But after reading that article on Erika, are you saying Luke's brain and other stuff are frozen and he is dead, but he can come back to life by being warmed up? By the ice putting is body and brain into suspended animation?
If by a miracle that happened...I'm not sure, I'd have to look it up since I don't know the full details with that [I think they sometimes g… moreive drugs to help, maybe]. But from several cases of drowning in really cold water or a kid's body freezing solid out in the cold, the body has to be warmed up again for CPR to be more effective since in those circumstances your body is in a state of hibernation and your system needs to be woken out of it. I guess it's sort of like how some animals systems shut down for the winter or survive being frozen [this is mostly frogs and such, but mammals like bears hibernate too.] for humans this type of thing appears to work only temporary, after about an hour or so chances for that person's survival and making a full recover are pretty weak, although there have been a few freak incidents where people have survived longer than that without a heartbeat.

its 50/50 Kenny was suppose to be dead but tell tale changed their minds and brought him back in season 2 so were in that 50/50 part again so its up to tell tale on that whether they bring him back or not
Well I wouldn't use the term frozen, but definitely the cold would delay the whole zombie turning thing if that's what you mean. Conditions like that would slows organ failure and the decomposition [hence why with organ translates they're put on ice]. Cases like Anna Bagenholm might be a better one to compare to, since in the two cases I did find on that where the body is frozen yet they still survive, the cases were both infants and the effects of the cold might differ for children because of their size. It's all a confusing mystery.
And no, by the summer time he'd be dead. The cold would only help for a while, in the end I think the freezing temperatures might eventually destroy the cells rather preserve them. There have been people that had paid lots of money so that when they die they can be put on ice in hopes of being brought back to life or cure of their illness, but it's more like a bottle into the ocean type of thing, because there's no guarantee they'll ever come back, and also if I recall in that documentary about it, they'd still have to deal with the effects the damage done from being put in a deep freeze.
So let's just sum it up like this: Luke has a window, a very smaaall window that doesn't let much light in, but the window exists.
I'm so late on this...

I'll just say that this is Telltale's fault for bringing Kenny back in the first place. It only gave fuel to the folks who were already in denial about Lee's death.
He's dead! Sorry I hate to say it! But if you choose to shot the walkers that were coming close and then Bonnie tries to grab his hand. Then… more they both fall in the water. Then Clem starts to break the glass with her gun then Clem falls in tries to save Luke but its to late. You see him floating. Then that bitch bonnie blames it on Clem for Lukes death.

Of course he survived, he was a merman. Sarah was also immune to the walker bites, Alvin merely passes out due to exhaustion, Rebecca just got a bad cold, Carlos fell into an underground safe haven, Pete managed to stop himself turning, and Nicks fine. Its a shame what happened to the Nick cosplayer in Amid the Ruins though

Dont rise your hopes much up. There is big big difference between Kenny's and Luke's endings which fans tend to neglect when they are talkin… moreg about "Kenny's kind of luck": Kenny was MiA presumed to be dead because of tough situation and with Luke we actully saw him dying by drowning.
So, it wasnt like Kenny got ressurected out of drowning but just case of unresolved cliffhanger which could be easily written if writers tought it was relevant to the storyline. But, apparently, that story was irrelevant to storyline so it was never made.
In Luke's case it would be needed too much imagination and too much neglecting of obvious facts that his death could ever consider to be "cliffhanger". There is nothing left hanging in air. He simply died in front of Clem's eyes and wanished into darkness so we coudn't see him actually turned. But that doesnt mean it didnt happen.
To save Luke from that writers would have to make him immortal (even merm… [view original content]
It's the type of game where you got to pay attention to who you see actually die. Take the whole Kenny thing for example, everyone thought there was no way he would get out of that and he did. Luke was my favorite character of season 2 and that's why I'd obviously like to say he lived but it did look pretty bad. The choices come down to Clem either covering him or going to help him. If you cover him then Bonnie goes to save him and fucks the whole thing up. When Clem goes to help him it leads to the ending where Luke saves her and you see him getting dragged down by the Walker, which, he could have escaped because it didn't actually show him die. Also like Christa who it didn't show die either. When Clem covers him then you have to struggle to brake the ice only to find him underneath the surface dead as disco. Makes me wonder if one ending he lives and the other he dies. Unfortunately I think he is dead, but no one will really know until season 3, you can all pretend you know, but in reality no one does
In a zombie apocalypse, anyone can die unless you have plot armor like Clementine. Season 2 was never about Luke or Kenny. It was about defining Clementine and what kind of survivor you wanted her to be.
Edit: Lol why was this thread brought back to life?

Maybe he was just acting like he was dead, so that when Clementine couldn't see him anymore, he turned into a Merman and swam away?
Luke was sadly just one of the many casualties lost to this shit narrative.

Luke's death was written way before season 2 episode 5.
Don't worry, Lee is god now ;_;
I'm with you man, he's alive. Totally.. Totally alive.
GOD ALL Y'ALL JUST MAKING IT WORSE! He's a little sick, but we can't just quit!
Awww, that kenny quote though.

HE IS A MAJESTIC FUCKING MERMAID!!!!!!
I wonder if the actor for Lee Everett ever answers the phone as Lee.
I would...
"Clementine is that you?"
Sometimes you have to find ways to have fun with Indian Call centers. Getting angry isn't the answer.

Aw, don't get sad T.T here:
It might be the smallest window in the world, but it's there ^^ so don't be upset.

Insert Best cry ever..
Well, my Lee came back on occasion.
Haunting way of looking at that song, never thought of this scene that way. Thumbs up.
Yes, Luke really died. He's frozen at the bottom of the lake; let it go Luke fans. Don't let his fate hold you back anymore from enjoying the season.
oh .....I am never looking at that song the same way again.
Thanks, a lot I am drowning in feels right now.
