Speaking of emulators, I finally set up a Virtual PC with Win 95 for games that still aren't working in Vista.

What a weird experience to go back to 95 for the first time since... well... Windows 98 came out. I keep trying to use features that weren't implemented until 2000 or XP.

My own self help against Social Anxiety is not really working, I am still scared as hell to do even the smallest of things.
And finding the right person for Cognitive Therapy and Hypnosis are hard to find...

Do you guys play the BABY BABY BABY BABY song when there's an encounter?

It enhances the situation for quite some people if they have a visual connection to both the device they are travelling with and the environment outside, i don't know if this trick also works for animals. The last time i got sick was going by a ferry, although i don't remember having problems in small boats before. The solution was to go into the middle of the boat where i was the closest to the point of rest.

I have the ability to get motion sick in elevator, or even - it only happened once or twice, mind you - while walking. And I certainly get motion sick with my eyes closed. But I can believe there is a visual aspect to it, although I would say a big chunk of it is about balance and your inner ears telling you you're moving when you feel you shouldn't be.
The pills for my cat (yes, they ARE pills) work for sure, since she doesn't pant when she has taken them. (That's how I first figured out she was motion sick. I told my vet "when we're traveling, she pants like a dog, is she okay?" and he told me she was scared, motion sick, or both.)

As for way to take meds, powders are pretty common in France (for instance, powdered is my favourite way to get aspirin). You add a bit of water to them so you need to have water around, but then you do for pills too (and more of it). And often I just put the water in the bag the powder comes in, meaning I don't even need a glass.
There are also some chewable medication (kind of like gummy candy) and the "meltable" kind. The latter you just put in your mouth and your saliva melts it, it's very practical to take when traveling if you know you won't have access to water. On the downside, it often tastes terrible. The only two meds I've known to come in that format were Doliprane and Spasfon (I'm not sure if either is common out of France).

And since we mentioned suppositories, I'm unsure if in English it's the same word for "female suppositories" or if you call them something different. It's not something males have to deal with, but for some feminine issues that the way meds are administered as well.

Haha, I miss the big green cross, when I'm looking for a pharmacy I'm always thinking "crap, there isn't one anywhere" but they just don't have the big sign :P Actually, they're usually part of a grocery store here.

Man Amiga emulators are so hard to get working properly.
(And yes, I am playing a legal emulator. Amiga Forever)

It just makes me feel sorry for those that had them.

I feel your pain, I own a working amiga 500 and 600, but they are in an awkward to reach place in the garage.

I also have a mint condition Commodore 64 (seriously, you'd think it was new, 100 percent dust and scratch free, no yellowing at all)

Not sure whether to sell it now for a reasonable price, or hold onto it for a few decades when it becomes worth a fortune (will that ever happen? the apple 1 is worth hundreds of thousands now)

Have been looking at Logitec trackball mouse and I really need to get one.
Had a trackball mouse years ago and I loved it, I wonder why I never got one after that?

Hmm, now you've got me thinking about trying out a trackball for spriting. I've been having some trouble with my mouse getting stuck when I need to move just one pixel over or something, so that might work out better for me. I've also used a touchpad before, and that worked well except that I couldn't scroll at the same time as any other function.

The Search for a good PC gamepad has finally ended.
I now have the ultimate solution (for me at least):

Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows (I'm using a cheap replica, that is actually pretty good condition and apparently lasts longer than the rare genuine ones)
    +
Xpadder (Emulates Keyboard and Mouse functions for 360 controllers connected to windows)

    All for a measly £17!

I am actually using my 360 controller right now as a mouse on my laptop, and I've already configured it to play minecraft.

    GO ME!!!

When I first heard the song, I could have sworn that the chorus went:

All the homo men to love break away. All the lesbians, can you let me out? Can you set me free from this dance... and so on and so on.

    I was all: wat

    I DON'T KNOW.

Patience, man. Besides, how the hell should any of us know what Commodore 64 prices are going to do in the next few DECADES? How the hell are any of us supposed to know what inflation is going to do in the next few decades?

