You still did not answer where you are seeing Michonne spoilers?
Also, spoilers for previous episodes are fair game most of the time. Even though Michonne is a spinoff, we make the assumption that players have played all previous episodes of a series. There is not much to discuss if you come on here without playing the game and seeing the story unfold first!
As for the merged thread, I accidentally merged a thread here instead of into the Michonne Episode 3 Waiting thread, which is my bad. Apologies for that.
They would have to be on the last page or so. I only came here because I clicked a merged Michonne thread, and this is where I was taken. It's not my fault. Spoilers are not allowed in here, especially unmarked.

Who else thinks we might just encounter Negan and the Saviors in Season 3?
I'd prefer to continue playing as Clem, the Telltale storyline… more for TWD has always been about her journeys in the zombie apocalypse, plus I really want to see Season 2 choices go full circle as we play an older Clem affected by those decisions.
I do wonder if she'll make a minor cameo in the comics...
I know plenty of people don't want to play as Clem anymore (even though their reasons for this CAN be fixed) but having Clem merely "drop i… moren" during season 3 makes season 1 & 2 pointless for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not one of those "No Clem, No Buy!" People. However, my statement stands.
Season 1 was playing as lee to almost shape clementine. Make her ready for what's about to come, give her experience. Season 2 was using what lee taught her. Then if she's barely there in season 3.... What's the point? It would be a waste. Clementines story certainly isn't finished.
As long as she's in, I'm happy. Forcing them to write her in as the main character, if that isn't their plan, would probably mean a weaker story. And that's what matters, the story.
Honestly I think a time skip in Season 3 of the game is the best thing they could do.
It seems like there is a 50/50 split between people… more wanting clementine to stay the protagonist, and the others who don't want clementine to stay as the protagonist.
People who don't want Clem to be the protoagonist always use the excuse that "she's too young, she can't make her own decisions, no one listens to her, I want to be an adult, etc." but I think making Clem older can solve both these problems. Still play as clementine, and be old enough to make our own decisions and actually have other characters listen to Clem. Most wouldn't listen to a little girl in the apocalypse.
Though this does leave the confusion of what happened during the time skip. Maybe they could give a brief summary of what they skipped, I'm not sure. But I still think this is the best choice.
I dont mind if we get a new protagonist and Clem takes a back seat, but we do get to check in on her and AJ. I want to see something new, thats one reason I was so excited about Michonne. I havent really been that hyped about season three so anything that will breathe some new life into it would be welcome.
Checking in on Clementine
Sure as hell sounds like they're treating her like a side charecter. I mean seriously, did ttg forget that… more the wd WE GAMERS KNOW is ALL.ABOUT.CLEM
(whatever 'close to comics' stuff he spoke)
Dont fuck a great series up telltale. We want a ttg storyline just like it has been for past 4-5 years. Dont add any other 'new' charecter like Michonne to ur original wd (i love michonne but the original series must stay undistubed by 'new protagonists' and stuff)
return of a fan favorite character (ttg blog)
Fans dont want you to give us more of clem coz we want, fans xpect you to KNOW that clem's story must continue bcoz the we want it to!
AND WHY THE HELL IS TTG LIKE
clem is back, return of clem, we'll see clem again
CLEM WAS NEVER LOST OR FORGOTTEN DAMMIT! In all endings of s2 EVERYONE KNOWS IT IS OBVIOUS THAT THE STORY HASNT ENDED AND THERE IS A LOT MORE FOR THAT PRE-TEEN… [view original content]
I read on a web site that hey are gonna drop clementine and welcome a new main character, although we all know what krikman said that they are gonna "check" on her, but that doesn't mean they will keep her in the game right? What do you guys think
The fact we are going to be "checking in on Clementine" during season 3 means she will be in the game in some way but they haven't announced how involved she will be yet.
There is also no information about who the protagonist will be but we should hopefully be getting some more news during the San Diego Comic Con in July.

