The night before last, I got to bed sort of late, and I had to wake up by 11 am. Around 9 am this morning, I was in bed trying and trying to fall asleep. At some point after that, I managed it, and I didn't wake up at all until my dad came down here at 4 pm. Now it's just past 5 am, I've been awake for 13 hours, and I don't feel nearly tired enough to sleep. I think the only term that can properly describe my sleep schedule at this point is "utterly fucked".
Join the club, man. Maybe we should pull an XKCD and switch to a 28-hour day?
I ended up playing 302, because it's the only Sam and Max title other than the 100's (I don't own a PC, I had to borrow friends' to play) that I never replayed. I tried playing 104 on the dorm computer, but I didn't have authorization to either download it or install it off my bonus disc. Laaaame.
Anyway, someone in my dorm found out, and they offered to do a chanting session in his honor tonight. I'm not religious in any sense of the word, but I'm at a Buddhist uni, so I thought it might just take my mind off things. It did help, a lot actually, but now my throat is sore from chanting the lotus sutra. But I do feel a lot better.
And, actually, due to the "end" end of 305, it isn't such a bad option. I'm avoiding 205 like the plague though. Haahaa.
Also, I just went from 7 AM to 3 PM with no food and back to back classes. All I can say is thank god I've got my IRL D&D game today, I need the breather.
Okay, so I just got this great idea for some promotional plan for my novel.
Basically it's like this. I release my entire novel on the internet... for free. Of course, not all at once in full, but rather, each chapter separate. Perhaps to increase the inconvenience, each sub-chapter gets its own PDF file. So basically my readers get to read my novel in advance, and if they're interested they can buy the full novel, with perhaps as an extra some artwork at the end or something.
The only downside to that is that I would need to translate the novel myself, seeing as I currently am solely writing the novel in Dutch.
But, from what I can understand, this type of self-promotion pretty much works. It's better than to wait until the novel gets released, and then hope it sells.

That's actually what I'm doing! Well, kind of. I'm working on the second book to do that with, and haven't released anything yet. The difference is that mine is going to be more like a webcomic, in that I'm also writing it as I go. I don't finish writing it, then post it little by little.
I would suggest that you release the chapters on the website directly, plus as files, in which case it would be a nice touch to offer a version for reading on a computer and a version for reading on a e-book reader.
I would also suggest having only the latest chapter as its own file, and all previous ones as a single file, so that people joining in don't have to download a bunch of files, just one to catch up and then one every time you release a new chapter.
Of course I'm only suggesting that because that's the way I've decided to do it >.> Then at the end the whole ebook is available for free (or you can decide to pay for it and set your own price) and if I have any sales of that (or a fanbase by then) I'll start preorder of a printed version and use the pre-order money to pay for printing.
Anyway, my suggestion boils down to trying to do it the way webcomics do. Don't hope for a huge amount of money, release most things for free, get ready to have merch. Oh, and I would suggest finding a way to illustrate the website so it's more appealing, or people will just go away.
When I researched it a few years back, I saw that there was a guy who released his book online as an ebook, with two identical versions, one free and one that was a few bucks. They got the same amount of downloads, so I think people aren't just going to freeload. I assume if they grab it for free, like it and can afford it, they might just go back and pay for it.
Either way, if you can do that consistently, you should get a fanbase. Good luck!
I think I'll see how things work out, seeing as I'm still stuck rewriting the second chapter. I also need to commission my brother to design the website for me, and provide artwork to illustrate the main characters a bit.
Actually, make it, "still need to ask", seeing as I already asked him to design the site and make the illustrations, mainly the front cover. It's one of the most brilliant ideas I had for a front cover, that I actually want the illustration on my tomb stone.
But then they became comedy relief and, well, 'Character Development Marches on' to quote TV Tropes
Then they became chimps, then human comedy relief again, and finally bartenders in a space colony or something that barely appeared at all. Did they ever give a reason for why they turned them into chimps?
It's not like they didn't have the actors available, since they were voicing the chimps, so who knows. I know Skull was written out of Lost Galaxy because Jason Narvy wanted to go to college, and I can only assume that Bulk and the professor weren't written in very much because the duo didn't work without Skull. That did make it pretty satisfying to see Bulk and Skull together again in Forever Red, though.
I'm a little concerned. For the last 16 hours or so, I've been getting this sharp pain in my head every so often. It feels like it's behind my left eye and all through the left side of my head to the back, and my left cheek will feel warm when it happens. It'll come on suddenly, last a few seconds, and go away. I have absolutely no idea what it is and I'm a little worried.

Sounds a bit like a migraine. Try not staring at screens, and if it's a migraine there isn't much else to do apart from hoping it will go away. If that's what it is, vision problems and nausea are normal too.
If you're worried though, I suggest going to a doctor.
Whoo! To get my self doing something more than staring blankly at the computer, I decided to make some Irish stew. Problems? 1. SOMEBODY MADE RICE IN MY RICE COOKER, and left a full pot of it in there. Borrowed a friend's. 2. NO PEAS OR BUTTER. Grocery store trip!
Making a pot of stew is literally turning into an all day affair. Ah, well, now I'm busy... and will have delicious stew for like a week!
According to this page, my symptoms are more fitting of a cluster headache, except that it lasts a much shorter time and happens much more frequently. And what I'm doing or looking at hasn't seemed to affect it at all.

Hey, what do you know, I apparently get both migraines and cluster headaches. I thought they were all migraines, just with different sets of symptoms (since I never get all symptoms at once anyways).
Dogs keep jumping up on me. They are so annoying, and the puppy is retarded. He eats garbage, gets locked up, walks out of the cage and does it again right after!
I'm nice to my dogs though, the one is well behaved...but I had little to do with that. The other, no one here can discilpline it...
I'm looking for some free software that will record sound from my computer (similair to ones that record video and sound, like frapps). Does such a thing exist? Any suggestions?

Good.
305 would be a bad choice.

And, divisio, better late but my condolences.

This is all just ideas though, nothing solid.

I wish Moist Von Lip Wig was running the Post Office.
In what universe is "OH LOOK! A giant space dumpster. LET'S OPEN IT!" a good idea.
I wish Moist Von Lipwig was running the World Economy.
