    I love that one.

Interesting to note is 2 of them (apparently from the start) he doesn't have the unshaven look, like he has in the previous screen and with Skun-Ka'pe.

It's in the other two -- it's just harder to see due to the darker lighting and the film grain effect. Also, that's one of Skun-ka'pe's "research assistants," not Skun-ka'pe himself.

I'm in love with Sam right now

I wonder what the game developers etc. think of the massive fangirling over Noir Sam?
  • edited June 2010
hopefully he keeps the coat and hat off until 305!

They probably regard it as vicarious fangirling over themselves.

I have a question: Who got the great* idea of remove Max's Brain so Sam could get character development? Or was you decided to remove Max's Brain and then notice Sam could get character development? Or you made a some sort of bullet point about what you want to do in the season and there was "Sam get character development" or something like that? (Also, who got that idea of put him in shirtsleeves for this episode?)

    *It's not an irony

it could have been inspired by a Bad Day On the Moon, where Max actually dies and his spirit lives on Sam's body for a while. It was the first thing that crossed my mind when i read the title of the chapter.

But anyway, its not like Sam didn't have character development, he was the "main" character so far, since you only directly controlled him until season 3.

I don't think Max is living on in this Episode, I think he's in a jar, possibly in Alaska.

Max will be 'taking charge of an investigation' in this episode.
We don't have enough information yet to make judgement but it looks like it may actually be Max we control in this episode despite the pictures and the fact that he is lacking a brain!

    sam without max = s

No, it would be s-x. Maybe thats the reason for all the fangirling

My logic went something like this:
    S + A + M - (M + A + X) = S - X + A - A + M -M = S - X

Sure- its a stretch, but it was for a good cause (or at least a cause)

It would be S&F (Sam and Flint).

I was hoping Sam would partner up with a psycho monkey, I spent all this time drawing Max, and removing his old features and putting monkey fur and such on him, only to have it ruined by Flint Paper... Aw well, I have a feeling he dies in 303 anyway :).

@ttg_Stemmle Members Only jackets aren't really that great (What are those weird straps for anyway?), could we have cookies instead?

What varieties do non-ttg Stemmles come in?

Wait, this forum is still open? o_O

I have no idea what any of this stuff is supposed to mean barring the last line

F*** me I love those shots! Makes for some groundbreaking unleashing of the wilder side of Sam's character I don't think we've seen anything of (except for that taste near the end of 205). Some interesting ideas darting around, like Sam running rampant while we control Max's brain and one using Max's body while controlling Sam. I don't know which camp I'm in but I can say now I'm extremely stoked for the next episode!

    @The Highway
    Hey, all. Mike Stemmle here.

With Episode 303 making the final turn before hitting the virtual streets, now seems like a good time for a "members only"* thread in which Joe Pinney and I open up the floor to a few questions about the episode.

    * We should have jackets!

Members Only was a brand of jackets popular in the 80's, and someone apparently revitalized the brand recently. One of the jackets trademarks were "passants" a.k.a. those weird, buttoned straps people put on shirts sometimes.

I've also always thought Mike's user name was kind of funny. You know, calling himself ttg_stemmle as though we'd confuse him with all the other stemmles on the forums. So then I imagined stemmles come in assorted flavors, like cherry_yoghurt_stemmle and iron_man_competitor_stemmle and stemmle_for_ipad or something.

    Basically, I'm weird.

Well, doesn't he always sign while specifying which type of Stemmle he is? (At least he did in the post you quoted).
I still have no clue how to pronounce his name by the way. Do you insert a schwa somewhere or not?

Yes he's also posted on here with the names, Posh Stemmle, Sporty Stemmle, Scary Stemmle and Papa Stemmle.:D

It's apparently pronounced "STEM-lee", as in, "Stemmle! Fetch me my boomerang! Tonight we hunt the deadliest game of all ... wombats!"

So what I'm basically saying is that Stemmle would be a good name for a head henchman. And wombats are tougher than they look.
  • edited June 2010
Mmh, I think I'll try to remember "Stan Lee", then.

This would've been a perfect Li'l Stiny reference.

Yeah, I know it's "Stem-lee" now, but I still "pronounce" "steml" (one syllable) in my head before I correct myself, because that's how you'd pronounce it in French.
