and I was happy to see Sarah get killed off
Other than this forum that isn't an unpopular opinion at all. You should see how many people agree with you in Youtube comments of videos of her death. It scares me kinda
I dont like the Jane endings, not because its Jane, but that they just feel kind of awkward and unplanned
I didnt think Amid the ruins wa… mores that bad
I felt like Episode 3 was the perfect time for Carver to go, and he was used as efficiently as possible
So you were serious? Well then, as I said, stupid comment.
noone can say this game isn't overrated.
This is actually a pretty popular opinion, albeit worded weird as hell.
WTF?! It is not a viable opinion that Season 2 sucks? lel try again pls
It's a very viable option, but you saying "noone can say this game isn't overrated" is not. lul try again plz
I was blinded by the fame of Season 1
That reasoning is stupid. I'm generally annoyed by second playthroughs period, doesn't mean i think a game is "all of a sudden" bad, than again I don't ride momentum/hype trains either.
The game was horribly written, there was zero story and all the writer's ideas clashed and mixed everything up, like all the characters were asshole in Ep1, but then they make a 180 turn.
Well, there ya go, you added your opinion. It was stupid. If that's seriously your analyses, can't say I agree with you because you lack decent perception skills. I think this would've fit better at your last bullet than "noone can say this game isn't overrated."
There's stupid written all over this.
How again? Because I think the game is bad?
Bold statement supported by zero facts

Just said it took you half a year to realize "how bad it was"
Because I was blinded by the fame of Season 1, and I genuinley enjoyed Season 2 while it was running. But I tried to replay and I literally couldn't because it annoyed me so much.
Much stupid here.
I agree, your comment is pretty stupid.
I know people would say its the most "real", which I guess it is, but I think my problem with it is that there is just 0 emotion in it, same with the alone ending, and I feel like The Walking Dead's biggest point is to make you feel emotional.
He shot one girl he THOUGHT had murdered his sister in cold blood. Clementine wouldn't have even needed to shoot his sister if it wasn't for Arvo falsely accusing the group that they stole from him.(Depending on what choice you chose either way) Even then, he was stealing meds from his own group and lying about having a sick sister. Clementine shot his sister in self-defense but Arvo shot Clementine just because he felt like it. He doesn't deserve a death worse than Carver but i'd slap him any day for shooting Clementine for no reason.
Why does Arvo deserve a worse death than Carver? He shot one girl he thought had murdered his sister in cold blood, while Carver killed peop… morele based on what he thought they might do to his community in the future.
Honestly, I don't think anyone deserves a horrible death.

Maybe its just me not liking the Jane ending, but I dont think her hugging Jane is as emotional as the Kenny endings at all. When she hug Jane, did you feel anything emotional, or were you just happy that Jane was changing a little. And you can also just send them away
0 emotion
Um, really?
Jane is hugged for opening up their camp for survivors. Not only is that emotional, that is the perfect conclusion to her season 2 character arc.
You are really fucking annoying me right now. This is an 'unpopular opinion' thread, so you should expect to see a comment you disagree with.
Also, I brought my opinion in in every single point I make, this is still an opinion thread. My opinion is that Season 2 sucks, and how you so eloquently put it, I was 'riding the hype train'. That is not a stupid argument at all.
I love Season 1, and had high expectations for Season 2. I wanted to see those fulfilled.
After the Season was finished and I wanted to replay, I already knew that I didn't like Season 2, so I couldn't bring myself to play it again. I said Season 2 overall, not while it was still running (I don't consider that as my final opinon as I was blinded by Season 1 and on the hype train).
Also, there's no reason to be a total dick, your very first sentence was an insult, so you should expect to be treated the same.

That's because you specifically like Kenny. I would have found them eye-roll worthy.
Thus the Kenny endings aren't intrinsically more emotional. You just personally found them to be so for you.
You seem to not understand that people feel different things to you? I felt very emotional. In my playthrough I let Jane make the decision, and she chose to them them in. When Patricia huggs Jane, music plays and Clem looks over and smiles warmly.

...Until season three where they arbitrarily kill her off because she's determinant as fuck now. I'm happy my Clem is by herself (and that damned baby), may not have been "emotional," but I think considering not one part in the final episode made me feel a thing other than disappointed, I'm fine with not having my heartstrings tugged at.
And honestly, I just wanted a fresh cast for my game. Because, Jesus on a crutch were the characters getting too dumb and uninteresting for me to even care remotely for them.

For me that showed things were looking okay.
I guess everyone looks at things differently which is a good thing. I didn't get the Jane ending but I watched it on youtube and I didn't get the same feeling. The family's presence made me feel uneasy and like they had something to hide. The music was kind of mysterious instead of normal. Even if it wasn't the most emotional ending for me it was the most realistic one.

