Could be huge news. Depends on what is classed as "1st details". To me, that's usually the release date, number of episodes, protagonists etc. Release date and episode numbers seem very unlikely to be revealed from Kirkman, so maybe he lets slip who will be the main character(s) of season 3.
If the interview with Kirkman is about Michonne but will spill some details about Season 3, I wonder if that means if anything in Michonne is going to show something related to season 3.

I've been waiting for like ages on details for this season!
Much like the guy next to me....
RIP Random Dude
EDIT: But seriously, I am really curious about what the details are and how Kirkman's role into is played out to be? Maybe he's closely knitted to the third season?
FINALLLLYYYYY!!! I still remember the day when this thread started two years ago... There were comments like 'this is gonna be a long wait/thread' 'wake me up when...' damn... About time 'eh?
Wow i'm just so.... How do i xpress myself

I should probably mention, I don't recommend going in with super high expectations expecting tons of major info to be dropped. I can see us getting some moderate info or teasers, but I can't imagine it's gonna be extensive. I'd love to be proven wrong, of course, but Telltale usually saves the juicy info for later down the line. The high end of my expectations will be Robert Kirkman giving a vague prelude towards the end of the interview at what general direction Season 3 is gonna go in.

I can imagine him saying that Season 3 will happen, it'll be released either this or next year and it'll continue the story from previous seasons. I wouldn't be surprised if it's only that.

CLEM! I'm happy we're not losing her. She is the main character of the game and I like that it's remaining that way. (Hoping for another few protagonists too to allow for different perspectives too.)
Clem confirmed! Never doubted it. An older version of her, doesn't sound too good, but closer to the comics, sounds awesome. Hopefully she's still the pc. If so, the choices made in S2 are going to greatly effect her.
Hmm, so this will be practically a few years, I'm not exactly sure how many, into the future. Which means whichever ending you picked, Clem will already be settled in at Howe's/Wellington/Wherever she went with Kenny or AJ. Interesting. I wonder how good of a job will Telltale make.
This new news is actually pretty interesting. All we know for sure is that Season 3 will be close to the comic's current chapter, feature Clementine in some unknown capacity, and will tie a bit more into the comics. I know several forum members will be unhappy about the comics and game starting to rub shoulders, but I think this will be more interesting than we think. It seems like Kirkman is using the game as a way to tell or reveal certain aspects of the comic story that he hasn't been able to cover i.e. Michonne's disappearance. Season 3 looks pretty good with what little we have. Let's see how far TellTale will push the envelope.
I'm surprised at the amount of news we got from that interview! I was only expecting a slight amount of new info, such as Clem being in Season 3, but not so much the other info we got.
I just hope the time skip is handled a little more gracefully than the time skip in Season 2.

I know it's a bit early, but this update has me hyped as fuck.
Juts
"1st details", that sounds awfully important.

When's the interview?
Probably gonna take about as long as the Tales and GoT interviews.

Pretty sure those are actually never going to be released.

Didnt xpect the new about s3 so soon as michonne concludes now... Wow
I hope so, he didn't seem to do anything for Season Two.
Season 3 news?!
I hope it is actually something substantial and not just a few inky dinky details.
telltale literally got me from 0
to 100
with one news
Do not steal
what
Is Kirkman pleased with this game, I wonder? Does it capture Michonne the way he intended?
HYPE!
I wonder that, too
One news all needed.
Guess we'll find out won't we?
I can't imagine Telltale would be promoting it if he wasn't. :P

I mean, yeah you would hope so, but you never know. I would like to hear it from the horses mouth.
Honestly anything would be good with me. He could literally say, "There will be a season 3" and I will mark out.
EVEN A MENTION OF S3 IN INTRVW WILL XCITE TRUE WD FANS LIKE ME

CLEM CONFIRMED FOR SEASON 3
Awesome news
It looks like IGN saw the Robert Kirkman interview early so hopefully Telltale will release it public soon.
Edit: You can watch the video on IGN http://uk.ign.com/articles/2016/04/25/telltales-the-walking-dead-season-3-will-be-checking-in-on-clementine

He also says that season 3 will take place at around the same time the comics are currently set, making Clementine something like 13, 14 at a push.

I kinda figured we'd be seeing 14 or 15 year old Clem for a while now. Since the comic time jump.
This news is hype-worthy beyond belief.

Agreed. At least an episode to see what happens with Kenny/Jane/Wellington/ClemZombieHoard/AJ.
This is also a really good way to handle the determinant endings. Because as much as we'd like to just start where we left off, that'd be impossible.
Oh I'm ready for season three
