Just won the Pac-Man Scrub League betting pool on Giant Bomb. :D

-1 (one) copy of Buckner & Garcia's "Pac-Man Fever" CD
-1 (one) Pac-Man maze cheat sheet, autographed by Buckner & Garcia
    -1 (one) 30th Anniversary Pac-Man Moleskine notebook
-1 (one) download code for Galaga Legions DX for Xbox Live Arcade

I *never* win things, and I bet on one of the longest shots just for shits and giggles, so this is extra awesome.

Haha, thanks. I'm hankering for some Pac-Man now too. I'm terrified to load up CE DX and see how far my leaderboard score has fallen, so I'll settle for MAME and original Pac.

Once I'm back in California, we should organise a meetup at some point!

Sounds good to me. Can't wait to visit the SD zoo again, myself.

Well, somehow I managed to splash a rather large amount of boiling water on my face. Luckily none got in my eyes, because that might have made it necessary to spend this evening at the emergency room. As it is, the entire right side of my face is quite burned, much like a sunburn, but more painful.

So I guess what's on my mind is: "Ow!"

    OW!

If it's any comfort, if you were doing biochemistry things, there are far worse things to splash on your face. Be glad it was just water.

I was just boiling noodles. I like to think I'm much more careful when I'm in the lab. Like to think. :D

My house is currently surrounded by the worst thunderstom I can remember, accompanied by super heavy rain, as well as hail for a while. The power flicked off for a couple seconds earlier. I wish I had a UPS about now.

So have I. So have I. Though, having it actually happen is sort of a relief, actually. Now, I know what it's like and I don't have to worry so much any more.

That's certainly true. I've had my share of cringeworthy injuries, and while they sucked horribly, there was always that sense of "Well, that just happened, and I'm still alive. Moving on, then." And I'm always cracking jokes about it before I even leave the hospital.

Yup! Actually, my face has stopped hurting so much now and I feel like cracking jokes about Phantom of the Opera and Two-Face!

I don't really know how much of me got splashed. I was much too concerned about the fact that my face felt like it was on fire.

Nah, it's passed 10,000 already so the next true benchmark will be when it reaches either 50,000 or 100,000. Then there can be a celebration and much pomp and circumstance to be had by all.

    There will probably be cake.

You will be baked, and there will be cake.

If the off me, none of you will ever believe it was the truth. That's the art of it all, the creative license of power, of creating your power, creating your servants, your puppets. Those who run the puppet show must have their puppets, for that is the art of the puppet show. The nature of the puppet is to be the puppet as the nature of the puppeteer is to be the puppeteer.

You have a nasty habit of seeming to use so many words and yet actually say very little. It might behoove you to be more direct in your wording at times, I think.

No offense, mate, but you couldn't be crazy if you tried.

Scratch that, I'm interested to see you when crazy. That would be interesting.

No, that's the way I am.

In my mind, perhaps a few others, if only a few, I say a lot.

Found out my TV has settings to tinker around with.

So after some tinkering, I got the SNES to look better on it.

Though its still very far from perfect.

It seems to be certain colour combinations that cause the blurriness, especially red and blue.

I must investigate further while I wait for my S-video cable to arrive...

Why does my sister friend have to be so HOT!?

And now they are going to watch movies down stairs and I'm just between it.

To the scalded and/or slightly accident prone people who posted earlier: a little reminder not to run with scissors, and to look both ways before crossing the road please! I don't want to hear about any of us being horribly injured.
I'm beginning to feel that this thread has reached its twilight and it's about time to put 'er down. Maybe in another 2381 posts.

As long as Winslow Invasion exists, the Whatever thread must stay.

Once people start posting what you thought you read thats when this thread needs to be closed.

I should have read this part of the thread sooner...

    I'm not a family person >.>
