Icedhope: Never before have troll and mod coexisted so greatly in one package.

A jab? yes. Unwarranted? I don't think so.
I'm pretty sure there's a pretty big leap between "disliking a video game you enjoy" and "being a dick to an extremely nice and intelligent person that has just been through a disaster for no reason whatsoever".

Meet the only Pokémon cards I still care about.

    DSC00078.jpg

My favorite Pokémon have always been the Eevee evolutions, and these cards were all the more special because I got three of them from booster packs (the other two I bought from a friend). Espeon and Umbreon even came out of my first two Neo Discovery booster packs.

Then one day, my sister spilled a Coke on our computer desk, completely warping the cards. After I cleaned the Coke out of the keyboard, I hit eBay hard. Before the morning was over, I had all five cards again, including a Jolteon with the exact same defect as the original (a missing Jungle emblem). Now I keep them in hard top-loaders and away from anywhere someone might set a drink, and I did the same for Leafeon and Glaceon after Diamond and Pearl came out.

That reminds me of a conversation a few of us had where I found out I had a pokemon card worth about a 3ds game. Basicaly meaning this little card could very well be what gives me Ocarina of Time 3ds:D

    Oh? What card is it?

    Oh? What card is it?

    Japanese Ancient Mew.
It actually is more or less $20 but a good start on said 3ds game.
    Or a decent steam game

It was just a joke. Don't read too much into it.

    You can do it!

Face to face, would you deny a man his breakfast!?

    You'd become quite a wanted man...as am I...

Staring at our feet when we get out of bed, hosting a personality show with yourself in the mirror whilst brushing your teeth, running to and forth from different rooms where you've scattered your kit for the day.

These are the things this man loses if he eats breakfast

This man has hope of ice! You can't take this away from him! He wants to eat breakfast one day! His hope is as cold and frozen as ice! AS ICE! How can you deny him this new found hope in his life?

Congrats to the new mods! You were probably sorely needed and you're all people I actually like (and respect and stuff), so I'm pretty happy about this new development.

What do you mean, Guru, about the PM boxes being smaller? Granted, I tend to delete my PMs after I read them (and I always delete the ones I'm sending) but still, wouldn't mods need MORE room? How much room do you have now?
  • edited March 2011
I just deleted a TON of PMs... it told me mine was full... now its saying I have 0 but still full.... silly PM box.

Mmh... Maybe you actually don't have an upper limit so it always thinks it's full?

LOL WHAT!? Irishmile is a mod too!? What the hell? Is this the Twilight Zone? He's a awesome guy but all the sudden him and every one else is a mod.
  • edited March 2011
This is the most brilliant, innovative looking game I've seen in a long time.

Why is it when I discover something cool, it goes mainstream shortly after?:p

Brain wave entertainment meets video games...

You're telling me! Last night I had a dream that TomPravetz became a mod as well.

The sun went out shortly after, but I'm fairly sure the events were not connected.

Well, I've made it to level 5-1 in Ninja Gaiden so far without save states. This game....only Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde is nearly as frustrating as it. I'm terrified of the sequels.

If you're having trouble sleeping, I can recommend the music that I'm studying for my midterm Thursday.

I can't remember for sure, but I think the non-mod capacity is 500 messages? For mods, it's 50. And you're totally right, it does stand to reason that we would need more room. I asked Alan about it and he said it doesn't sound normal and he'll look into it. Suddenly, it's much less impressive that Seibert managed to fill up one of the mods' PM box up several times in a day. Still impressive (in a horrifying way), but much less so.

Oh, and there's a setting in your User CP to make it so that your sent PMs aren't automatically saved.

Make sure you delete your sent messages too.

I thought that at first, but then I tried asking Alan if it was normal and the system wouldn't let me sent him a PM because I didn't have room for the sent message in my outbox. I had to delete something like 200 messages just to be able to ask him about it.

Talking about Pokemon cards, I have loads of them in my loft.

I actually have a complete set of Rocket cards, (we bought a few boxes of boosters for cheap from entertainement a few years ago), including the Shiny Raichu.
Not worth a lot, but still pretty cool.

50?! Even with all my deleting, I have over three times that in my inbox! That's a ridiculously low number.

I wonder why no one replied to the reDeiscoveringDaventry and rePlayQuest threads in KQ forums ...

Oh well, I'll work on the website myself. I'm gonna think about it's design now. hoping a KQ fan who's a php programmer helps me make it happen. if not, then I'm gonna have to stick to a simple wordpress installation ....

I'd like to replay Final Fantasy IX, but my damn walkthrough is still lying around at a friend's. Or doesn't, because she is moving. I want my walkthrough back!!

(And interestingly, the only two PS games still in my possession are Final Fantasy IX and Metal Gear Solid. Strange, that).

I just opened two different boxes of ice cream sandwiches only to find that they were both apparently "put-backs" and had melted and refrozen. Going to have to have some words at the grocery store...
