He.. he made it through Jar Jar Binks.. and then he survived Jake Lloyd... and then he couldn't make it through A New Hope. This goes against all logic.
I have a theory!
Friar, are you by any chance from the Bizarro World?
I don't think anything could explain it. I'm going to go stare at the wall now. I don't know when I'll stop.
You should probably stop when you start seeing random spots appear on the wall. You should definitely stop when the random patterns begin to turn into pictures or a movie.
In case you don't stop: Write down your experience. Perhaps Friar will like that movie ...

Unlikely. The wayward daydreams of ANY person would be too abstract and lack the kind of pacing Friar desires. In fact, yeah, let's have a little discussion about pacing for a moment, because I have a nifty little graph and dammit I'm gonna use it.
Now, as you can see from this graph(courtesy of this article on video game pacing), the pacing of A New Hope is structurally perfect. You have a strong opening, followed by steady escalations of tension that build up to the final moment. How Friar got through Episode 1 is beyond me, because the start of Phantom Menace isn't strong at all, but instead has two whitebread douchebags in robes talking about indecipherable make-believe politics. Compare that to the attack on the Tantive IV, and A New Hope opens with a BANG. However, as you can see, Friar gave up somewhere before the tension ratchets back up to Tantive IV assault levels. Essentially, we're dealing with a person that not only FALLS for obscenely cheap pacing tricks, in which every single moment has to be another big upwards tick in tension, creating a flat, upwards slope....but actually PREFERS this. This is, frankly, insane.
Great. Despite a weekend of imitating a germaphobe, the con crud beat me this year. I'm 90% sure I have a cold now.
Well, I can assure you that the best way to give your germaphobic tendancies a pick-me-up is to go watch Contagion. You will be washing your hands non-stop and not touching your face for months.

Perhaps I shall. The weird scenarios that my brain concocts end up being quite dynamic and interesting and generally don't bother with stupid things like character progression or scene-setting. It's just straight to the action! Like that dream I had where my mom gave me a BB gun and sent me off to go hunt velociraptors! That was fun.

Hey that is the same graph used in Extra Credits
"I have this graph I found on the internet that I never found again, and Im using it"
Well, as of this year, I've been to Nan Desu Kan eight times, and I've gotten sick upon my return home five times. This is not a good record.
And to make matters worse, my sister got sick last week and absconded with all the Nyquil and Dayquil in the house. At least I was able to find one box of lotion tissues last night (which is now more than half gone).

Make some tea with lemon and honey. Best feel good ever and it's also quite tasty.
Also, soup. And oatmeal.
Actually, this is sounding like a rather good dinner for me...
Yeah, my mom's planning on making chicken soup for dinner. And she and my sister are at the store right now, so soon I should have my cold medicines, more lotion tissues, and some almond milk so I can have cereal in the morning.

Sounds good.
Just make sure you don't watch Contagion. At least, not until you're better.
Hm. You're discussing the relationship of colonial America to the Ottoman Turks?
Oh wait. For some reason I missed the "New" in New England. Nevermind.
I'm writing an essay on the Orientalist perspective. Which comes from lots of Europeans, actually. My favorite one so far is Karl Marx's perspective, because Marx always cracks me up with his intricate social theories.
Marx also had a very ethno/cultural centric view of the world. Not that I don't like him. Sort of.
I think he has some pretty interesting theories, but I always crack up when it all comes back to THE REVOLUTION. It's like he's trying to write the future.
My mind have a habit of grabbing on to things and then go into overdrive about it.
Some examples would be, the hate towards the way Max Payne 3 was turning out, that lead on to Max Payne 2 which I really liked and watched the trailers and a few clips and listened to some of the game tracks.
Witch lead on to Poets of the Fall, a new favorite band.
Then it was the awesome Bioshock Infinite trailers.
I like reminiscing about my past, about the good times and bad. I just wish I had a better memory but recent (well recent as in the past 8 to 10 years or so) lifestyle choices (that's a hell of a way to put it!) haven't helped that. Plus I don't think I had that good a long term memory anyway. But at least with the reminiscing I'm doing now, I'm also writing it down if only for my benefit. At least it helps me to at least organise the thoughts that I have.

And now I've just found out that my grandfather has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease as well as another related condition (not sure which exactly, I think it's something to do with small parts of the brain not working any more). It's not really a surprise as it's something we have expected for a little while now what with his aberrant behaviour and memory problems but it's something else when it's officially diagnosed. I know it's not a good thing to think but at least he's at an age (late 80s) where he won't have to live with it that long. I mean I think it would be better if he went before the Alzheimer's progressed into the later, more debilitating stages. It's hard enough right now for his wife without it getting worse. At least he's at the stage where he can get medication for it and hopefully it will stave off the later stages for longer. I know there's not much I can do but it won't stop me thinking about it.

Edit: Oh, never mind. Someone just deleted six posts.
Edit 2: OK, when I first posted this, it was post #20047. Now it's #20041. I don't know what to believe anymore.

Happens to everyone who is too lazy and/or busy to keep their place tidy. I'm the worst culprit.

I'll discuss it, provided that said discussion deals with the Ottoman Turks as well, as I'm currently writing an essay on that relationship.

Now it's something completely new, Darkwing Duck.
Hmmm I wonder what it will be next time.

Whats he doing with the other hand?
Playing Parcheesi, obviously.
Ask a silly question, get a silly answer.

I...ah...guess I'll be going now.
I'm currently still squeeing.
