I thought I just saw a spider crawl across my keyboard, but I think my eyes were playing tricks on me. I should probably get some sleep.

I always see spiders when I'm tired. From the corner of my eyes on walls (then I look and it's a stain or shadow) or on the covers or on the computer (usually light reflected or something like that).
It's pretty scary. The problem with me is that it means I'm tired and seeing things, but it also means I'm not going to be able to fall asleep because I'll be scared.

So on Monday it was 28 degrees F with a low of 1 and on Tuesday it was only 1 degree and got to -14 that night. Apparently we set some sort of huge record (local, I'm sure) for a sudden temperature drop.

Congratulations. Are you getting shirts? In Edmonton a few years back there were 50 days where the temperature was -50F, and they made shirts that said "I spent 50 days at -50" that people got if they could prove (with receipts, etc) that they were in town during that time.

All the buttons on a vending machine work perfectly well, but then for the coin return button they always blow it and install some sort of pump-action monstrosity.
    Why?

    Why?

I believe they want it to be mechanical so that in case the machine doesn't work due to lack of power, and you only notice after putting your money in, you can get it back.

Got uber prepared for a presentation today only to find out that I don't have to do it until tomorrow. Decided to spend an hour re-reading the Draconomicon and then genned an Obsidian Dragon Rogue. For fun. I need to get out more.

It scares me when my brother works out to loud music. I don't myself. If he was crushed under a weight in the basment I would never hear him. He'd be as good as dead...

Let me guess, you got the Sims 3 + all expansions half-price deal on Steam as well? Because I did. And that's what I've been doing for the past... week or so.

    I couldn't resist a deal like that.

The funny thing is, I actually have a physical copy of Sims 3 that I never even opened because I was really into Warhammer Online when I bought it. And it would have cost me more to buy the expansions than it did to buy the Steam deal. DAMN YOU STEAM I SWORE I WOULD NEVER GET SUCKED IN TO SIMS EVER AGAIN.

Get here sooner next time - I would've shared!

In other news, I'm pretty sure the "ima korean" tag in this thread is how I picked up the idea that your folks are Korean. Sad but probably true.

That one's because somebody was posting lyrics to a parody of "I Gotta Feeling" called "I'm a Korean" and nobody else knew what they were doing. After I pointed out the name of the song, someone made it a tag. Sometimes I wish we could dump all the tags in this thread and start over. I'd like to see what new ones we'd get.

In other news, it's snowing. Dammit. It wasn't supposed to snow today, now we've already got a good inch at least and it's not supposed to even slow down until around midnight.

I swear, I didn't notice the post I was quoting also said "In other news". Either I had read it without paying attention and the phrase stuck in my subconscious or Puzzlebox and I just think alike.

Time to go shovel snow! Just as soon as I find my lined pants...

By the way, Jed, as the thread creator I was allowed five tags instead of two, but I was only able to use three of them before we hit the maximum. Sometimes I'll choose an old one to delete and replace with a new tag, but I always have three.

I would guess that this one is the creator of the thread himself GuruGuru.

Is this the biggest thread now? If not, why not?
  • edited February 2011
Yeah, I didn't add any tags to this thread. Just as a heads up.
  • edited February 2011
Surprisingly enough, I have no tags in here. I have NO IDEA who referred to me as popular, a sex god, or awesome. And "rather dashing is a jackass" could be from anybody, and frankly I'm surprised that I didn't make that tag myself.

    It is the biggest thread.
I believe the closest was the SBCG4AP release thread.
Which was closed before the 1,000 post if I am correct.

Since we seem to have abandoned the guessing game, I did "dashing is a jackass" (though I can't remember what specific thing he did to prompt the tag at the time), "puzzlebox is pretty", and "seibert phone home".

Yeah, makes sense that Guru would be white knighting.

You're just asking for me to change the tag to "dashing is a huge jackass".
