I've decided to rewatch Redwall, in tribute to the late Brian Jaques

Wish vacations didn't go so fast, I really miss my Boyfriend now but I did have a great time.

I'm just trying to stop thinking about going back to work tomorrow, but of course that is all I can think about now. :p

That's actually one of the few animated adaptations of a book that I don't take issue with. Though I've only seen Redwall, not Mattimeo or Martin the Warrior, one of these days I need to pick up the rest.

And I finished reworking the Jafar staff I made, w00t! Certainly looks better than the first version imo.

Very nice, Jen! That's a huge improvement, and it already looked amazing before.

I've come to realize that running a video game series is sort of a dangerous thing. For the last three months, my free time was mostly spent playing one Kingdom Hearts game or another. If I didn't have anything else to do, that was what I defaulted to. Now that I'm finished with the series, I sort of don't know what to do with myself. Whenever I don't have anything else to do, I don't have that default in place.

I guess what I'm saying is that in the last three months, I sort of conditioned myself not to have to think about what to spend my time on, and having the choice returned to me is a bit overwhelming.

Someone please point me towards subtitled Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger as soon as possible.
I can tell it looks awesome, but I can't understand a word of it.

I never knew it was possible to take your cat onboard and keep her with you during the flight. (I've never had a reason to try). I always assumed that they'd take any animals away and seal them securely where they keep the bags or something.

    Learn something new everyday.

It depends on the airlines, and some used to offer it, then stopped, then started again.
Typically, pets in the cabin are allowed if you use a soft carrier (in cargo you need a hard one, obviously), they replace your allowed carry-on luggage and you need to pay a fee (typically much less than for cargo). They also need to fit under the seat at your feet. Oh, and they're only allowed on short flights, I couldn't fly back to France with a pet in the cabin for instance. Which I wouldn't want to, at least down with the luggage they have people taking care of them.
Nowadays they tell you the pet will travel there. The first time I travel with my pet in the cabin was another story... First it cos me more than my ticket, then they suddenly told me she had to be under the seat in front of me and wouldn't let me keep her on the seat next to me, which was empty. I wasn't too happy.

My bus in the morning now leaves 5 minutes earlier than before I went on vacation, so of course I missed it...

And my gamer chair is broken to I can't lean back, so now I have to get some huge nails/screws and hopefully I can fix it.

I wonder if cats do the pressure equalisation different to us. Yawning or moving your jawbone could be easy ways.

Eh, I'm getting incredibly sick of summer. I never wanted this season to come in the first place, and now that it's here it's taking its bloody time, and punishing us all with 40°+ day after another. I just wish winter would hurry up and make me freezing cold again; it's a lot more pleasant than this horrible, sweaty, humid, hot, sticky weather.

I'll trade you summer for winter, and you can have all of our four feet of snow too.

So I'm back from the dentist's, sans wisdom teeth and the ability to speak clearly. I was hugely impressed with how accommodating they were. I told them that I freak out around pointy tooth-poker things, and suddenly they went out of their way to make me as comfortable as possible. (and Dashing's joke kept popping up in my head once I saw how attractive the dentists were ;))

I'm now far less apprehensive about my second extraction appointment. Of course, now the anesthesia is wearing off a bit, and the first hint of pain is starting to come through...
  • edited February 2011
Ohhh it'll be fun times in an hour for you Shagster. But you'll be grand soon enough.

The aulwisdom teeth extraction's weird, they're all "alright it's out" and you're all like "wow really!" then you walk home with gauze in your mouth

    FIN

I hate almost everyone who was on the Grammies last night. Except for this guy:

My sister's still pissed at me because I handled the anesthesia calmly, while she was bawling her eyes out after she had her wisdom teeth out. She's two years younger, but she had hers out first for some reason.

I remember the day after I had them out. First, one friend brought over pho to make me feel better, so I ended up chewing on chicken with my front teeth. Not the brightest thing she ever did. Then another friend brought over Kingdom Hearts for me to play for the first time on the PS2 I was borrowing from another friend (yes, this is where it all started). What's particularly memorable about it is that I started trying to jump on this boulder on Destiny Islands for some reason, noticing that Sora would hang in the air above it. When I landed on the boulder just right, Sora hung for a couple of seconds, and then the boulder exploded for no reason.

I had to repeat it when I had access to the game again, just to make sure the three of us weren't crazy.

Haha, exactly. Now I'm bleeding through the gauze like a stuck pig and praying that it clots before I have to start getting worried. AND I'm a smoker, so the whole "no smoking for two days" rule really sucks. I'm compromising by smoking just a tiny bit and chasing each cig with water. It's risky, but I'd rather risk some extra pain and a chewing out from the dentist than the nervous breakdowns and depression from going cold turkey.

I smoked a few faegs a day as well. Just don't suck like a madman or you'll end up with a dry socket i'm told. After I rinsed my mouth out with warm water with salt in it to sterilize all the evil.

Why the fuck do we smoke anyway?

What Pants said. And do you know who looks insanely cool smoking a cig?

The main character of Cowboy Bebop, Spike Spiegel.
