Then why make so many branching possibilities in the first place? Sounds like backpedaling to me. They've walked back many things with their games since I've been playing them. To the point to where i expect it to some degree.
And i think what he meant by "cool and unexpected" is "we made up a bunch of new shit because we manufactured a developmental mountain with Season 2 we cant or dont feel like coding our way off of. Lol, you'll buy it anyway. STFU."
They aren't ignoring Season 2 endings according to the Mashable interview:
There are so many branching possibilities in those final min… moreutes of Season 2 that it's hard to imagine Season 3 picking up where the story left off. Which thread would it choose? Selecting just one to exist as "canon" would rob the other choices of their meaning, and that's not what Telltale is about.
"When we got to Season 2, we had a plan in the back of our minds of how we would make all these endings keep those threads going forward," Telltale Games CEO Kevin Bruner told Mashable.
Season 3 will take an "unexpected" approach, according to Bruner. Lots of people in the fan community are expecting something that neatly ties together all the possible threads, but Bruner promised that it won't be nearly so obvious.
"From a role-playing, interactive storytelling point of view, it is not from the bag of tricks that we've ever shown anybody before," he said.

Close comics to say Clem will be 13-14 and not 15+ . Carl is 13 now so Clem will be even 12-13 years old because is CLOSE not after comics ... she can't be more 14 ... right?
If they could connect Michonne and Clementine at Season Three in some cool way, then that (IN MY OPINION) would be the most INCREDIBLE thing that could ever happen. I mean HOLY SH*T, I personally loved the Michonne DLC, so connecting that character with good ol' Clem would be awesome.
Kirkman has confirmed Clementine will be older. Says season 1, and season 2 take place at the beginning of the book series. While the current comics are 4 years later. Season 3 will be caught up to the comics. So it sounds like Clementine will be around 13, and AJ will be 2. Also does not confirm she will be the playable character, only that she will be there.
We already have that on the Season 3 official waiting thread https://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/89250/season-3-waiting-thread/ , I am pretty sure we are supposed to disscuss about it there.
I highly doubt so; we're going to be making a separate Season 3 Episode 1 Waiting Thread (which comes out this year), and it took the Season 3 Waiting Thread a little under a year and a half just to reach 1 million views.

Eh, I think actually reaching the 1 Million views will be a challenge in itself (there are still almost 60.000 views missing, that isn't exactly nothing)

Isn't she that age in season 2?
no ... in s2 she's 11 and she's look like 9 to me
There will be a time skip that renders our choices pointless, and all we'll hear about those choices will be little dialogue choices.
Telltale have a story to tell and they don't want our decisions getting in the way.

Pretty much what I expect to happen
Checking in on Clem?
Well that pretty much confirms that she won't be the main PC!
Hope so. I want to play a generic white guy hero.
we'll see once we get dat season 3, but 14 or 15 does it really matter?
Well at least you're honest about it.
I..really don't see how it confirms that?

[Mod edit: Let's not discuss banned users here, guys. Thanks!]
Edit: Whoops sorry about that.
I still see the original message in my inbox.
I know...
That doesn't necessarily mean Clem won't be the PC. Just sayin
Clementine will and pity for you. You Deserve!
Clem will be in S3
NO WAY
From season 3?? Clem is 13 - 14 and AJ is 2 - 3 ...
Clem is 17 years old

Don't visit here that much anymore. Wasn't aware.
Ok :P
Maybe one day it'll hit 2 million.
She's 11 in S02
I don't think so, season 3 will probably have ended once it gets even close to that :P
Possibly. Though, season 3 doesn't even have it's first trailer out yet and already has 1 million. You never know.
I highly doubt so; we're going to be making a separate Season 3 Episode 1 Waiting Thread (which comes out this year), and it took the Season 3 Waiting Thread a little under a year and a half just to reach 1 million views.
Oh I wasn't aware of that. In that case it's certainly not getting 2 million views. My bad.
Yeah, but admittedly we kinda jumped the gun and made the thread super early.
That's also true, heh.
So excited that Kirkman hinted we will check in on Clementine. Maybe this means we will play as someone else!
Eh, I think actually reaching the 1 Million views will be a challenge in itself (there are still almost 60.000 views missing, that isn't exactly nothing)
this has been the season 3 waiting thread from the start.
Whoa, she must have took a very long sun bath
She is part black you know.
