  • Good question, bro. I'm still asking it myself. I guess their fear of Kenny controlled their minds.

I don't think they have left, they seem to be sorting out every other problem such as the dude saying that he had a screenshot of game of thrones or something.

It's....sigh, it's difficult, because I don't want to have a go at the mods because they're volunteers and stuff. It's just...

On the other forum I frequent, the Bioware forum, if someone made a thread saying they enjoyed watching someone die and wish it had been more brutal, it would be closed within 10 minutes.

But these mods don't respond to posts which are simply inflammatory and nothing else even if you report them.

Maybe it's because Bioware (I think) pay their mods, or at least the head mods.

Telltale don't have ANY members of staff who are actively on the forum. Puzzlebox posts a couple of times a week but hardly ever to sort out issues like this.

It's just a bit...disappointing really. I mean, as a result, the bioware forums are a much nicer place to discuss.

A serious question... What happened to the moderators again? I heard something like they left, why is that again?

Bonnie really cared about Clementine, she knew she was just a kid dealing with a ton of bullshit and acted accordingly. Plus she gave her that awesome jacket, her first cigarette and a few words of useful advice ("You should start to think about what you want."). I could never kill her.

But yeah, fuck Arvo. He deserves the Troy treatment.

  • I don't go to long dramatic rants about Jane or anything, but I have said that some choices in game disgust me when it comes to siding with Jane. I liked her fine until she did the ending spiel. My biggest issue is that so many people on the forum and on walkthroughs on YouTube chose Jane when Kenny's ending was better and it just felt like "No duh I'd chose that option." To shoot Kenny for being in a blind rage over someone killing his adopted child after everything he's been through? We're in the world of the Walking Dead where dead people eat everything they see, and THIS makes people feel the need to act? Kenny being a human being to a woman who acted like she didn't care about anything except randomly Clem after ONE episode?

That's my issue. The way most people are siding with Jane is just annoying to me. It's like people have no sense of forgiveness or understanding for Kenny, and as a character, that insults him to me. I feel his character deserves more respect than this crap.

  • I don't understand why people have to insult others over a bunch of pixels made on a computer. :c It really says something about humans that they would treat fictional characters like gods but tell real people to go hurt themselves or call them curse words over a video game..

Your post actually sums up why I'm getting very frustrated with the forums.

You're getting angry simply about the fact that people sided with Jane. They 'disgust you'? 'Disgust' you?

    Alt text

You think people who don't side with Kenny just 'don't understand' or are incapable of 'forgiveness'. Like you're some kind of holy enlightener who needs to make people see the error of their ways.

They may have completely understood and be willing to forgive Kenny, but are NOT willing to let him murder someone.

    And that is FINE.

What if people were just tired of having to watch out for him in every single episode? What if people HAVE thought about it, and they just simply don't agree?

Also 'Kenny's ending was better' = NO. Neither ending is 'better'. That's just your opinion, and in no way fact.

I don't go to long dramatic rants about Jane or anything, but I have said that some choices in game disgust me when it comes to siding with

  • Seeing as how now you're giving the exact attitude that you apparently think the forums are being ruined by, only now directed to my opinion which you don't agree with... I'm going to pretend you aren't being a hypocrite by telling me to stop venting what I thought of the game on the game's official forums. Yes, it does indeed disgust me. I am not a holy being of enlightenment but I know when a character is good and deserves more of a chance than the amount of people who are choosing Jane. This game flares emotions and thoughts, thus the point of it, and this is my opinion as well as anyone else's. Insisting that people quit bickering over what they think is right is just being a killjoy. How else do we discuss what we thought and how it made us feel and how other people's reactions relate to our own?

The point of this entire thread seems very unhelpful and it's only causing more fights. So I'm going to try to walk away now without anymore drama and continue to state what I think on the place I'm supposed to state it.

No, dude, I'm not giving you the attitude I think the forums are ruined by.

