It would be nice if a few of the guys at Telltale took a day or so to make the poster for 303 so it can be released BEFORE the ep. itself came out.
But that's if they put it as a higher priority and get it done soon.

I just noticed Sam has 5 o'clock shadow in the screenshot, it seems strange that he woud grow that in under a day.
The reason WHY it is called 5 o'clock shadow is that, when you shave every day, and you shaved that morning, it grows that way by 5 o'clock that evening. So, by definition, it DOES grow in under a day in real life.
He's always had three, at least in the comics. I know little Sam just had one in 202 and 204.
*checks Surfin' the Highway* ... Whoops! Yep, you're right. Looking at The Big Sleep, I think that's where I got the idea he only had two, along with drawing him that way myself for so long. I'll be over in the corner later, giving my eye for detail a few good pokes.
The way I see it, he's got short fur there, and can grow a beard that's longer and as a result it looks darker. Because it's longer so it creates more shadow! Perfectly logical.

He is just wondering how he cuts it without cutting off the rest of his hair there. My guess is that he meticulously trims it EVERYDAY, but I don't know how correct that is.

Well, on the off-chance he isn't our Sam -- and I'm almost positive he is -- having a noir-esque doppelganger running around would make for an easy transition into the clone plot thread for Episode 4. Although what little we've seen of the clones so far makes them look like complete dopes. (On the other hand, the two don't have to be mutually exclusive, if things are twisted a bit further. Hmm ... )

The exactly thing you just said. In fact, I'm somewhat hoping those clones have, in some way, a diferent version of Sam's personality each one, and the Noir!Sam desing (AND Sameth's, but the film thingie was totally unexpected and awesome) was feeding my hopes about it. Trust me, I fully support the classes with Flint Paper he looks like he will have, but at the same time, I was thinking in something different. Either way, I'm sure is going to be awesome =P.
Could the picture be showing Flint Paper in Sam's body? Perhaps body-swapping will be a theme in this ep. Therefore Sam will be solving the case with Max in Skunkape's body, perhaps?

I am surprised, though. Wouldn't have expected the noir style thing to really be a major focus until the season finale.
I know the NYC angle's really being played up this season, but still...'The City That Dares Not Sleep' really seems to be screaming 'noir' with a title like that.

All the future visions show him the same and it seems unlike Telltale to make the game so dark this early in what so far has been quite a lighthearted season if grittier than usual.
