Countdown to Ep 3 - "They Stole Max's Brain!"

Hey, all. Mike Stemmle here.
With Episode 303 making the final turn before hitting the virtual streets, now seems like a good time for a "members only"* thread in which Joe Pinney and I open up the floor to a few questions about the episode.
What can I tell y'all about this ep? It's got:
- Sam as you've never seen him!
- Max taking charge of an investigation!
- Hot Ape-on-Cockroach action!
- More rhinoplastying than you can shake a stick at!
- Sam's surprising new partner!
Consider the floodgates open,

For my first question:
Will we be seeing any new characters that aren't in the villains line-up in this episode?
One new guy will have a familiar voice.
Another new guy will have a familiar body.
And one guy you THINK is a villain really isn't (or IS he?)
Mike
-Well DUH! He doesn't have max.
-Oh wait nevermind. AWESOME!
-I dont need more of this. Never click on a link from omegle...
-Oh wow I thought Rhinoplasty was a joke. Curious to see what can be done with it that will be hard. It will literally become a "Rub on evereything tool". Im hopefull I will be suprised.
- Oh lawdy he betta not be talkin bout no moleman cultist Nu-uh.
Cant wait!
Hi!
YAY!
AWESOME!
OH MY GOD
*Head tilting to one side, with just one eye functioning*
Who's need a stick for do that? I have FISTS! (Oh, wait)
(...)
Shiiiiiiiiii, I mean, YES!
If this episode was a delicious beverage, exactly what kind would it be and why?
Either you're drawing undue attention to reuse of character models and voice actors, or we get someone else in Max's body (maybe)!
o_O
You were responsible for my favourite joke in the previous episode, so I'm ok with this.
1. Any new powers (or any besides rhinoplasty)?
2. Will this episode have two storylines (one for Sam, one for Max) that you can switch between?
I'm afraid to ask which one, especially since I don't THINK I wrote any linesfor 302.
The ventriloquism "beans" joke on the Disorient Express - Andy Hartzell blamed it on credited it to you. Whoever wrote it, it was awesomely juvenile.
Sam and Max pretty much share the same storyline (at least, I think they do... I mean, it's possible that Max is secretly having some sort of magical fantasy adventure with elves and dragons that represent his various abandonment issues, but that's not very likely), so we won't be juggling multiple storylines this time around. That said, we probably will be going back into Max mode. Of course, without a brain, Max Mode might be a little, um, vacant.
Totally sure you wanna know?
I'm pretty sure I'm not gonna like the answer either
Abandonment issues? *SLAP Myself*
Now you say that, How we going to use the psychic powers if Max doesn't have a brain? (By the way, if Rhinoplasty is back, is also back Mind Reading?)
Hmmm. Fart jokes accompanied by over-explanation. Sounds like me.
1) Yes, how WILL he use psychic powers without a brain? Of course, we're all assuming Max's psychic powers come from his brain to begin with... maybe they're lodged in his knees or something...
2) Mind reading? When did we ever promise mind reading? Oh yeah... maybe we should get back to that power before the season ends.
Someone stole Max's brain. In most states, that's a crime. It stands to reason that the Crime-Tron will put in an appearance.
Mike "No, I'm not going to list the states where it's NOT a crime" Stemmle
Can those powers been psychic to begin with if they don't come up from his brain?
Awww.... I loved the 3 lines of Sam while reading his brain... and also Gordon's. But, will be back, right? RIGHT?
Ginny "Happy to not live in a country with a Federal System when talking about listing crimes in states thing" N
PS: Sorry, I couldn't resist
1: Besides Rhinoplasty, will we get anything else?
2: Will we see more locations and less recycled things?
3: Will Max be able to control his powers as a bodyless brain?
4: Is Sam's new partner... A MONKEY?!?!
I'm betting is a simian
Isn't a simian one of those chimps that Jane Goodall went out with in the 80s?
I think the difference goes with Monkeys have tail and simian don't. Yes, I think some simians are those.
Surely that would have to be...
On second thought, let's hope not.
I was thinking the same.
I understand that most of these probably won't get answered because they give too much away but any reasonable stab at them will be appreciated. Thanks!
In Tales of Monkey Island you
The question is: why are you trying to disintegrate the whole adventure genre?
I like it when main characters die or lose their brains. It enhances the drama and epic storylines that all fall into each other as the Episodes go on.
Skunkape on sal or...
There are definitely some smaller locations, yes.
Well, he's a giant talking cockroach, so his range is a little limited. I mean, we tried him out for Hamlet, but it really didn't work.
You mean, like narrating OTHER stories? That'd be weird.
You can't keep a bad ape down.
Ah, I think I see where we're tripping each other up. I tend to think of the "storyline" as being separate from "player I'm currently controlling." To answer your question less coyly, yes, you'll be switching back and forth between Sam and Max again in 303.
I'm not sure. I just know it's shooting through the approval processes like excrement through a goose on laxatives.
