The 3DS version of Blazblue is not as good as it should be...
Plays fine, except for the lack of slide pad support
Fortunately someone put in a input support function which makes it so that quarter turns become down, right or left so once thats on, the game becomes so much better to play.
About a month and a half ago, the gear thing that connects the transmission and motor in my washing machine broke, causing it to have no spin cycle and rendering the machine unusable. It took about a week to have a guy come out and fix it.
About a month ago, my dad noticed that the agitator in the washing machine wasn't working. Turns out that the dogs wore out and broke into tiny pieces. The washing machine was out of commission for the weekend until my mom and I could get to an appliance part store on Monday.
Today, the heating element in the dryer broke, while the load inside contained every last pair of socks I own, except the ones I'm wearing, and the left one has a hole in the heel. Now we can't dry clothes until I get a new heating element tomorrow.
Am I just not supposed to have clean clothes or something?

Y'know, sometimes it's better to just go looking for some new ones. They have some interesting features these days.
Am I the only one who misses Morgan LeFlay? Not the Monkey Island series, just Morgan LeFlay. For a support character of the series, she's the one I grew most fond of. She was like, every single fanboy, er, fangirl combined into one innocent little girl who could cut you up like something that can be cut up. Basically I want her as my girlfriend. I mean, somebody like her. Only with glasses. Well, if it's her then glasses are optional.

Naw. For as inexpensive as these fixes are, it's not worth throwing out a perfectly good machine and getting a new one. A heating element is just like a huge lightbulb coil. It wears out and breaks eventually, and then you have to replace it. No sense in chucking the dryer. The agitator dogs were just four little pieces of plastic that cost us $8 and were extremely simple to install.
The only really costly repair was the transmission gear, and it was still a cheap part, it was just located in a difficult spot in the motor and we had to have someone come out and repair it, and even then, it was only about $150. I certainly couldn't get a washing machine as good as the one I have for that much.

Honestly, I think that older machines are a bit sturdier than the new ones anyways. My family has had the same washer for nearly twenty years, though we did have to get a "new" dryer a few years back when the old one just became unfixable. And by "new," I mean used but new for us.
Get out into the sun more and pick up your exercise routine. Also eat plenty of fruit, especially berries, and cut down on meat.
How is that going to fix the exposure of "The traditional Thanksgiving" idea and the tons of commercial "Christmas Cheer" I'll be exposed to even AFTER I've unplugged and packed away my TV and un-bookmarked a few streaming and gaming web sites that I know will feature holiday-related content?
God help me if I get a seasonal job and have to endure the 24 hour muzak versions of Christmas songs while I help customers gift wrap or deal with their layaway purchases or try to find the employee with the case keys so they can get the Harry Potter Blu-rays before Dec. 24th ends...
So I've been playing some more Blazblue on my 3DS.
And even though I put that input support on, I still am struggling to pull off some combos.
I mean, yeah they are hard on the console version too, but I'm struggling to do even basic combos.
How on earth you are supposed to beat all 10 challenges for each character is beyond me!
But I shouldn't be too hard on the game, afterall despite the control issues, the lacklustre 3D, and the lack of online play, its still got plenty of content like its console counterpart.
But it is a very good example of a lazy port, (it doesn't even have sleep mode!), and future devs should learn from it.
(I'd suggest DOA: Dimensions and Super Street Fighter 4 anyday over this, as those are great ports)
Did you bother reading any reviews on this before buying it?
Yeah I did.
But I bought it for about £20 (most 3DS games are in the £30-35 range on release), and I wanted to confirm the reviews of it for myself.
(Since to be fair, the gaming press has become much more biased these days, and user reviews can be pretty bipolar, (though I normally go by these myself))
Its still good, and its nice to have a collection of fighters on the go.
Plus there are much, much worse games on the 3DS at the moment. I just want to make sure I get a nice collection of good games going
(Which I do have: DOA Dimensions, SSF4 3D, Ocarina of Time 3D (with OST), BlazeBlue CS v2, Samurai Warrior Chronicles, Ghost Recon Shadow Wars and Starfox 64 3D)
Its going to last me much longer than DOA: Dimensions did! (Single Player-wise).
I'm just a little disappointed at Arc System Works that they still haven't ensured their portable versions of their games are to the best standard.
(Its still one of the best of their ports. Their spin off Blazblue game, and their guilty gear ports and spin offs are just poor)
Oh well, Super Mario 3D Land, Sonic Generations, and Mario Kart 7 are around the corner, so there is still a lot of good stuff to get for the 3DS.
I wish I had friends in the press who could spin the smallest little banning into a whirlwind of negative press to make EA look bad. But then again, I'm not Germany.

Now the real question is: Have you incorporated Dalek bump technology yet?
Psh. That wasn't canon. /nerd
Besides, Comrade Mortis has the Dalek bumps between the two of us. :P
I've often suspected as much.
Seasonal Affective Disorder, or S.A.D.

Man I love to play as Taokaka!
I am way to amused by this acronym.
Heh.
I just get flatout ignored! XD
(I mean who couldn't see a 6 foot 1 fat man, that dresses awkwardly and carries a MASSIVE heavy sidebag)
I have to think the doctor who coined it chuckled slightly as he did.
Can it have a Comrade Pants sidestory? You know, like the News Stand in Watchmen?
If you get a sidestory, then I want at least a cameo.
You can be the kid who always read the pirate comics but never bought them.
That does sound like something that Younger!Me would have done.

Make all the printers misbehave, and everyone will notice you.
Oh, you meant in a good way? Put on a sheet and wander around yelling, "BOO!"
Y'know, sometimes it's better to just go looking for some new ones. They have some interesting features these days.
I'mma put these on signs all over my Minecrap server.
Oh man, I am so turned on right now.
What?! Who said that?!
Duuude, no way! Excellent! Outstanding!

So methinks I'll go with a hand-pixelled awesome face.

EDIT: Woah!
I had a little bit of a shock just then.
My little bro normally borrows old cartoon DVDs from the library each week, but this week he has pleasantly suprised me.
He brought back anime, and not just any anime.
Studio Ghibli anime!
A DVD of Princess Mononoke
I definately look forward to either watching it with him, or pinching it for myself in the weekend!