I think the forums are ruined by people saying there is one 'right' choice, or people calling each other names as insults.

I didn't do either of those two things.

I wasn't telling you off for expressing your opinion, I was telling you off for saying people 'disgust' you if they pick Jane.

That's pretty close to a personal insult in my book. People are disgusting to you because they made a different choice.

Seeing as how now you're giving the exact attitude that you apparently think the forums are being ruined by, only now directed to my opinion

  • Well I don't mean to be causing an argument or any tension. Really, I'm not. I'm just a person who loves stories, characters, and was attracted to this game for them, and now I'm just saying my opinions of why I thought it just goes completely over my head and how I personally think for so many people to chose her. Is it the right choice? No but this game is all about all choices having consequences so I'm not saying my way was the BEST, it just felt deeper to me. I actually cried at Kenny's ending, Jane's... I felt a bit empty and guilty.

I apologize for creating tension, but this particular discussion had me debating my ass off as to why I believe Kenny's ending was the better one in more ways than one. And unfortunately you don't believe in what I think, so sorry.

  • Totally agree with you. Why can't people just discuss like civilized people about their opinions? I mean, eveyone have different ways to see things and their is absolutely no good or bad choice (or "canon" ending) in this game; it's the all point to have different playthrough depending on how the players reacts.

I am to the point where I almost never post my opinions because I know there will always be someone to violently argue with me...

Kenny fans, Jane fans... It doesn't matter, we are TWD fans. And we should be discussing on how great this game is instead of being at eachover's throat.

  • Dude, I've seen you comment in a lot of threads, and please don't leave the forum... in most threads, your comments are like an island of reasonable human behaviour in a sea of gratuitous, hateful insults.

Flog61poplee, for being civil in your approaches. To use a Biblical perspective in your point of argumentation is futile if you're going to be bias in your collective viewpoint. To come to the conclusion that Jane is a "bad choice" based on lawless actions, then to come to the conclusion that Kenny is a bad one based on the same, is as equally true, because of their immoral behavior shown to us several times throughout our tenure with them. To show partiality towards Ken or Jane is a clouded judgement that holds no weight whatsoever in a proper debate as to what's the "right" or "wrong" choice, which can't be said due to the unknownness of the outcome of choosing Ken over Jane or her over him. Why can't more people be comprehensive of the simplicity of the fact of this, instead of being so consumed with their predisposition to disregard blatant truth? I'm not trying to start arguing with anyone at all, but the constant bickering over opinions on video game characters, is odd to say the least.

    P. S. In the end, I am with Kenny, so my opinion isn't bias at all.

First off, You are right on personal insults. Attacking the individual person for their opinions is only detrimental to the overall topic being discussed, and the environment of the message board itself. While it may be an ultimately futile point to make in the land of the internet, asking people to remain civil in their discussions is at least a noble goal to strive for. =P

Second, despite some people getting overly heated, debates are a part of what these message boards are about, and what keep the spirit of the game alive. That there are so many impassioned people on these forums arguing (and even insulting people) for their favorite character is testement to the special effect the game had on them to begin with. Had the game been underwhelming, I'm sure there would be an overwhelming number of those kinds of topics on this board, if it didn't just remain empty.

Arguing itself is not bad. Despite how some people can react in their posts, I'm adult enough to handle their barbs, and I'm not about to stop arguing for my character against another person's point because I want to have a bit of a heated argument. That's a part of the reason I'm here in the first place, to see other people's reactions to the events that unfolded, and discuss and argue the character motivations throughout. I can deal with someone insulting me over the internet. Their petty hissy fits aren't going to keep me from the board altogether.

That all said, I'm glad there are people on here willing not to sink to the level some of the others seem to think is the standard.

  • I'm actually quite sure that we do not all agree on that, good sir. But I'm not about to derail the topic by posting paragraphs trying to see things from their point of view. Just a heads up if it comes up in another thread. =P
