If Dead Space 2 is a hint at the quality of games this year, I will be one happy man. DS2 is to 2011 as Mass Effect 2 was to 2010: early and awesome.

My TTG Packages DID that. Seriously.

When did they ship and when did you get them? I find it pretty weird that my packages are taking over a month considering I'm not THAT far from the US. I mean, I'm literally right below them >__>

One shipped December 26, and the other no idea, but I'm pretty sure it was a fast shipping. The last one was my Prize for the Halloween Contest. First try took over a Month and a Half for some reason, and my Drinking Vessel came broken, so I asked for a replacement. That was the second package.

That was a some sort of miracle, I know, but they did!
  • edited January 2011
They both used the free shipping though or did you pay extra? That's kinda important.

And when did you get them, you didn't answer that >.>

I brought the first one in October with the Poker Night Deal. The second one was a replacement package for my Drinking Vessel which I won in the Halloween Contest. First shipping was the Cheap One and took a month. The second one no idea but I'm sure that was the fastest one.

Well, I'll give it one more week then, but it's still weird considering the distance from the US to you should be like twice than the US to my place.

Consider the Following thing: Normaly, those packages are transported by Plane. Which means, pretty much doesn't matter how far away you and me are from California. The only thing that matter is, we are in different countries than them.

Of course, the mail also has lose one my packages once, so this possibility still exist. It should took a Month and a Half. If not, odds are they actually lose your package. T_T.

After watching about ten episodes of the subbed Dragonball on Hulu, I am completely in love with the music. Much much better than the "music" in the dubbed version.

I like the dub version music. Piccolo's Theme Super Buu Theme Ginyu Theme are some of my favorites.

Alright, who here likes mythology? Can we all just agree that the Odyssey is the greatest thing ever?

It's just that when I was watching the dub of Dragonball Z, I barely even noticed that there was music at all outside the intro. So I suppose it was less of me not liking the music from the dub, and more not really noticing it was there. I do remember some music box-esque tunes from Happy!Buu era that I sort of liked, but that's pretty all that I remember.

I suppose technically my favorite music would have to be from the original Dragonball anyway (the original theme and Piccolo's theme).

The Odyssey put me to sleep, but then my 10th grade English class was first thing in the morning, so everything put me to sleep.

Funny story, my teacher got sick of it, so he said he'd send me out of the room if I nodded off in class. He only ever did it once, and I just went to the reading room and played Pokemon for an hour and a half. Best day of that class ever.

That teacher was an asshole who didn't know what he was talking about. He literally thought that "active voice" meant "present tense" and "passive voice" meant "past tense", and he required that oral presentations be given in what he thought was active voice, and he marked one girl down for using a quote from the source material that was in past tense. What the fuck was she supposed to do, alter the quote? I failed one semester of that ass-backwards class, and three weeks of summer school to make up for it was paradise in comparison.

But yeah, I do remember The Odyssey better than anything else we studied that year, and I thought it was decent.

One of the best things ever is reading a Latin translation of it. Or at least it was amazing with my first year Latin class. We ended up with some...unique translations.

I honestly want to know what was going through Disney/ABC's heads when they decided to make the first half of the first season of Power Rangers look like a comic book. Seriously, Captions for each Zord coming along like you wouldn't be able to tell that a GIANT RED TYRANNOSAURUS is on screen, plus Comic book FREEM! type captions poorly put in for anytime a hit connects with anyone durring a battle with the putty patrol.

HOW DARE YOU RUIN MY NOSTALGIA!
I have no complaints about the Logo redesign, it doesn't look that bad.

I vow to never act like, think like, or look like the guy in this video if I ever receive a package from Telltale or anyone else. Because honestly, think about it. Think very hard about it. You know you're a sad, obsessed fanboy if you have ever reacted like this to receiving a package from a company or group you are a fan of. I have, like I've been all proud of the package and everything. I never ever will again, and I implore everyone else to follow suit. Seriously, just, I mean, packages. Getting excited for packages! Like, you can be excited for what's in the package to an extent, but don't act like this guy.

I'm back in London, where EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE and NOTHING IS GOOD. I need to do some fun London-y things to convince myself it's actually quite nice to be here.
    Sounds like PARADISE. =P

You poor hollow shell of a man.
Alright, who here likes mythology? Can we all just agree that the Odyssey is the greatest thing ever?

Mythology is pretty ace, although my knowledge of it is lacking in depth. And breadth. And length. And probably any other dimensions you can think up.

It does kind of trouble me that all the planets of our solar system are named after Roman gods, except for Uranus (Greek). What ninny was responsible for that?
  • edited January 2011
Does it bother you that they're named after gods or does it bother you that one of them is different? Also, what about Earth?
  • puzzleboxpuzzlebox Telltale Alumni
    edited January 2011
Just that one is different. Why didn't they call it Caelus?

I'd guess that Earth's name comes from earth as in dirt, and it grew into a proper noun once other planets were known and named.

    </baseless conjecture>
