  • This was really good and worth the wait :) The "Hold it asshole" part made me jump.

Very Good! Although, if you can, you may want to have a friend read through your scripts, or just read them aloud to yourself. It can help you catch mistakes. For example "You peered through the trees to see a parking lot, and a few buildings you must have been at the town. But what made you more fearful were the site of a couple of slowly decapitating walkers wandering the parking lot." I think you meant to say "You peered through the trees to see a parking lot and a few buildings, you must have been at the town. But what made you more fearful was the sight of a couple of ??? (I'm not quite sure what you meant by slowly decapitating walkers). Looking forward to Episode 2!

  • It's fine, I was just getting used to writing on a new sort of software. I'll try to avoid messing up my English next time, but I appreciate the help :D

This is a cool idea. I'D be happy to do any proofreading if you need help. I have done it before for various authors. Not any indication on here obviously...typing with s tablet is hard.

  • Yeah I messed up on the English quite a lot, sorry about that. I'm glad you enjoyed the episode and I'll try my best to make sure this doesn't happen in the future :D

  • Damn, that was really good, can't wait for the next episode! Laura died in my playthrough, I'm interested how things will turn out in the next episode.

BTW, Telltale should hire you to join the writers team for Season 3 of the game, you're so good :D

  • Oh my god thank you so much! :D

  • Wow HarijK, I really enjoyed the game. I am wondering about the other alternative endings that took place, so I am going to go back and replay it all over again. This is really impressive, and I like how you added the gun sound effects ( from TWD ) into the text based game. I was only able to download the theme songs (like Armed for Death, Alive inside) without anything special. One time I tried to use telltale speech extractor to see if I could fool around with the voices a bit, but I wasn't able to extract anything :S

Anyway, I hope everybody enjoyed the game because I know I definitely did. Looking forward into episode 2 (and episode 5 of twd season 2 xD). Until next time.

this was fucking great. but i found it pretty weird, that if you tell him to keep to gun, after the asshole gets shot, john says were a team, but how come he didn't help me when i was trapped under walkers, Kenny saves Lee in "a new day" even though you leave his son to die and suggest to throw his son out to the walkers, but other than that is was amazing, i can't wait for episode 2 :)

  • did anybody tell john to give the asshole the gun, or did you sacrifice yourself, tell why please

i told john to save himself i figured he would have killed us both if i had given him the gun, cuz we would be defenseless

I voted that Laura died in my group even though she's just got bitten.

  • What theme played when John was asking you questions in the beginning?

  • I told john to save himself also as i knew that without a gun we would have been screwed later on anyway without a weapon (which we would have been considering what happens with zombies later in the episode)

  • It depends on what you say to him.

If you tell him your name, say you're from savannah or be silent then what I call "Sarah's Theme" starts playing. It plays early on in "A House Divided". Though I don't seem to remember what the actual music is called. If you tell him you're just "lost" then the "Dialogue" theme plays. I used the 'Telltale Explorer' to get into the game files and get this music. :D

  • Thank you :D

By "trapped under walkers" I think you mean the part where you were surrounded near the alleyway? This part I found was essential. I wanted players to feel independent, like they weren't constantly being guided around by John all the time, and this means fending for themselves. John was far too busy trying to escape the walkers to notice that you weren't beside him. This is going to be a running theme, where sometimes you have to defend yourself, otherwise you die.

It's also to do with trust. I didn't want players liking or trusting John too much. He is a guy you can depend on. But for how long? So I had Laura, Steve and John pretty much almost ditch the player whilst the were surrounded.

Your choices can grab their attention.

If you stab the walker, they don't hear you and you rush to them only to either help defend the alleyway or help Laura search for an escape route.

If you shoot the walker, Steve, John and Laura hear you. Steve and John then try to shoot the walkers around you and help you. But they run out of ammo and won't be able to defend the alleyway, so you end up trapped before you can "escape".

  • Also, how did you do the scenes where Steve and laura were shooting and the Car Alarm scene? That was REALLY impressive!

  • That's okay and if you mean how I did scenes with the 'Car Alarm', 'The Alleyway' and all sorts. It took a while. I had to learn how to use Audacity, then I would try to read and sync and put different sound effects and music together. I'm so glad you like it :D

  • Just played the episode, really enjoyed it. Great job! Can't wait for the second part.

But the sound didn't work for me even in Internet Explorer, so where can I download this Quest software?

  • Oh god, remember when I said you might get banned? Now you might get into copyright trouble because you took copyrighted material from telltales game and put it in your game which you didn't have permission for and now you're posting it all over this thread that you did it and how you did it O_O