What if the character we chose is actually integral through the whole game? That'd be cool. It would be tough and need several scripts and story arcs, but I'd pay 40 or 60 for that game.
Well, if Telltale wants to take the easy road, all the endings could matter in terms of the characters who appear, but they all end up in We… morellington. If you had the Kenny endings, if you left with Kenny then maybe within the next 2 years they were allowed back in, if you left Kenny he could be gone and Clem alone or I guess he could have also been let back in. For Jane endings, within the 2 years Wellington could have continued to grow and become more realistic of a goal and they might have gone there with or without the family, and if Clem is alone, same for the Jane endings, within that time Wellington might have became big and known, which would lead to her going there.

I really hope people wont be quoting this "checking in on clementine" thing for months on end, I dont want another repeat of "kenny's fate will be explored".
(!) 'The Walking Dead: Comic Series' Spoilers Ahead!
The other communities up north are Alexandria, Hilltop, the Kingdom and the Sanctuary. They take part in a trading network along with Oceanside, although it isn't clear how the latter connects in. What we do know is that both Pete and Siddiq end up in them, along with Michonne who was a former Alexandria inhabitant. I don't think that there's much hope of seeing them in Wellington, to be honest.
So Michonne left between Day 623 - 1437. Day 867/869 is when Season 2 ends. The problem is that Clementine between 356 (Omid is shot)-843 (beginning of Season 2) was in Georgia/North Carolina. By 869 she's in Tennessee, Ohio, or God knows where. So, they would have to intersect somehow either before Season 2 or after it. It's kind of hard.
Something interesting came to mind; didn't Job say we would "DEFINITELY" want to play Michonne before Season 3? With the recent news that Se… moreason 3 likely ties into the comics a bit more, maybe some of Michonne's story will connect? I don't read the comics, so that depends on how close/far off Michonne's story is compared to where the comics are currently at.
In Episode 3 of Michonne, they did mention that Paige, Sam, Alex, and James were going to be dropped up north. Isn't that where Wellington was? So maybe Wellington will tie into the plot of Season 3 somehow.

I'd like to see Clementine as an NPC with a personality based on decisions we made for her in the previous seasons. Given the fatherly tone of the first season I'd rather interact with her and see how well I did "raising" her than continue to play as her.
That'd be awesome for those who had Clem stay in Wellington. That'd mean if you stay in Wellington (or stay with Kenny waiting for room to open up in Wellington) You may run into them! But if you go with Jane you probably won't since you head back north. And if you go a lone hard to say who you'll meet cause it don't say WHERE Clem is walking to...

Since sam can burn to death, I doubt we will see any of them again. The other three were not that developed and Id rather sam didnt have to die so they could reappear

I'm hoping that 'checking in' means that .. if we don't get to play her .... we get to join up with her. And that 'where she is' is based on our previous choices for her. So like if she's in Wellington, we meet her (or play her) there, and she has baby AJ with her (Possibly 1 to 3 years old depending on time skip). If she stays with Kenny I hope we get to see Kenny in Season 3 for those with that story choice. Same goes for both Jane choices. Solo choice will be most interesting as if you ain't playing as her she'll seem like a loner to your character and only you the player will know all she went through.
don't get me wrong I am glad clementine is in s3 however his choice of words doen't make feel confrodent that we get to play as her again, "… moredropped in" makes it seem its going to be short. also there is going to be a time skip so I am not sure how the endings to s2 will play in to or have any effect if any,
Yeah even if she's 14 15 years old she's more close to a maturity that'd be taken serious during an apocolypse. Time skip wise, why would they have to explain anything? They skipped 16 months and never explained what happened to Christa's baby. Sooo I don't expect much there. Heck all through season 2 Clem talked about her past with Lee and Kenny. She only mentioned Christa in terms of "Where is she." and "We have to find her." The only clues we have at all is Clem has the choice to say "I don't know how." When offered to hold AJ. That would imply she never held Christa's baby. So that's the only hint we have to a miscarriage. It would also explain Clem's face changing between the start of episode 1 and the 16 month skip. She sounded different, looked different. So did Christa. Possibly depressing for losing Imid then losing the baby shortly after that. Random question though... if a new born baby died ... did it become a walker? I'd hate to imagine Christa stabbing or Clem shooting an infant to put it down. I wonder if babies are immune? Funny how in the game, show, and comic we always see child, teen, adult, elder zombies .... but we NEVER see or touch on the subject of a toddler or baby turning. Either the virus don't effect people that young (Simular to not turning animals) or they don't want to touch such a ummm sensitive subject....
Honestly I think a time skip in Season 3 of the game is the best thing they could do.