Well, as Guru pointed out, it's had to tell. If the world ends in 2012 then obviously it's worth nothing! Though if you've got the original beige 'breadbox' model, that'll probably be worth more than the later 'looks like an Amiga' version.

Just tested it, and it seems the controller is already set up to work with it.
(it didn't work for me at first as it was conflicting with my Xpadder config. turned it off and discovered its already set up to work)

    Analogue and D-pad move
    A selects stuff
    B cancels stuff
X opens up the inventory and sets things to use
(If you want to use a item, press X, scroll with stick, press A to confirm, then the items shows up in one of the top bubbles, just select object then press A to interact)
    Y opens hints
R trigger shows up all the things in the room
left and right bumber as well as the right stick allow you to scroll between things that can be interacted with in the room
    Click right stick = history
Click left stick = moves that exclamation hint thing.

    Start opens up the menu

    Hope that helps :D

EDIT: Also, if you do get one of these "xbox 360" adapters, (the real ones say Microsoft I think), then follow these intructions to install (good idea to save these, and don't use the disk, its worthless!)

(note: when you first plug it in it will try to auto install. just click the status balloon and cancel the driver install)

    Right click on Computer
    Go to Properties
    Click on Device Manager
Right click on the Unidentified Device
    Go to Properties
    Go to the Drive tab
    Click on Update Driver…
Browse my computer for driver software
Let me pick from a list of devicedrivers on my computer
Windows Common Controller for Window Class
Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for WindowsVersion: 2.1.0.1349 [8/13/2009]
    Update Driver Warning
    Click Yes

Still working on that Christopher Lee voice/accent. I'm not sure if I'm starting to get halfway decent or if I just sound ridiculous. I wouldn't care that much if I was just doing a costume, but now I may end up needing to be able to do the voice for a skit. Thankfully, the audio is all pre-recorded, so I have several takes to get it right, but that still means I need to be good at the voice by around August.

I have a Commodore 64 and we looked at selling it last year. Ebay had them going for about $50 so it seemed a waste to sell it. So it sits in the store room...

Chemical spill in the town where I work, so all have been ordered to stay indoors, and close all windows. (Don't see a reason to have any windows open, as it's minus degrees and snowing outside).

But no clue what it is yet, but I am certain I did smell something strange when I got of the bus.

EDIT* Just some Organic Sulphur gasses, so nothing toxic to kill us. But it will stink.

    Here I am! :)

    I used them with BTTF1 and Sam&Max Season 3, it's quite enjoyable.

Unfortunately you need and XInput pad for TTG games, for what I know, and that means your choice are in fact restricted to xbox360 pad + adapter or some fancy Logitech pad (again, for what I know, I haven't followed the thing for a while in fact).

I used to use a GameCube pad (best pad ever in my opinion) with an adapter for PC, but it's a DirectInput device and doesn't work with TTG nor with a lot of recent games.

In general, I think there's little to no sense in getting a specific PC pad, since console pads are better, if only for scale economy reasons, and if you already have some in the house, it's really a no-brainer: get an adapter.

(As a side-note, I've also been able to use a xbox360 Rock Band 3 drumset with the adapter, and FFofix, but, at the moment, it doesn't recognise the cymbals distinctly.)

EDIT: Yes, as already pointed out, you do NOT need xpadder!

Huh, what? Tim Curry was in it? Man, I wish the download for that movie went faster. Then again, also downloading A Pup Named Scooby-Doo and a bunch of other Scooby-Doo serials (including Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue, don't ask, I just want my collection to be complete).

Also, the only reason I care for the Hex Girls is because they make music and Jennifer Hale does Thorn's voice in all incarnations. In ALL incarnations. Even Mystery Incorporated.

    WAIT!

Okay, back the fuck up. Jennifer Hale is in it?

You do realize that this means that Pennywise and Bastila Shan were in the same production, right? Is there anyone else in it that I should know about?
