Yep! A4 in the UK and Oz, "letter" in the US. Difference is subtle but noticeable.
"Letter"(8½x11") is definitely the most common, but you can pretty easily get A4 paper at pretty much any office supply store. You'll probably only see "Letter" size at most general purpose stores or places with really small selection, though. I know about the A4 size, but I didn't realize it was the standard overseas.

Dashing has the right of it. Crash course in candy bars (or chocolate bars if you will):

So a US 3 Musketeers is basically a chocolate flavored UK Milky Way?

Also, nougat + caramel + peanuts = Snickers - peanuts = Milky Way - nougat = Milky Way Simply Caramel

People who like Snickers but want nougat and peanuts, caramel and peanuts, just nougat, or just peanuts are out of luck.

Who knew candy could confuse me so much? I'll just stick with Aero bars, I'm sure there can't be confusion there. Except those arent sold in the US.

I'd totally make a trip to Canada just to get some Aero bars. Those things are good.

They must be certified Doctor-picked lottery tickets. i.e. they bettar be winnars. Also, I suppose used lottery tickets can be allowed in the "something borrowed" category. Though I suppose the TARDIS can carry all the categories.

We must be wed in a TARDIS.

    I read that. I cried...

I laughed. To date, it's still probably my favorite ComicsNix fic ever just for the absurdity factor. And the hilarious misspellings.

I personally thought it was a beautiful story about a child(mentally a toddler) being taught about her sexuality by a irate Potions professor. I only wish Barney and the Sesame Street gang could have joined in, it would have really completed the work and hammered in the resonating message that I think we can all relate to.

Wait a minute. We have Mars Bars in the U.S. as well. Of course, once again, their composition is different.

    mmmmMMMMMMmmmmMHHHH!!

I just make myself a scrummy bacon and cheese omelette.

It didn't come out in one piece, (mostly due to our frying pan being dodgy (needs replacing)), but it sure was delicious.

The eggs and the bacon needed using up so I thought, why not?

Do share the detail. I won't be able to sleep tonight thinking my knowledge of chocolately caramelly nougaty confections is incomplete.

Huh. According to the Wikipedia page for Mars Bars, we totally do have a version of the Mars Bar. Reintroduced last year after being discontinued in 2002.
    Wikipedia wrote:
In the United States, a different confection bears the Mars bar name. Featuring nougat, soft caramel, and almonds coated in milk chocolate, the American Mars bar was relaunched in 2010 after being discontinued in 2002.
This variety is apparently sold "exclusively" at Wal-Marts, which is probably why I've never seen the things.

THE FUN PART OF OWNING A SMALL SANDWICH SHOP WITH A COCA-COLA CONTRACT

Coke is using us to test products again! The last product we tested was Coke BLACK, which was eventually renamed to Coke Zero when I and others said the name was a bit "racist" for the south.

This week? We are testing a new mixture formula featuring Mexican sugar cane!!

My opinion? It's slightly sweeter, but I don't see much of a difference.

Further confirmation! Although now I have to modify my previous statement on seeing them to "Once at a Wal-mart one year ago."

I love that there it a conversation about candy on Halloween. It really fits well.
Damn, I want an Aero bar. I have to check my candy stash now.

Edit: I still had one, I feel good now.

Mars Bars be darned, my favorite chocolate bar is Almond Joy. Coconut FTW.

Also, one of my classmates is dressed as Marty Mc Fly. Why didn't I pull out my Doc costume again?

Is there any job that can be had with a Women's Studies degree in this economy? It seems like a bad move to rack up $70,000 worth of debt to get one. The same can be said for...

    Men's Studies
    Child and Family Studies
    Art History
    and much, much more!

It just doesn't seem like there are actual, paying jobs that can be had with these degrees (outside of academia and teaching) and on the whole they seem to be an academic waterhead fuckaround. Opinions?

Well, you can gain an additional qualification and use it to become a secondary school teacher.

I'm just sad that I have to spend Halloween studying for my midterm. As a result I've decided that for Halloween I will either be metabolism, a workaholic, or nihilism depending on who asks me.

I've just gone as "disheveled brokenheated graduate student". And only six people recognized me as the Tenth Doctor on Saturday's party. The BRITISH guys didn't get it. Everybody thought I was from Men in Black. Shame!

Weird. At the waltz that I went to on Saturday there was both an Eleventh Doctor, Tenth Doctor, and Astrid. I was really wishing I'd come as the Ninth Doctor by the end...

Personally, my comfort consumable of choice at the moment is Diet Pepsi. Yes, I'm boring, but I also can't seem to stop drinking it.
