As i enter the meeting room or whatever is called I began thinking, why did I volunteer? I only have 16 years. I know, my sister was going to if I didn´t and she is so damn stubborn and bitch that she will probably piss the careers off and will get killed in the bloodbath, but after this games end she is going to volunteer for the next one´s. And probably mom and dad are going to be pissed at me. I love them, but it´s too much obvious that they love Mara more than me. They always wanted her to be a winner. I am just a “back-up plan” if she doesn´t work or die. She is also more beautiful than me, or at least is what people say. She has blonde hair like our mother Sirena, while I have ginger hair like father Nemo.
While waiting for them to come, I examine the room the walls are from a very lightsome white and the floors are darker color, like a calm grey. There is only one window in the room, which is the only that allows me to see the rest of the room, which is mostly only a black table with some chairs around it and the doors, in the left (behind me) and the right one (In front of me) end of the room. I walk to one of the grey chairs and I sit on it. Then i see the door moving and the angry face of Mara is there. She always had that face, but she is a lot angrier, now.
“WHY!” she yells at me. And she is asking the only thing I don´t know. Anything I can say to her will only get her madder and I don´t want that. What can i do? What can i say to her?
