Listening to: Bhool Ja by Shaan and remembering how I fell in love with his voice. <3

Portland sounds pretty cool. My flannel shirts get too much flack round this way

You are still working on that?
Sheesh you were attempting this during the tf2 event.

Re-reading this just puts a huge smile on my face.

I wonder if they're gonna pick up the pace getting the Layton games over here now that the DS is in its final days.
  • edited January 2011
Well, technically, there's no reason that original DS games can't continue to come out after the launch of the 3DS. Look how long the GBA held on alongside the DS. Hell, the PS2 is still being sold four years after the PS3 launch.

Dude, that was done right before that actually started.

Layton 5 being a launch game for the 3DS is a good one if you ask me. No way it's making it in time for launch here but still.

It could also end up being an Ace Attorney scenario, where the Phoenix Wright games actually had to be ported to the next generation system because the localization was so far behind.
  • edited January 2011
I dont care what launch titles it has, I JUST WANT A 3DS!

Actually I do care. I hope Mario kart is one of them. That was the one game I was going to get first.
    If not paper mario.

Neither of them has any chance at all of being one.

Nope, Maybe for the US (MAYBE), no ****ing way.
  • edited January 2011
Well I live in the US so...

    Uhh crap.

I guess the camera, miis, and augmented reality will be good.

And maybe nintendo will do what they did with the dsi where those who use the store within a certain date get 1,000 points so I can use virtual console.

    I pre-ordered a 3DS today actually. Kinda-ish excited

This video on the history of the Mother series makes me want to specifically kill SunnyGuy. Itoi had better make a Mother game for the 3DS or coolsome is DEAD TO ME.
  • edited January 2011
Wha-but I love the Mother series (though I've yet to finish EB and even play 1) D:

I do really really really really really want a collection though.
  • edited January 2011
I should get around to trying Earthbound again. I wasn't really able to get into it the first time I tried it out.
  • edited January 2011
While you're at it also make sure you play Mother 3.

Don't make it come! come on Itoi dont make one for the 3Ds.

I just bought the supplies I need to sew a Darla Gugenheek cosplay... You guys can laugh now. I'm totally going to be wearing it to PAX. Hopefully, I can bring my Max plush with me... but seeing how he's about 3 feet tall, I'm not sure he's going to fit in my luggage for the plane.

Yes, Itoi. Don't make one for the 3DS. Remake them all for the 3DS, then make a new one. Brilliant idea, coolsome. You are a genius.

Oh, also, to anyone who doesn't want to play Mother, a.k.a. Earthbound Zero, or any other Mother game, watch this and tell me that isn't one of the most epic game commercials you've ever seen.

And just because I know this will happen anyway-

That commercial was high octane nightmare fuel.
  • edited January 2011
So is the Mother series. That commercial both guarantees its game to be a masterpiece and assumes you'll be crying by the ending. Those are some badass claims to make, especially since it's true.
  • edited January 2011
Giygas still scares the crap outta me... and I haven't played any of them games...

Itoi's not making any more Mother games.

Itoi: ...games demand many more lines of dialogue despite the fact that the main characters don’t talk, so I couldn’t keep making them. That’s why I felt deep down after making three of them (Earthbound titles), “Well, that was a neat experience.”

Shiraiwa: So you’re done with them?

    Itoi: Yes, that’s right.

I am a huge fan of the series and still I think this was a right decision to take.

Yearning for something new? Drunken stupor?
I'm totally going to be wearing it to PAX.

How many folks are coming to PAX this year?

I know, but he said he was done with them before Mother 3 for the GBA was made too, didn't he? I know, I know, I'm just wishfully thinking.

Even breaks don't seem to be doing much good.
Sucks that exams are next week! XP

EDIT: Also, I'm so hungry right now that I am literally eating my socks!! XD

I do hope the Sunday roast is finished soon.

Did anyone else notice that Miss Prettywhiskers appeared in two Telltale games? She is Herman McGee's cat and Edna Strickland's cat. She might become the next 'Chuck the Plant'!

Parents got me an iPhone 4, Speakers didn't work. Exchanged it within an hour with one that is fully functional. So I have a new phone.

I tried to start Metal Gear Solid 4. Then I realized MGS3 was coming out for the 3DS and I should probably play them in order (well, at least 3 and 4 in order).

Should've just waited until June for the iPhone 5. But it's still a great phone so enjoy it. :p
