Didn't say it was a bad thing, Jetman is probably one of my favorite Sentai series' ever. Just pointing out that it's sad it's become rare that I get days just to faff around in.
I've been working on a comic translation. I did the translation itself about a month ago for the issue I'm working on, and I just finished the layout part.
Sometimes it's really easy, you just erase the English words and put the French ones instead. Sometimes it's a pain, because the balloon is for one word in English and it's ten words in French, or the word is much longer, or the sentence is about the same size but with bigger words that the balloon doesn't accommodate for.
Or, sometimes it's a real pain, because words become part of the background and have effects on them, and you need to first manage to erase them and somehow recreate the background (since not the same parts will be covered once the text has changed), and then put the French text and recreate the effects.
The past week and a half have been full of that latter type. When you look at a page, it looks like nothing (which is good. You don't want the people who read the translation to even notice this was hard to make. It should feel like it was that way to begin with) but man, does it take a while to work on.
So I'm happy and accomplished, and with not much to show for it. Anyway, I'm done with the lettering for this issue to I'll start working on the translating for the next one.
Thank you for that. I was looking everywhere for a demonic hill but when I typed "demonic hill" into google image search all I got were Silent Hill posters.
It was mightily depressing that no artist had thought to create a suitable demon hill for silly forum posts. T_T
