I can't wait until Rather Dashing becomes a mod and begins editing all of everyone's posts to agree with him.

Why did these two get modship? I know they are sensible people but they are no more sensible than the rest of us, although a few of us such as myself don't deserve it, it's not like they've done anything special to earn it,

    ^jealous post

Um what? Speaking from my own experience, but that doesn't sound like him at all.

    I assume it's because:

a.) they've been on the forums for a substantial amount of time

    and

b.) they haven't exhibited any trolling tendencies.

Please stop. I don't need to see arguments right now. I came on here to get away from my problems for a bit, not start more.

    d) They are always online. Or at least, that's what it seems like.

Just watched my cat climb through a small gap in an open window, (note that this window opens outwards!), balance himself on the small window base, then jump and land perfectly on the middle of my table, then immediately rush to the sofa I'm sitting on and sit next to me and purr like the old dopey git he is!

Also my mum just said some gibberish while she was sleeping, which made me laugh, which then in turn woke her up.

The forum has only been around since 2005 I believe.

Vainamanomeanmanvaniman (rough guess) was the shortest joining to mod with only a few months between.

I think you need to knock it off right now, and stop picking fights with people, that post wasn't aimed at you, so why are you trying to pick a fight, she gave you an honest answer. If you do have a problem we can take it to PM.

I was going to go to a lecture on Blood Feuding in Anglo-Saxon England tonight but, stupid me, I decided it'd be a good idea to laundry today and didn't leave enough time for the 50 minute drying cycle to finish up before I have to go. So my options are skip the lecture or go and leave my laundry to clog up the dryer for an hour like a prick. So yeah, probably not going.

Washing laundry is was more extreme and entertaining. You should do awesome extreme laundry all evening instead!

This is a joking jibe by the way, not a OMG REPORT POST post

I wish I could do outside stuff. But, on the flip side I have some graphic design work to do on my computer right now.

I can't believe what Glenn Beck said about the disasters in Japan - how does he still have a job?!?! >: ( I'm so sick of everytime there's a natural disaster some idiot pops up playing the God argument (not against religion, just people how try to make it out like God hates anyone who doesn't follow theirs).

There is a video on youtube of some smug bitch who says how grateful she is to god for slaying thousands of Japanese citizens, UGH.

I can't believe how disrespectful some people can be.

Many people are flagging her video so I anticipate the video won't last very long.

My God, I won't dignify her by adding to her view count but what is people's problem? Probably the kind of person who picks and chooses the parts of the Bible they like the sound of and disregard those which don't support their views...the sort of person that gives Christianity a bad name. I'm not a Christian myself but I know most aren't like this, shame that only the horrible ones get the publicity. :/

The video has hundreds of thousands of views, so 1 extra wouldn't hurt, don't worry though, the majority of the commenters wishing she burns in hell or something

And here's the thing these guys are probably forgetting- there are plenty of Japanese Christians. If their god was really that hateful to heathens, why was the destruction indiscriminate?

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but...

I'll never understand where people get these extremist views myself.

Does your plane get wifi? Once again good to hear you're fine, I saw the pictures of the disaster in the newspaper, it's actually very depressing, but the Japanese government knows what they are doing, hopefully this will be sorted quicker than we know it fingers crossed?

I've seen numbers around half of a percent or 1% of the population claiming "Christianity" on surveys and the census. Granted, the Christian culture that does exist is very rich and interesting, but isn't it fairly unrepresentative?

...that's completely beside the point, of course. The point being that reveling in a disaster is a terrible thing. Whether it's due to the thought that God is striking against Japan due to widespread "atheism"(because if it's not something we understand, it's atheism), or due to "long overdue karmic revenge for Pearl Harbor", it's pretty nasty all around.

I dunno about you guys, but if God is pissed off at geographically-defined legal jurisdictions(aka "countries") for actions performed 70 years ago, the US is in trouble.

My plane has no wifi. It is supposed to arrive in 9 hours and I am supposed to leave in 12. This board has been keeping me sane for the past 8 hours since I arrived in the airport. I'll be happy to type out to you guys a firsthand account as soon as I am fed and rested in my destination. My mother has been keeping a very detailed log on her Facebook and has given me permission to copypasta it for you guys to read, but it is definitely a TLDR kind of post.

You nailed it there, would be awesome if that girl who made the video read this, but it would get drowned out by people posting comments saying "U R A BETCH LOL"

That's odd. Usually, this board has the opposite effect on people. We must be slacking. :)
