I'm looking forward to playing as Clementine. I need to see her summon her inner BigB Wolf and Asher Forester. We had the BigB Wolf door kick in season 2 now we need the Asher Forster Grin and head-butt.
S1 is really Clem's story. We play from Lee's POV, but it's essentially Clementine's story. I'll play regardless, but Clem better be the PC.… more The first two seasons would be pointless to just give up on her character now. The way I took Kirkman was that saying we'll drop in and see what Clem's up to is so as to not give away any juicy details about S3. But I am glad to know that we'll be seeing her again.
but the comics and game ARE connected. They're in the same Universe. We saw Glenn and Hershal in Season 1 and we had Lilly who was retconned into being a different Lilly

Them being in the same universe does not mean that they are connected. Hershel and Glenn were just cameos, and even if Lilly hadn't been retconned, it would still have not been a major connection and more like an extended cameo.

Well, Kirkman said that S3 will be in the same time frame the comics are in now and that the comic story would have more of an effect on S3. They're def connected.

No, it doesn't but Kirkman once said that events from Telltale's The Walking Dead actually happened in the comic universe. Those storyline's, apart of cameos, are connected because of the world they are sharing and nothing more than that.

Yes, I'm aware that they're canon to one another, but the groups are still very different people in very different places. There's no reason for them to meet other than plot.

While I thought Clementine being the main character was cool, I do have one nit pick: dialogue. If anyone wanted to learn more about Clem, … morethey would have to find someone to talk to or wait for a dialogue scene and hope that our interactions would lead to the supporting character asking Clem about her life (I hope that made sense). If Clem is the deuteragonist, we can actually ask her those questions. Let me use Clem's age from Season 2 as an example. The only reason we found out about her age was because of a scene in episode 2 where Bonnie asks us our [Clementine's] age. If we were another character instead of Clementine, we could ask something like that back in episode 1.
Here is one more scenario in case I sound confusing. Let's say in Season 3, we are Clem. If there is a time skip and we want to learn more about her, we have to wait until either somebody asks us the necessary or for Clem to just make a random verbal thought. N… [view original content]
Yes, by canon. The events that happen in the game happen simultaniously to something else in the comics. But until now, they were only loosely connected by two comic cameos (excluding Michonne). It sounds like Season 3 will change that, though.

No one? That's a pointless argument. Season 2 is an example of how not to do a timeskip. Season 3 is probably not even fully written. No one can know how good it will be.

Oh, you mean that way. Of course, yes I agree with you 100%. I mean, yeah they share the same world but still I'd like those storylines to remain seperate, be their own things instead of mixing it or anything like that.

I hope that the next group Clementine meets doesn't face extinction like the last two. Oh, and I hope that the next group doesn't rely on Clementine to do everything for them. Wouldn't it be awesome to have a group Clementine is in that doesn't face extinction by the end of the season? Like a group similar to Ricks?
I also hope that season three injects the fact that people are the threat, not the dead. This season better give Clementine the sense that in order to survive, you need to kill humans.

Yes, it would be nice for some of the NPCs to not die by the end of the season. In S1 it was fine b/c the story was leading up to Clem being the PC, but in S2 I felt like a lot of the drama was forced.

Yes please. I hope they don't mess around with antagonists this season and make them last for an episode. Carver proved as a promising villain in the first two episodes but once we were in episode three, I felt everything go downhill. He had so much potential and it was just thrown away. And yeah, I fully agree with you on survivor groups Clementine encounters - Telltale should focus on groups more often. It'd be awesome if they managed to make us actually fall in love with every single character in our group similar to how the TV show does it so if we do meet Clementine's demise, we can hopefully carry on with the story of The Walking Dead.
Also, it's almost been two years into the apocalypse now(I think?). Telltale better introduce threats similarly to the Wolves, or the Saviours. Humans should be the ones to fear, not walkers. I pray that season three won't be Clementine and others clenching a knife in fear because of one walker in the way.

Close comics to say Clem will be 13-14 and not 15+ . Carl is 13 now so Clem will be even 12-13 years old because is CLOSE not after comics ... she can't be more 14 ... right?

You did not understand. Clementine was bigger than Carl in season 3, if Season 3 was exactly where comics, but it will be close to the comics, then Clementine can be 12-13 not more than 14
Someone told me about the news about Clementine coming back in season 3. Which isn't a surprise i guess. But if it is going to be a older clementine and not pick up where season 2 left off, that pretty much throws all of your decisions that you made in season 2 out of the window. Unless you just see them reflected back at you in prop form, similar to "the stranger" at the end of Season 1.
Just when you thought your decisions in these games matters, Telltale trolls you yet again!
There are so many branching possibilities in those final minutes of Season 2 that it's hard to imagine Season 3 picking up where the story left off. Which thread would it choose? Selecting just one to exist as "canon" would rob the other choices of their meaning, and that's not what Telltale is about.
"When we got to Season 2, we had a plan in the back of our minds of how we would make all these endings keep those threads going forward," Telltale Games CEO Kevin Bruner told Mashable.
Season 3 will take an "unexpected" approach, according to Bruner. Lots of people in the fan community are expecting something that neatly ties together all the possible threads, but Bruner promised that it won't be nearly so obvious.
"From a role-playing, interactive storytelling point of view, it is not from the bag of tricks that we've ever shown anybody before," he said.
"The way that we're dealing with and validating and retaining all those different playthroughs is really cool and unexpected and, I think, pretty innovative from the storytelling point of view.

Me too. I also hope Clementine doesn't get portrayed as a teen mom with a toddler. Something about that unsettles me.