Oh yeah I totally agree and was saying that too. I'd love to play her again, BUT if I'm not playing her, I want her to be the Clem I made her to be, and see where it took her in raising AJ. And What type of young lady she is. If she's NOTHING like the Clem I created I'd be hurt.
I'd like to see Clementine as an NPC with a personality based on decisions we made for her in the previous seasons. Given the fatherly tone … moreof the first season I'd rather interact with her and see how well I did "raising" her than continue to play as her.

S1 is really Clem's story. We play from Lee's POV, but it's essentially Clementine's story. I'll play regardless, but Clem better be the PC. The first two seasons would be pointless to just give up on her character now. The way I took Kirkman was that saying we'll drop in and see what Clem's up to is so as to not give away any juicy details about S3. But I am glad to know that we'll be seeing her again.
While I thought Clementine being the main character was cool, I do have one nit pick: dialogue. If anyone wanted to learn more about Clem, they would have to find someone to talk to or wait for a dialogue scene and hope that our interactions would lead to the supporting character asking Clem about her life (I hope that made sense). If Clem is the deuteragonist, we can actually ask her those questions. Let me use Clem's age from Season 2 as an example. The only reason we found out about her age was because of a scene in episode 2 where Bonnie asks us our [Clementine's] age. If we were another character instead of Clementine, we could ask something like that back in episode 1.
Here is one more scenario in case I sound confusing. Let's say in Season 3, we are Clem. If there is a time skip and we want to learn more about her, we have to wait until either somebody asks us the necessary or for Clem to just make a random verbal thought. Now let's say we are a different character from Clem. We can interact with her and ask those questions ourselves. Here's as even better idea, how we interact with Clem determines if she opens up to us, what she reveals, and when she reveals it. Bad interactions will give us very little backstory. Being too pushy for details or being too distant will also reveal very little. There has to be this optimal balance where Clem will reveal things. Everyone's playthrough will contain different little gems, if any at all. It would be a cool way for choices to really tailor to your gameplay. Want to know all the juicy details, don't piss off Clem and ask the right questions at the right time.
This is just an idea. Trying to imagine how this works between script writing, continuity in the story, and the dialogue/interaction coding in the TellTale tool gives me a headache. I'm obviously not a programmer. What do you guys think?

I did answer? I think the poster removed or tagged them since my post, though.
There are still spoiler rules, and the finale of Michonne just came out today, and us iOS users don't even have it yet.
Isn't Clementine still well to the south of whereabouts they are in the comics, though? at least in theory.
I really doubt they'll go that route. I think if she's in S3 it's likely to be a pretty major role, if she isn't the player character.

Yeah, at the start of the comics Carl is 7 and in the game Clementine says she is 8 so they are roughly 1 year apart.

If she's not the protagonist (which I think she will be) then she needs to be central in the story. A la Season one.

Well, if Clem is in Wellington she's actually northwest, and at Howe's southwest.

Not necessarily. Any good storyteller knows to focus on events that will be most interesting.
Cinema blend I think, they wrote that they had an iterview with Clems voice actor, she told that should introduce a new main character in the game
My summer holidays will end till July
A link to this would be better, you know.
Agreed. The only way it can be lazy is if certain things on previous events that were on screen and off were not addressed.
I've listened to Melissa a lot. She loves being Clementine, so I can't imagine she'd want to cede the main role to someone else.