Yeah, this may have been a good idea with the multiple endings. People have their preferences on what they thought would be the right/better ending for them. It's easy to say "this ending sucked, this ending was better", but we got to choose depending on how the player wanted it to go (and if not there's always the chapter rewind function lol). It's cool that @Flog61 thought the Jane ending was more fitting and @Everyone'sClemInTime is happy with the alone ending, it means Telltale did something right.

Didn't click on the thread not expecting anyone to disagree with me, were you? You should've known that saying "noone can say this game isn't overrated" is going to draw attention. That wasn't even an attempt at an opinion.

The Youtube comment section is and always has been a constant cesspool of shitty people, it doesn't surprise me at all at how horrible they are towards Sarah.
Christa and/or Lilly shouldn't return in season 3. I like them both but it might just feel a little too convenient if we randomly run into them again like Kenny in season 2.
He had some good lines and moments but I have something againts abuse towards kids, girls, people who are weaker and who dont deserve the punishment so Troy was kinda a piece of shit in my eyes...
1- I like Jane and would choose her versus Kenny every time hands down.
2- I LoL a lot with Duke's antics, he had no brains at all but was a sweet boy with a good heart, more than his father ever could have.
3- I like Lee but I like Clem more ;-)
I don't like Luke.
I like Clementine more than I like Lee.
Season 2 was good.
I like Sarah.
I don't hate Lilly.
I wanted Lill… morey to come back more than Kenny.
Mike,Luke and Nick weren't very interesting characters.
I didn't mind Duck.
I didn't care for AJ that much.
I liked Shel more than Wyatt,Eddie,Bonnie,Vince and Russel combined in the 400 days DLC(I hated that Nate guy). Don't ask why, because I don't know.
I'm not ready to let Clementine go and I probably won't play season 3 if Clementine's not there.
Okay, great topic idea by the way
and yeah some of mine are:
* I loved playing Clem more than Lee
* Season 2 was better (becuase of… more the choices to her personality) in my opinion
* I really liked Chuck and I was pissed when he died
* I liked Bonnie... till that episode in Season 2
-I like Vince and wish he could be more of a main-side character
* There should be more Asians in TWDG (I'm not Asian, I just think Asians are hawt xD )
The ending where you let the family into Howe's is the best ending of all.
Kenny's endings are contrived to the point of accidental hilarity.
AJ and Clem die in the Alone Ending.
Kenny's endings are contrived to the point of accidental hilarity.
Pretty much any moment Kenny had with Clem that was trying to invoke 'feels' could fall under the category of accidental hilarity.
-Nick is the most interesting character of Season 2 (or was, up until they decided fuck Nick, and had him say 3 more lines before killing him)(Also, Nick was only beaten out by Omid and Christa, which... Yeah...)
-Kenny is one of the worst people in The Walking Dead game, aside from Crawford, and Jane
-Jane is the worst character in the whole Walking Dead franchise
-Lilly was a decent person
-Duck's death scene was more emotionally impacting than Lee's death scene.
I came to like Kenny in episode 2 but after the lake scene in episode 5 I disliked him again but was still emotional when he died.
I was glad when I thought Jane might have killed AJ but when I found out he was alive, I was disappointed, (if given the chance I would leave AJ behind without even thinking about it).
I liked Season 2 more than Season 1 because Season 2 had no hubs and was shorter.
I liked Sarah's second death more than her first because it was slightly more surprising.

I liked both Kenny and Jane.
I liked both Sarah and Duck

The Jane endings are less Hollywood movie-ending hopeful/overly emotional/look how badass.
I liked them because they were the most real.
I don't like Luke.

Eh, whatever. You want me to change it, fucking fine. Tell me what to write instead. I'm open for ideas.
It wasn't meant as a provocation as you seem to think, it was to illustrate my point. It's meant as an embellishment, not a 'bold' statement.
Same goes for Good Ol Uncle Pete. (RIP)
How could you not love him?

Haiiiiiii Asian
Aha I was right! Thanks
ya got that right.

Kenny's endings are contrived to the point of accidental hilarity.
AJ and Clem die in the Alone Ending.
That resumes season 1 and 2 for me and I add:

Season 2 Clem is better than Season 1 Clem
Jane should of never existed
AJ is not only a burden to Clementine but also to the writers
I like Ben. I wish he lived through Season 2.
I wish Christa had died instead of Ben. I would of wanted to see a more hardened Ben after the 16 month time skip instead of Christa
Molly is overrated but she's still better than Jane
I hated playing as Clem.
I thought Luke's death was well done
I never doubted Kenny's sanity during the whole season.
I am still sad over the fact you didn't get the option to leave the baby behind.
