Meh, I thought the cameo in the previous episode (
Nathan Fillion
) was better.
While equally awesome, I sorta expected that one since Felicia Day actually knows him. Neil Gaiman was thus more "Squee"-worthy because it was a complete shock and then hilarious. Also, the random Stargate guy who's name I can't remember.
I know, which is why I'm really really hoping Neil Patrick Harris shows up somewhere. That man is like a god.
If he shows up, he needs to sing something. Or at least start to sing something before he gets interrupted by one of the Guild members who just brush him off and move on to something completely different.
I started on my first novel today! Whether or not I'll finish it is another matter. Even if I do there's no guarantee it'll even be of publishable quality, but hey, as long as I have fun doing it, I'll be happy!

I didn't know you were a budding writer!! What sorta thing are you going for?
I woke up with the song Banana Phone in my head. (Not as bad as the flash animation, mind you). I kept going back to sleep and waking up with it in my head again.
Now I've been listening to it instead >.>

I'm aiming for a sort of sci-fi detective-y type thing. The story is going to be based round some mysterious events at a weather research facility. Culminating in the deaths of everyone there. I've only done 3 pages (book sized pages) so far, but it's something I've been thinking about doing for a few months. Actually over a year, but I decided to try my hand at some fan-fiction, with the intent of making it a play or something. I can imagine it turning out a bit like Pertwee-era doctor who. But with less aliens.
I decided to start doing it today, because I was on a bus with next to no room, and my new phone has google docs on it, so I cracked it out and got to work (lol innuendo). Unfortunately , it's ridiculously difficult to type fast using a touchscreen keyboard on a small screen when the bus is constantly swaying and bumping. I only got a paragraph and a half written in 50 minutes!
But yeah, my first novel, and my first time with google docs too. I'm liking it so far (docs that is. I like how it saves for me, I can access it from my phone or laptop, and I can invite others to look at it and edit/make notes.).
But yeah, If I have any questions, I'll be sure to ask.
Actually I want to check something. With a name like "Lewis", if something belongs to them, is it "Lewis' " or "Lewis's". I've gone for the former so far, but i'm not overly certain.

Sounds like something i'd read, keep us all posted!
Smartphones are good wee organisers but I use mine more to jot down ideas, notes, reminders things as opposed to full-blown projects. But if inspiration strikes it's always there ready and willing. You really can't beat pen and paper at the end of the day though.
I don't know much about grammar i'm afraid, that's what editors (and Daishi) are for!

Yeah, I had a book that I bought for my fan-scripts that I'll probably go back to using once my free internet runs out. I'm stingy like that!
Thanks for the support though. And Daishi: Thanks for the advice. I think I'll go with "Lewis's". It seems more natural.
Either that, or change his name to something not ending in an s!

The quick rule is, if it ends with an S and is plural, then you only add an apostrophe. Otherwise, apostrophe+S. So plurals that don't end with an S or singulars that do still take the extra S ("people's", "Ross's")
The guide actually tells you that yes, it's "Luis's" or "Lewis's". Although it lists useful exceptions, usually words that already end with an "-iz" sound so you don't pronounce an extra "-iz", and therefore don't spell it either (with the extra S).
Still sick. Still miserable. Still not yet dead. Just so you guys know.
Aww...Guru, take care of yourself. I think it's time to upgrade to the next level of illness treatment: Lots of gatorade, a hot water bottle, and a humidifier. Don't put the gatorade in the water bottle or the humidifier. It will probably still work, but it will be much more expensive and sticky.
I tried the Gatorade. Unfortunately, my sense of taste is almost (but not quite entirely) gone, so what portion of it I was able to taste was nasty. Which has been the case with a lot of things lately. This morning, I had bacon and scrambled eggs. I couldn't taste anything, and the texture of the eggs was just wrong without the flavor. Tonight, my dad wanted tacos for dinner. I couldn't taste anything, but felt the spiciness of it in the back of my throat.
I think I'm going to make myself another cup of tea and settle in front of the TV for some more Assassin's Creed.
By the way, I'm nearly on my fourth box of lotion tissues. Which means I've blown my nose roughly 520 times in the past few days. Even with the lotion tissues, my nose is freaking raw.

Well, the idea with the Gatorade is to primarily keep the electrolytes in your system. With all the nose-blowing, you lose a lot of salts, which makes you feel even worse. You can alleviate that by drinking things with lots of salts in them, like Gatorade or chicken soup. Tea probably helps as well, though. And I've never had anything go wrong with a hot water bottle. You want to stay as warm as possible so that your body doesn't have to expend energy to do so.
I'll give the Gatorade another shot. No promises. And I feel like I've been sweating constantly for two days, so a hot water bottle sounds miserable. Also, I don't think we have one. Or a humidifier.

Well, drinking a lot is really the best thing to do besides not being active. And keeping warm is an especially good idea if you have a fever or any type of sore throat. I can't remember if you said that or not.

You say this, and the first thing that come to my mind is the Mr. Bucket song for some reason.
This guide tells me otherwise:

That's the second biggest walkman I've ever seen!

And now that you're intensely pondering that bit of nonsensical wisdom, I shall steal all your stuff.

You are my favorite person ever today.
