I'm thinking of doing all the monkey island games one after another and streaming with commentary, now I have new webcam and mic. Just a thought at the moment.

You should sometime - sometime when you're in the mood.
God I wish that was universally true. Does Hori HAVE to solder everything? x__x
It's amazing how much that cab changed, wonder where they left the bike part XD
Also, just what kind of stick is that second one? Never seen one like it o__O
I should imagine the cabinet was broken and the original creator probably disposed of those parts, (the cabinet has had at least 2 owners beforehand).
Its a shame, as I would have loved to own those parts.
As for the stick, I too think its incredibly odd.
I've been trying to find out what sort it is, (could have come from another arcade macine, though there being two of them makes me doubt that...), but so far I've had no luck.
All I know is that the microswitches are from Sweden, the stick does not seem to be easily removed, and the stick has a sealed plastic bottom similar to Australian sticks.
They also seem quite aged as well. Theres a lot of dirt, and a bit of rust on them. Everything else seems newer.
- Where the hell did all the tags go? Almost all of the original, 'classic' tags have spontaneously disappeared. I feel like a part of me has died.
I noticed this too. I tried to put back a few of the classic ones and by a few I mean one and one that should have been a classic one.
But, however, I think it's a good thing to have happened. The tags were getting a bit stale since no one was changing them and, with a thread like this, the tags should be constantly changing. What was funny last week, probably won't be this one.
- I've grown awful fond of soundtracks (both game and movie). They're just so great to listen to; there's usually so much depth and atmosphere to the music; I love it. Soon my CD collection will comprise of rock, metal and soundtracks, which will be strange.
You have just described the bulk of my music collection. Now just fill in the cracks with Stravinsky and Beethoven and we will be music twins!
I have an idea for a forum game "The reason I love coolsome game" game. Someome says how great I am then someone else says it and so on! It could easy get more posts then this page. Oh and anyone not taking it seriously gets a banhammer and all there games removed.

this game sounds amazing! And youd better believe im going to take it seriously

I know everyone wants to know the answer to this: Will I be able to actually ban people with the banhammer after I get it?
Please say yes! You see, I've always wanted a banhammer of my very own.
But, however, I think it's a good thing to have happened. The tags were getting a bit stale since no one was changing them and, with a thread like this, the tags should be constantly changing. What was funny last week, probably won't be this one.
Actually, you're probably right that it's a good thing. So often I found myself wanting to add some new tags but never being able to because I already had two up there. The removal of the tags has given me my freedom back!

I'm actually surprised at how popular Beethoven still is today, almost 200 years later. But hey, I guess truly good music is timeless and can be appreciated by anyone. I might actually check out some of his music sometime, and some other classical music. It's actually one of the two genres that I want to get into - classical and jazz.
hayden back to the future improves slightly as the game goes on
Alright, I may give it the time of day sometime in the future (I doubt it will take up too much of my time). It's just that the reasons I was disappointed by it in the first place - lack of gameplay, ridiculous easiness and dull dialogue - have appeared to remain consistent throughout episode 2 and into episode 3. And after hearing that episode 4 is more of the same, I now have no incentive or motivation to actually continue with it (which I have already expressed).
I especially like the 'You Get Remembered' picture that welcomes you to the website.
"You Get Remembered" as that creepy uncle who really needs to ease up on the hair grease and find a better facelift surgeon.
Love this line on their website too: "Being remembered and grabbing eyeballs is important." Yes. Grabbing eyeballs. Because I NEED ALL THE EYEBALLS for my eyeball collection. I keep them on pins under glass, like butterflies.
Oh and I also like all these happy toys happily leaping into the Happy Blender of Death.

As soon as it was done, we got a bunch of tags about... tags. How meta. Nature abhors a vacuum and all that.
Made out with that girl again tonight. Not sure how I feel about this.
Does it matter how you feel? A child feels angry when you take away his sucker. A child feels happy when you give him a soda pop. If you want to be responsible for your feelings then find out what she wants out of all this. Is her relationship open or something? Does she want the cheap thrill of cheating on her boyfriend? What is she aiming for?
She was aiming for the toilet, but it's a bit hard for a girl to aim when she's peeing standing up. I'll bet that turns you on, you curly haired Fukuyama you.
Made out with NO girl again tonight. Not sure how I feel about this.
Poor Fawful, getting one upped by a school teacher. Also, I can guarantee I've made out with more women than you because I'm awesome like that. How you gonna act, playa? Say sumthin!
Now that I'm caught up on the thread, the matter on my mind is this: after searching for Battlestar Galactica wallpaper on DeviantArt, I can conclude that furries ruin everything and are the worst thing to happen to art since the advent of abstractism.
I'm at SFO right now. check in and security were a breeze.
Boarding in 2 hours and then flying to Newark. Then my next plane goes to Warsaw and after that France. I was worried I'd have to get my luggage in Poland to go through customs (I've had to do that before when going through several countries) but it's going all the way to Paris on its own, which is good. I'm thinking maybe that's because it's part of the EU, or because the layover is so short (only a couple of hours).
I'll probably keep you posted. Wifi here is 45 minutes, hopefully renewable.

Well, admitting it (using EVA, no less!) is a step towards recovery. If you're ever in Georgia, I'll impart my knowledge upon you. This is also the greatest idea for a buddy pic ever. We'd be the modern day Laurel & Hardy!
By the laws of EVA I must sit in a corner, hold my knees, blame everyone else for my problems, and do nothing productive.
You really don't want a buddy pic to work, do you? It's more like Laurel and That Crying Emo in The Corner. Well, you were adopted and nobody loves you and that won't change until the whining ends.

I won't buddy pic with someone who thinks Chaplin is better than Groucho, who ran him so far through the ringer all Chaplin could do was throw a hissy. The big baby.

And I've decided to use that to make a mock-up design of my control panel.
Now if I could possibly get those sides as close to the original design as possible, I think it would be a lovely tribute.

Bootup: "Welcome to the Fantasy Zone!!"
Shutdown: "GAMEOVER! YEAAAAAHHH!!!!"
Unable to get rid of the XP boot and shutdown stuff.
Oh well, that will have to do!
That's awesome and it also makes me want to use Hudson's "game over man, game over" quote from "Aliens" as my shutdown noise.
Excellent

Apparently not overly hard since this organization has made a business out of it.

I totally have the original Fox Kids magazine somewhere...if it's not one of the issues I cut up to use with my Pog maker...

Oh, shit man. Sorry to hear about that. I hope you find new work soon and that tonight is better than last night.
That blender looks downright psychotic, like it wants to stab me or something. I am the scared.
